Boss not spawning in order.

I'm making a boss for my Don Quijote level that I'm making for Spanish lessons at school and at end you fight a magician.
The problem is that my boss doesn't spawn 3 times.

At first he stands there just firing some stuff, he has magnetic key switches on him and I have other magnetic key switches on the platform where he is standing on. They're both inverted so if he dies the key goes on and spawns a new magician form from the emitter ( Thanks Doopz479 )

But sometimes all the 3 forms spawn at once, does someone has a idea how to fix this?

Why not use 3 copys of the boss with different key-colors?
So first death will spawn 2nd boss and 2nd death spawns 3rd boss.
I don't know how much heat you will loose though...

They all have the same key-colors on it but with every form that you down they lose 1 color so it doesn't spawn again but the problem is in that if you kill the first one all key switches are gone for a moment so the other emitters think they also need to spawn their form and they end up spawning all of them at the same time because they don't spawn at the same place.2010-02-27 23:18:00

So you need a relay between the dissapearing of key1 (the one you destroyed) and the other 2 keys, as i understand.
Maybe you should outsource the key-logic then?

I'm assuming you have keyswitches set to inverted One-Shot so they'll activate and emit upon each form death?

Try adding in a 4-Output Incremental Bolt.

Each time a boss is killed, the inverted keyswitch will One-Shot the Incremental Bolt spinning it to a different Output each time.

The Four outputs could be assigned to:

Boss Form One
Boss Form Two
Boss Form Three
The fourth could trigger the way out.

If you need more of an explanation I could build one and give it to you in create.

Ahh, i see.
Like in "Advanced Pack Logic Vault" - "Notched wheel logic - 4 outputs"
I guess you mean a wheel, but this would be easier bc you don't need the timing.

I created a similar battle room in my LBW2 theme contest. I ended up using a modified version of the dissolve countdown timer. When the counter piston operates is calls the correct boss first, before destroying itself and resetting. I had originally intended to use a randomizer to emit the boss type counters into the "belt feed" so no one could learn a pattern, but I ran out of time. It's still on my wish list of things to implement on that level though.2010-03-01 21:34:00
