I'm not a 100% sure but I have had a few experiences one when I was 10 and in 2008... I was driving in a car and oddly saw a blury guy who looked just like me running across the road and vanish in to a bush O_@

I apparently saw my deceased grandfather (who had been dead 3 days) at the age of 1 1/2. My mother saw them when she had to get something done for her cancer. I feel like I'm in a neighborhood where there's a ton of ghosts. That count? And btw, I believe this is something more attuned for general chat.

My friend Lisa's sister got in a car accident when I was about 14 or 15 years old. She was unharmed, but I was over her house helping my friend Lisa clean out her wrecked car and get some stuff in order. Lisa and I were alone in the house. I was standing in her kitchen and I asked her if I could have a candy bar. The case of candy bars was sitting by the fridge. When I walked over there, I turned quickly and there was a person standing there. He was wearing a sweater and had a very pale face. It looked as if he was going up the stairs and i had interrupted him. My first thought was that someone was in the house. I turned to my friend to tell her that someone was in the house, and turned back and it was gone. We checked the whole house, but the doors were locked and we were home alone. It was extremely scary. I've seen other things too... but that experience was what made me truly believe in ghosts.

My dad and I were getting ready to go eat somewhere and while I was getting ready he said something had brushed by him and touched him on the shoulder, I even heard him ask about me "John?" And I shout "What!" Another time I was watching TV and my door slightly opened even though the handle on it was stiff and old and it was a windless day. AND one other time I was watching TV(again) and from the corner of my eye I see a small shadow creeping near my fan in the corner. It couldn't have been a rat, they normally run fast between shelves and this shadow just walked over the supports turned around and walked back behind the shelf it came from. The strange part about the shadow under my small fan is that the shadow isn't dark enough to leave something looking pitch black.

I love this kind of stuff. I think I'll share another one. This one is more dream related than ghost related, but it's just as weird. My grandmother died of a brain aneurysm while she was in an MRI machine back in 1999. After she passed away I started having really weird dreams. It wasn't directly after she died, though. Maybe like a year later the dreams started. They would feel different than other dreams. They would feel really real. They all featured me going over to my grandmother's house and talking to her. She kept telling me she was trying to find my grandfather but she couldn't. In the one dream I found her sitting in the closet right when you walk into the house just crying her eyes out and saying "I can't find him, I can't find him"... So these dreams went on for about a year. And then, one day, I dreamt that I was going over to her house to talk to her, as usual, and when I arrived there she was sitting at the kitchen table with my grandfather. She said to me "I found him. I found your grandfather. I'm going to go with him now, so you won't see me anymore" ... and that was the last dream I had about the whole thing. One could argue that it was just me coming to terms with her death in my mind and it was manifesting itself in dream form, but whatever it was, it was extremely weird.

Ive had a few experiences with the paranormal. (this was a couple years ago) one time i had just gotten back from the store and i figure, "Ahh what the hell?" and i started to listen to Smells Like Teen Spirit by Nirvana, i was listening to it a few times while sitting against the wall. i started listening to it again and something grasped my shoulder. i looked back and there was my poster of kurt cobaine on my wall. i looked and the eyes were pointing straight at mine, when i rubbed my eyes they returned to normal again. that really scared the crap out of me One other time i was walking on a road and i saw these 5 dudes drinking and partying, so i said "you dudes having a good time tonight?" and they yelled yeah. There was this one guy that was smoking and a little girl was standing behind him and i said "that your kid?" and he said "what kid?".I looked and the girl had disappeared. and just to let you know, Extraterrestrials and Unidentified Flying Saucers count as Paranormal

Just my kind of thread Here's my story One day i was playing with a couple of friends, me and one of them were looking at the TV playing videogames(As always) and the third one was sat in a spot where he could see the inside of a room in my house, he suddenly told me "man, you're not gonna believe it but i just saw a shadow pass from the room's couch to the mirror" i was skeptical and did not believed him, a couple of hours later, i finished playing with them and they went home so i went inside my house and passed through that room and like right infront of me i saw the shadow go from the mirror to the couch really fast and i got real scared, i jumped and ran to calm down... Now i found everything to be odd, because as i know ghosts are real, i wonder, could everything else be real?

Some time ago when I was in high school... My friend was acting exrtemely weird. Something was troubling, but every time I brought it up, he just walked away. Now, I don't know what it was that was troubling him. But I remember that one day he moved away. Didn't even tell anyone. No one knew what was up. Not one of the people from our "clique". Let's cut to about a month ago. It was saturday. I was hanging out with friends and catching up on some creating in LBP for an engine in progress. After they left, I was the only one there. Suddenly, I hear this voice. "Dave.", It says. I guess something was getting to my head, but it sounded like my friend. I noticed a strange mark in the drawer next to where I was sitting. Odd. But I went to sleep and it wasn't there anymore, --- Ever since then, this kind of thing has been happening. My friends have also reported this. I don't know what's up.

once i was watching tv and i turned the subtitles on by mistake but instead of the words on the screen it said: why are you here why are you alive come back to eternal sleep then i started to panic and then i heard a low base hum then it said i will see you soon then i screamed ran out my room and after a hour i went back and the tv was off im not lying and another time when i 1st moved in i sat on my bed but then something grasped my throat and i heard a low base hum after ten secs it let go and my room became really cold i know its unbelievable but thats wat happened im scared at the moment i might move

I've had a couple of strange occurrences. This one was very significant to me. I stayed by my dying father's bedside for a couple of nights. I felt compelled to stay with him so he wouldn't be alone. Very late the last night I heard the voices of two women in the kitchen. It didn't seem strange at first since there were a few of us staying at his house while he was sick. I got up to see who was in the kitchen but no one was there. It truly sounded like two women talking at the kitchen table. An hour or so later I heard them talking again, so I got up to see who was in there. Still no one there. This happened all through the night till he finally passed away around 4:30 or 5:00 in the morning. It was actually comforting to me because I imagined it was my grandmother and great-grandmother waiting up for him.

