Hey everybody! Just wondering if there's anyway like me, who is under the age of 18, (Im 15) who creates levels and if you can tell if a level of quality is made by an adult, teenager or even possibly a child. In other words, I just wanted to know if there's anybody in my age group who makes levels because it's be interesting if there is a gap on what a teenager would create, and what a 18 - 40 year old would create. (Is there anyone actually 40 here?).

I'm 15 too. My published levels kinda fail, but my unpublished ones own, in my opinion. You can try my Mage Level, and then the corresponding survival challenge. My 7 or so unfinished levels are probably about 20 times better, but it kinda shows some general quality. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=saYALQwqGvU And that is about 1/2 as good as I can do now. (My tutorial video...) Pair up with me in online create mode, and I can pretty much do anything, because I'm trying to do epic for my partners. The thing I have to improve on, though is inside buildings... This is an interesting thread. Can't wait to see what others say!

You're off by 8 years, kid. HOLY COW!!!1! YOURE LIKE, NEGATIVE HALF YEAR OLD. Anyway, I'm 15, and I can definitely tell if something is made by an adult or a kid. Adults' minds just work on a higher level. My levels are decent, but they are always missing something that adult levels seem to have.

Im 16 and I can tell you some of the young younger folk 1-10 seem to just want to make colorful and random levels or even mechanical stuff that turn up sometimes horrid sometimes ok, but adults have more of a mature level.

I have some American neighbours and they always drink koolaid. I think it's basically a soft drink that's fruity flavoured. I think. Nice idea about the list of wippersnappers. Will do it soon.

I know what you mean, but I think that creative, fun levels like that are mostly better, and much more enjoyable. And I think it is defiently not only under 10s that make colourful levels, or over that make mature ones, I think it is possbly the other way around, under 10s try to make mature, or serious levels, and normally epicly fail because they are not good creators, and over try to make the more creative levels, because they know they are mostly better (and easier) to create. But thats just my opinion :]

P.S. Age isn't linked with talent, Creative and Imaginative minds make better levels, both age groups have there pros and cons

I'm 15 too, I haven't released anuy levels yet, one is coming soon though. The main difference I find between levels made by us and adults is that while we (atleast some of us) focus more on a level's length and show offy stuff and basically a particular field, Adult made levels are more mature and they seemingly focus on all parts of the level.( Heck I am making a level and near the end, I realised that I forgot to put the platforming in it. :'( )

I usually master all the games I play (WipEout HD platinum owner) and I have patience. Meaning no crap levels form me! Just a lot of incompleted ones

Just a lot of incompleted ones I have so much trouble completing a level because I make half of it then I think, wow that's crap what was I thinking. So go and delete it all and start all over again. I think kids can make great levels if they try hard enough but there are some levels which are so unexplainable that my head almost explodes. A while back I thought, ah what the heck and push the dreaded 'Quick Play' button, didn't turn out too good, I got sent to a level that was just full of circles, soccer balls and had wooden boxes everywhere and nothing else. Btw I'm 17 in just under 3 months.
