what has been your strangest ps3 crash ever?

Archive: 14 posts

for a start, i am at my nanas today so i can't get to my ps3, i hope to be unaffected by this clock problem but that is not the point of this thread...

anyway back to crashes.
i'm asking this because my console has crashed twice now watching the bbc iplayer, (this is the same console that owns all, cannot play flash???)
i was watching this virtual revolution thing but the screen crashed when bill gates was being interviewed. AKA while he was on the screen

is this ironic or what?

BTW after a quick reset my console came back to life and then i diddn't watch the end of the programme (it was SOOOO boring!!)

edit:: SOOO sorry, this is in the wrong topic, i guess i'm still too tired can somebody move this plz?

Besides YLoD, That glitch I found where if you make a really fast spinning ninja star with bombs on the tips it crashes the game. it was Really hard to remove from the level as watching it for to long crashes the game :O2010-03-02 07:26:00

When playing KZ2, when I was in the metal factory (where you can get the elemental-slayer trophy, i think), the part where you save next to that weapons rack before continuing on, probably around halfway through the level, would sometimes freeze me up.2010-03-02 16:29:00

When I turned the console on once, the Hud on the menu wouldn't come up.

I had the background, no hud. Had to be repaired

Once Killzone 2 crashed on me as soon as the narrator shouted "Victory!"

The PS3 I originally bought had an issue with the BD laser, so it would crash constantly. I played a ton of motorstorm and would always freeze right before winning a race

Sometimes it was funny, if it locked up as soon as I crashed in the game. Like, dang, I crashed THAT hard!

It's not really a crash but as you probably know, Uncharted 2 had loadings in its videos. In every videos I was playing, the game froze. So I took out the disc and it was dirty(the problem was solved).
Ok, I know, it's not the best story or the scariest but the fact that every videos were freezing the game, made me quite nervous.
