Iv made up a whole new place with my own original characters and story, and think iv created something pretty original and quirky!

Hope u all enjoy!

Just played. Good solid, fun gameplay with some quirky characters.

Improve:

1. The enemies. Don't use cutouts for them, I'd make some baddy henchmen(maybe in the same style as the evil man or "Jack"?)

2. The boss. Give it a couple more attacks, it got repetitive.

3. When you have to move the jack in the box to the "X" at the start of the level, it's quite annoying because you can't grab it(I'd material change it to dissolve material). Same with the part in the level where you free the radio and have to put it in the cart(maybe material change it to polysterene?)

thanks man!
yes ok ill change them to polystyrene now....
and the enemies sorry i gotta keep em lol i didnt expect anyone to notice it but all the bad guys were actually cargo in the train at the start of the level, they come alive and turn evil when they go in the box.

I just finished playing it as I am typing this, I thought it was very fun. I really liked the atmosphere, the story, and the characters. I thought you did a really good job at creating a quirky level that all flowed very well.

I really enjoyed how each character had a challenge that featured what they were. I also thought the design of each character was very well designed. I thought the use of stickers was very good, and I really enjoyed the way Jack looked.

I would second the end boss fight being repetitive. It felt like it lasted forever because he only did one attack and it took forever for the guys to rise. I would say to either shorten the time it takes for the characters to get "hoisted" up or add some other attacks.

I also wonder why you left your proximity switches visible, I didn't think it was bad but I would like to know the reason behind. I am one of those guys that likes to try and hide everything so I would like to see what the other side has to say.

Overall I gave it five stars and a heart! If you could try out my latest level Joe Snow Mountain and give me some feedback that would be great! (link is in my sig!)

thankyou very much!

yeh ill shorten the time for them to rise up in a bit....

also about the sensors being visible, i agree with u - on all my other levels i make pretty much all my switches invisible, but with this level i wanted to do something different than my other stuff so i left them visible if it looked right. i was also aiming for a media molecule design style.

thanks for your feedback ill play your level now x

i was not expecting that. it was fantastic! i really loved it!

i loved the cardboard theme and the playfulness that it allowed. the characters, particularly jack, were really well made and creatively used. the plot was simple and fun and provided lots of excuses for gameplay.

my only criticism, and i think it's been said before, is give the boss at the end another attack, maybe little enemies drop down every now and again or something.

but that was only a small thing. i really enjoyed this level and it deserves the 5 stars and heart i gave it. well done!

i'd appreciate F4F on my slums level. there's a link in my sig. Thanks!

This is a fantastic level. The cartoony style works really good. Looks and plays great. It's not very difficult, but very entertaining.
Lots of cool stuff: the villain character. The way you strung up the lights. The unexpected path the train takes you.

I found one small glitch, just after dragging the box to the x, and falling down, it's possible to jump down again, and drop out of the playzone. You miss part of the story this way (and that's a shame!)

Awesome level.

It would be great if you could take a look at one of my two levels, and give me some feedback.

This was one of the best levels I have ever played. I loved the music challenge. I really loved Jack and the old creepy guy. Who knew cardboard could look so good? Lighting was great, The characters were fun, and the level as a whole was awesome. I Just thought that the king guy was too slow. I found my self waiting a lot but it didn't really hurt the level. Gave it a heart and 5 stars. Would you mind giving my "Bamboozled" level a play?2010-03-03 12:26:00

It actually was because most people make super serious and boring levels. This level was playful and really fun. It was very different from most levels and that's what made it so great.

Checked it out and I really like it. There are some cool lighting effects and the bad guy character is funny. The only things that sort of disappointed me was all that flat cartboard, even though I know it takes place in a cardboard box it just seemed a little dull compared to what I'm used to seeing from you. The trains were cute but I didn't quite get their purpose in the story. It's a fun level though and I gave it 5 stars 2010-03-06 21:35:00

wooaahhhh now haha i love cardboard one of my fave materials. i wanted to do something completely different to my usual stuff anyway rather than jus using some ubiquitous wood or rock.

the train is meant to be with you thru the whole level, it goes thru the box with u and transforms, and u need the carriages to put your friends in when you rescue them and its the only way for you to escape so its pretty important to the story. plus theyre fun! everyone loves a good train bomb survival lol.......

thanks for the 5 stars always appreciated,
eagle and bear 2 coming asap, although final fantasy is out in a couple of days so may be distracted...........

Well there you go, lol! Just shows how subjective these things can be. I really liked the cardboard look. I thought it fitted the storyline of the characters falling into the box and it gave the level a different, quirky feel. There was just something very "LBP" about it. The visuals overall were very attractive. I loved the colourful town at the start and the trains were great - they had a nice cartoon-like feel to them. The silhouette baddie had a lot of style as well.

I really enjoyed the gameplay. As someone else has said, it was a clever idea to have a different challenge for each of the friends and one that matched who they were. I loved the music and oven ones especially. I think the king, although nicely done, did slow the tempo a little bit, but that is a minor flaw. Brilliant ending with the vertical ascent of the train and justice being meted out by a flying pencil!

Overall a very fun level with a distinctive, quirky style. 5 stars and a heart.

Right i have finally had a chance to play your level! Yay lol
I must say i did enjoy it very much! I laughed a lot, i like the way you used the 3 characters in a funny way
(The teapot, stereo and pencil)
The main sack in the box character was good to! Like the way he was designed.
The train was fun and flowed very well throughout the level, very clever!
The level was plain at times but i know thats the look you was aiming for, cardboard box look.
The level was a good length as well so overall good job and keep up the good work!
