My PSP keeps shutting down?

Archive: 15 posts

This might not be the right place to post this, but here we go. I use the UMD version of LittleBigPlanet. I updated the game to 2.03, and my PSP is version 6.20...

Every time I play LittleBigPlanet, after about 5 minutes in create mode, or after I complete a level, it turns off. It is on full charge, and my PSP works if I'm playing any other game, listening to music, or browsing the web. I have no idea what to do? Or if I should purchase the PSN version.

Hmm..... Have you made sure the UMD disc is ok? No scratches or a little fiddly circle bit missing ?
It happened to one of my old games . I couldn't play for very long without my PSP turning off . Don't try to play it , may damage your PSP . I was gonna say buy a new copy but DON'T!!
Go to your local gaming store and tell them , I'm sure they'll help .

I haven't heard of any of this type of problem with the downloadable version of the game, so the UMD is probably the cause.2010-02-28 20:29:00

Thats not true. Both my psp 2001 (thats the slim) and my PSP Go work just fine with all downloaded content. the issue with ps3's is an internal hardware problem with ps3's pre-slim launch and NOT -I repeat- NOT a PSN issue. I was just playing online with little big planet on my ps3 and had no issues.

Umm hi buddy? This thread is over a year old so there's no need to bump it up. As for your problem though, your level is sadly corrupt. So far there is nothing you can do to get it back and will have to restart from scratch. This is happened to me and many others countless times but there are several things you can do to prevent it. Take a look at my thread in the "Tutorials" section under PSP it's called "Create Mode Tips & Tricks" or something like that. Also, take a look at Taffey's thread about backing up your saves so that you don't lose ALL of your progress if this happens to you. Hope this helps
