Exploration of the Lost Temple pt.2 *The Beginning*LiIvIiT--
You have just been rescued from a cave with no exit. You are now stationed at an old oil mine where archeologists have just dug up an old egyptian pyramid. What ancient treasures await for ou within the temple? ** Recommended 1player Only**

I think that the level was fairly good.

Visually speaking, the overall saturation of colour was an excellent strong point in the level's mood. It really helped at the beginning with the strong red, but remember to be careful with your lighting, colour = mood. Red can be very powerful, and it worked fairly well for my tastes, although some may find it too strong.

The gameplay could use more challenge to it. The beginning with spinning platforms was a nice touch, but after the initial platforming, I did not feel all too challenged by the level. I would suggest adding more platforming throughout, get the player to think more too.

I have given the level 3 stars.

I see promise in it, it just needs more challenging gameplay.

Good use of lighting. I actually found the level a bit tricky I realise I'm getting old, but I had a lot of problems with the sliding blue platform. I thought the pyramid looked good inside, but you need to avoid just having a square strip of metal as your floor. example- the stairs at the beginning.

nice level though - showing you can use lots of different techniques.

Not having played the first level, I don't really know the story of the levels, the importance of that story to the experience, or the overall tone. So what I got from the second is that I'm starting out next to this big pyramid, I find my way in, and I all of a sudden want to get out. It's just not evident what my purpose is. This wouldn't be a big deal if the player needs to be more focused on the difficulty of the level rather than any sort of plot, but this doesn't seem to be the case, as any difficulty quickly drops off right after traversing the "grabbable rock".
Before that point, where the difficulty drops off, the level is quite good, and not badly designed. I just felt that with both the story and the difficulty disappearing halfway through, it wasn't what it could've been.

I gave you three stars.

F4F: If you've got the time, could you play through my level (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=20362-The-Gauntlet%21)?
Just let me know what you think in the level thread. Thanks.