My house is haunted. Sometimes, when all the windows in my house are shut, my door which is completely shut, opens. Happens so many times that I just say 'Meh' everytime it happens. Also, I saw this log that looked like someone falling from a heart attack. They appeared to be wearing skates. A week later, someone who worked at a rollerink died from a heart attack while skating (Ive met him. He was a nice guy. RIP). I was paranoid for like a month after that. Ive had other 'seeing the future' moments, but they were small things. Ocassionally, it gets VERY cold for no reason. A ghost literally attacked me. One day, I walked into my bathroom (with the lights out), and saw this thing without a face wearing a jacket. Vanished right away. Like a couple months after that, my arm was hurting and I noticed an arm gripping it. The arm had the same jacket the thing did. That happened on the same day as something else. My sister and me had been fighting for a while, and after every arguement I went to my room. After a week of doing so, I would go in there happy and suddenly be mad. But anywhere else i would be fine. Creepy.

I just remembered another one ... I like to block this one out of my memory. I'm not proud of this, but I used to use the Ouija board a lot when I was younger. I have always loved ghosts, but I thought of your "Scooby Doo" type ghosts when I thought of ghosts. I didn't think of demons or evil spirits or anything like that. Most of the time, my friends would just push the pointer to spell out dirty things and they would have a good laugh about it. But there was one day that the thing was spelling out really weird things. It predicted some really strange things. First, it predicted that this guy I liked but didn't even know was going to come over my house on August 2nd. My friends happened to run into him at a church bazaar on august 2nd and they ended up bringing him to my house. And these weren't even the friends who were with me when it named that date. It also told me that in late July something bad was going to happen to me. It was going to involve a car and I was going to be "hurt, but not too seriously" ... To be honest, I put the ouija board prediction about the car completely out of my mind. On July 25th, 1993, I was involved in a pretty bad car accident. I was going to my mother's school with her and someone hit us because the jerks weren't paying attention. I wasn't wearing a seatbelt and I hit the windshield. It was terrifying. A few days later (August 2nd) when the boy I liked showed up at my house just like the ouija board predicted, i got extremely freaked out. I guess it could have been a coincidence or whatever, but it was extremely freaky!

Ok, gong to share my story now. I really believe in this stuff, I don't know why, I just.. do.. Anyway, I was about10 or so and I'd just gotten a proper sleeping bag, I wanted to sleep in it so my dad said that I could on my bed (instead of a duvet). So I was really excited. I used to sleep on this bed that looked like a castle but had cupboards underneath (so I slept on top) It was about 5 ft high I'd say. Anyway, that night I was lying in bed when I started to feel a bit hot so I was adjusting my sleeping bag and caught a glimpse of what appeared to be a woman standing by my bed staring at me. (It was late and dark). She looked Indian a bit, but I only got a glimpse so I couldn't see . I dived under the covers and litterally had a panic attack, I was crying and shaking. I finally was brave enough to peek out a bit and I saw she was gone. Still, it was scary. Another story, my sister's room is directly opposi to our bathroom, one night it was dark and I went to go to the loo with the lights off as to not wake anyone. As I was walking to the bathroom, I saw a faint light in my sisters room and looked into her room. I saw a girl staring at me. She was not my sister. I blinked and she vanished. EDIT: OMGOMGOMGOMGGGOGGGGG! I just remembered! My sister had an imaginary friend (can't remember her name). My older sister and I always told her to call her 'friend' her imaginary friend, but she insisted on calling her her 'Ghost Friend' I have no idea if I imagined/dreamed these or not (perhaps I was jsut tired since it was late at night both times.) What I've learned from these experiences is to never go to bed without the landing light on (I know it sounds wimpy but seriously, I was actually literally terrified by the first story) ANOTHER EDIT: I jsut remembered another slightly freaky one. It was about 6PM and dark (since it was winter) I was playing with my Mum's best friend's daughter who was almost 2 at the time. Immediately in the middle of playing she looks out the windw and says "Hello Ghostie!" Bearing in mind she was one and could only say simple things. Brrrrr...

I actually thought of another sorta freaky dream related one. Oddly enough, most of my paranormal/freaky experiences happened when I was in 9th grade, and I have no idea why, but this one is no exception. It was the day before Christmas and I had a really scary dream. It featured me going out into my garage to get something. It was in a very specific place near the window at the front. In my dream I was going to get these small photo albums, you know, the kind that only fit one picture per page. I found them and there were two. A black one and a white one. As I was picking the photo albums up, I turned around and my dead grandfather or someone wearing his flannel shirt came out of one of the tiny closets in the back. I got really scared and woke up. The next day, Christmas even, I had gotten a Nirvana poster that I wanted to hang up. I went out into the garage because I needed some thumbtacks. I looked all over the place, and the thumbtacks ended up being exactly where the photo albums were in my dream. Freaked out thoroughly, i ran back into my house. It would be weird enough if that were the end of the story. However, it is not. Flash forward to Christmas day. My aunt always sent us presents. I got some makeup kit and my dad got cookies. My mom got to her present and opened it. It was the black photo album from the dream. Needless to say, I was even MORE freaked out.
