Like the title says, does anyone know a good video editor, that is free? I've been wanting to record another LBP video, (I haven't posted one in 5-6 months...) but I need a good editor, so I can record in scenes, and mash them together if I want. It would preferably support .VOB files, but if not, definitely .MP4s. I would like it to have as little quality loss as possible, unlike WMM, which makes my videos all 'stripy-looking'. Plus, if possible, I'd rather it be kind of easy to use, in a Sony Vegas way. Not a Windows Movie Maker way. Thanks. The reason I didn't search is because I wanted to make sure it supported one of these formats well, and I didn't wanna revive an old thread to ask... Google didn't really help me though.

I used to use DebugModes's Wax, which was pretty easy to use, & it got the job done! It also had some useful Built-in Effects (Simple ones like Chroma Key, Cropping ect...), which I'm sure you could find a use for. http://www.debugmode.com/wax/ & Click Download

It's so hard to find anything that supports .VOB files! I found one, but after waiting an hour for it to encode to an .MPG, it finally came out at 1 FPS. There was no option to choose the Frame rate either. If anyone finds even a way to encode a .VOB into one of the more popular file types, please tell me. ...I might find another use for that program though... And you're on LBW too, right? Or did you leave?

I tried looking for one, but came up with nothing, You could try a video converting site to convert your vob to avi or something so you can edit it with windows movie maker, but when I tried that, the quality of the videos plummeted and parts of the video never played (it froze on the last frame)

It depends on how serious you are and your internet. But you should go check out Adobe.com and download the free trial version of Premiere, the trial eventually runs out but you can just download it again when you need to.
