~}o~VERTIGO 3~o{~fenderjt Vertigo 3 is out now! I have republished this level as i didnt really care for it when i first published it and im hoping it will do better the second time round. My level was constantly rated low when i published it, the haters are after me. To be honest i didnt know i had many but obviously the 2 i have had formed a gang lol i got my level from 1 star to 2 stars to 3 stars and now to 4 in a few hours after publishing, hopefully it will do well now.... http://i745.photobucket.com/albums/xx100/Fenderjt/A20Photo.jpg http://i745.photobucket.com/albums/xx100/Fenderjt/A20Photo_4.jpg http://i745.photobucket.com/albums/xx100/Fenderjt/A20Photo_3.jpg http://i745.photobucket.com/albums/xx100/Fenderjt/A20Photo_1.jpg In this level I have used real water, I make my vertigo levels as real as I can so I thought id include water to give the level a better effect. I have made this level different to 1 and 2, it also has more gameplay. The level is very short due to it being overheated! I really hope you all enjoy my level as much as I enjoyed making it! I have added humour into the level as I like to make people laugh XD obviously I wouldn't miss out trout mouth or a bird getting shot! lol I don't want to give to much away about this level, please play it and let me know what you think. Thank you | 2010-03-02 09:45:00 Author: Fenderjt Posts: 1969 |

I actually had a sneak peek of this level and its awesome! I love what u did with the 3D layer glitch, it actually gave me some inspiration for my next level! the caves look very well done! It has some simple gameplay but it's very fun and addictive! Go Play it!!! | 2010-03-02 16:33:00 Author: javi haguse Posts: 744 |
It just wouldn't be a vertigo level without troutmouth. . that and a remote, scenic setting. As always you got a great use of the 3D glitch going on- I'm remembering a part with little white clouds waaaay in the back that I thought was pretty sweet. The humor was enjoyed, good use of water, and the difficulty of the various obstacles varied which I think is a good thing. And as I've come to expect from these levels you kept a steady use of speech bubbles throughout that help ensure players navigate it smoothly and know what to do next. While this may subtract from the puzzle solving aspect of the level there is a certain charm to it. So good job again Fender, I gave you the old 5 stars and heart for a solidly built and fun level. | 2010-03-02 16:36:00 Author: squirlin Posts: 224 |
Thank you guys, i really appreciate your wonderful feedback. Its good to see that you enjoyed it | 2010-03-02 17:02:00 Author: Fenderjt Posts: 1969 |
So its finally unlocked after some hater rated it 1 star as soon as it was published. I was lucky enough to test this with Tia before it was published, and in my opinion it is the best of the Vertigo series. Again she has used the layer glitch very well and the fact there is now water to go with it all adds to the visuals. This one has much more gameplay than the other two, and was alot of fun to play. Keep up the good work Tia | 2010-03-02 17:22:00 Author: TonyTwoGunz Posts: 139 |
Well, seeing as i had no choice in coming here... Excuuuuuuuuuse me! Lol you didnt have to, you had a choice. But you have so that means your a good friend hehe thanks! @TonyTwoGuns. Thank you for your feedback and thank you for testing this level for me | 2010-03-02 17:25:00 Author: Fenderjt Posts: 1969 |
Just played and had a fun time! Some areas seemed a bit empty, but I suppose that was a trade off for all the nice layer glitch backdrops, which were nice and made if feel like a big open world. I laughed out loud a couple times while playing it too! When the bird gets shot down, I was like "Oh, that's kind of sad.", but then you talk about him still being a live and strong solider... I cracked up! Very funny! | 2010-03-02 18:01:00 Author: mrsupercomputer Posts: 1335 |
hey heyyy this level was great fun....that random bird cracked me up. wen i saw the bit with all the spikes and wheels i was like oh god this is gonna be frustrating but it was really fun bounced thru straight away haha u got the distance and evrything perfect to hav to think fast too. please cud u giv me a bit of feedback on my sack in the box level, its in the level showcase too wud really appreciate it thanks, tom x | 2010-03-02 18:16:00 Author: Bombw87 Posts: 126 |

I still haven't played it yet, but coming from all the comments and since every level in the trilogy has surprised me so far, I definitely can't wait to play this one! | 2010-03-03 00:29:00 Author: Smart_Alex Posts: 189 |
Hey, I tried out this level earlier. It was pretty fun! I liked the gameplay and the light hearted and humorous theme of the level. I thought that your use of the 3D glitch was well done, but thought that some of the objects were too far away, which made the level look more empty than it actually was. Maybe if you used less of the layers the level would look 'fuller.' Anyhow, awesome level, I'll have to go and try out the other levels in the vertigo series as I haven't done that yet! | 2010-03-03 01:39:00 Author: Duffluc Posts: 402 |
Great level again Tia. You've certainly mastered that layer glitch. I gave up with that ages ago. Too difficult for me. I have enough trouble with the normal layers anyway. Love the humour in this level and agree with others about that bird. That was funny. I would like to see you go back to making levels without the layer glitch though as I'm not a fan of that really. I just find it throws up some really weird camera angles and can be confusing and disorientating. It wasn't a major problem in this level because you did point us in the right direction well enough. Good job anyway. | 2010-03-03 01:52:00 Author: mistervista Posts: 2210 |

Just finished playing this. These levels are truly one of a kind, I feel more relaxed after each playthrough. The beautiful 3D scenery, calming music and serene atmosphere really make this level a priviledge to play. Of course after playing both prequels I was on the lookout for Trout Mouth and that 'bullet magnet' of a bird. The latter taking more shots to the face than Jenna Jameson in this iteration. Nice. I liked the fact the this one had alot more platforming than the other two which is a good step in the right direction. Overall, an A Class level, 5* and a much deserved heart. | 2010-03-03 06:18:00 Author: Unknown User |
This one was the best of the three I thought. I was expecting it to end about 3-4 times whiles playing, because of how short the others were. I wasn’t a fan of the other two to tell the truth, they were very pretty… but was short and missing game play I thought. Number three however had loads, it seemed the perfect amount to me… the level flowed very smoothly. I didn’t think it was too short at all, it was a nice length. So thank you very much for making a fun and beautiful level for us all to play, I really enjoyed it… and I rarely enjoy playing levels. Nice job, keep up the good work | 2010-03-03 12:04:00 Author: oLMCo Posts: 96 |
Played this last night - I really enjoyed it. I like that you kicked up the gameplay on this one - it flowed much better than the previous ones and didn't as much feel like a level designed JUST for the sake of the 3D glitch. That being said.... one thing that frustrated me a bit was that when you had a decent puzzle, it was ruined by telling the player EXACTLY what to do to solve it before they got a chance to look around and try to solve it themselves. I suppose it all comes down to the audience you're trying to reach, but I would have preferred a timer showing a "clue" if it took to long for the player to solve the puzzle. I think it would have been a more fulfulling experience. For instance, when you reach the end of the boat trip instead of telling the player "these rocks are too steep to climb - maybe I should swim under the boat", let them try for a bit and experiment..... THEN say something like "these rocks seem too steep to climb.... maybe I should try something different". | 2010-03-03 13:08:00 Author: CCubbage Posts: 4430 |

Im glad someone mentioned this, when i first made that section it was left as the boat crashing with the cave just there. I never left a clue to tell people where to go....but i suddendly had an image in my head of people quitting the level because they couldnt climb the rocks or cant find out where to go next, thats why i added the speech bubbles. I want the younger lbpers to enjoy the level too Thanks for pointing that out, it was something i was aware of hehe i like to hear everyones opinions, good or bad | 2010-03-03 13:30:00 Author: Fenderjt Posts: 1969 |
Whoa Fender! This level is so beautifully made and fun to play. I spent some time just gawking at the scenery you created - was very mystical and mesmerizing and at times, I couldn't believe it was the 3D glitch that produced the stunning backdrop. Of course, as always, the humor in the level was so you - good hearted humor at its best! The obstacles and puzzles were fun and engaging, and I thought your use of water was quite excellent. I also liked the fact that you made it for everyone to enjoy - there was something for everyone in the level. Only thing I'd mention is perhaps you could add a checkpoint in the boat? I got squished after getting off the boat and respawned back at the dock and had to swim back (woe is me, cry me a river - just a very small thing. Needless to say, I loved it! Absolutely stunning and beautiful with fun obstacles and puzzles, with trademark Fender humor to boot! I'd say it's quite perfect! | 2010-03-04 04:18:00 Author: ScoutsBoo Posts: 63 |
Of all of your levels I think I like this one the best. +Nice 3D/Bakscratch layer work (of course) + Some funny dialogue (stealing the boat, the bird & muddy toes) + length & variety in some platforming areas were good too. Some of the platforming was awesome - the slide to fling you up to the sponge was my favorite Parts were a little repetitive with the irregular rock shape climbs and The rocks are everywhere and there's only the one kind. I'd like to see those big shapes brokn up by materials or shading so they aren't as flat. It's pretty easy to finish so players should be enjoying this one a lot. I gave it 5 stars and hearted it | 2010-03-04 06:35:00 Author: Morgana25 Posts: 5983 |
