I am still shaking with anger and sadness.. I cant almost control my hands anymore. This is not just a weird picture or a flame anymore. When I released my first sack level Some kid added me called "Juhani100" saying he is my biggest fan, I think I showed him my levels some time, and might have helped him. I am not sure as there are many people who added me because of my tutorials etc. Now I kinda ignored the kid as I was busy and so was he. I noticed yesterday that he published a level called "Sack and the world of legend level 6 of 11" And For some reason I thought.. Hmm sounds very familliar.. (Like my "Sack, The legendary" 13 level series). So I went to his published level.. And this level 6 of 11 had a subname.. "Hill of the mangrove", My 4th level had a subname "Mangrove mountain".. so I was a little ticked off by this. So I checked a few of his levels.. and I didnt have to go beyond the first room in each to see he was somewhat copying me visually. his level 6 had a cavestucture almost simmiliar to mine. So I mailed the fellah and asked him whats up. It was something like "Hey kid, about your levels.. Is it just coincidence that your level names are near the same as mine, and that they also have the same looks? are you kidding me?" And he replied: "Ill erase them, okay.. dont worry!" I mailed him: "Dude dont worry, just rename them a bit and be done with it" and then it got worse. My psn inbox is filled with mails like: "I hate you", "Please shut the f up", "Drop dead!", "I wish you where dead". I again mailed him and said that he shouldnt overreact and that renaming was enough. I just wanted to go to bed (its 4 am atm) when I wanted to check my level comments. Some of my levels are totally filled with "I hate you" "Screw you", "Fuuu" and Juhani100's friends are also joining the party, blaiming me for him deleting his levels.. while I never asked him to do such a thing. To make things worse, He now also published a level, focussed on flaming me.. Not just flaming me.. no .. Litterally killing me in the level. I dont mean my sackboy.. no a badly shaped version of me that you as the user have to kill. TheGide GoodGrieved for the first time in his lbp years, Some others also went "wth is this!!" Now ok, I know I can make people angry.. And I know I am not the most loved person.. But this is just insane.. I feel sad for the kid, as I never wanted him to delete his levels.. I just asked him whats up with the naming/visuals etc. But I am also angry as he is spamming me, flaming me.. virtually killing me... So again.. "Juhani100" and his level is "Please play this, its important" i think. *goes to bed a little sad*

If you haven't delete him from your friends list and then block him maybe that should help with the messages(i think) Just ignore the lvls and move on people are smart enough(kinda) to understand that he is copying your lvls. Thats all i got for ya wish you the best

GoodGrief him, since this is actually appropriate, and make sure that Mm/Sony knows - this is probably something best left to them. You might be able to get his account banned, since that is harassment of a very high degree. -shrug- Hope that helps, man.

My advice: completely ignore him, block him and anyone else who PMs you bad things. File a complaint: http://np.us.playstation.com/complaint/pc/ComplaintForm.aspx and get your friends to Good Grief the level til it's gone.

Dang, and I thought I'd had it bad. I had a month or two of constant hatemail filling my PSN inbox on my last account, so much so that out of frustration I took almost a year off creating. Thankfully I've come back alot wiser. I can say from personal experience; Don't let it get you down, you're a well-known and respected creator so you're bound to have a few trolls out there. Just take pleasure in the knowledge that they're most likely girly-voiced, pre-pubescent janks that have to trash strangers from the saftey of their bedrooms, which are most likely littered with Star Wars figurines and sticky-paged Victoria's Secret catalogues.

Yea added him to my blocklist.. it seems he deleted the level and spamcomments on my levels. Probably because I uploaded a pic of me killing myself in his level. (Closest I ever came to suicide lol). I do hope the kid will calm down and use his ripping-off skills to create something original. Thanks for the funny/cool comments guys :hug:

Some people (kids I guess I should say...but it isn't limited to them) just don't know when to say when...or...They get such a thrill at seeing you mad and upset it only fuels their fire. So I agree with the others who have said "Just delete, block and ignore" once you stop giving 'them' the satisfaction of your reaction they will get board and move on. I totally get your upset though...and I don't blame you...but what can you do? In school yards it's bullies on the Internet its spammers and haters Chin up mate. No one can steal your Mojo! We all get them... I had one, last summer. It really puts u off the game eh? The best advice we can give you is just to report them (although that normally makes no difference), block them and then forget about them. Seriously, I doubt the level that ur getting blown up in will get anywhere near the thousands of plays that ur level series is getting.

I've had more than my share of run-ins with trolls on the internet, but this kid went too far. I'd have been ok with plagiarized work - it's flattering actually that someone liked your stuff so much as to try to copy it. But following that up with a crusade against you in the form of an offensive level, and a slew of hate-filled comments on your levels and over PSN is just about enough to be banned from PSN, let alone LBP Online. I truly hope this kid gets what's coming to him. He needs to learn how to act responsibly online and more than that, probably needs some real therapy to stabilize himself. I'd be frightened to be his parents at any rate.

It, sir, has come to a fact that too many people are too...linked...with games, physically, mentally, and emotionally. I, for example, still have an urge to run around in platemail with a broadsword sometimes, simply because I play so many RPGs. It'd be funny, for sure, but also very embarrassing, and most likely put me in a psychiatric ward. Regardless, I'm glad to see his level is down and that he's stopped pestering you, Luos. Goodness knows you of all of us don't deserve it.

I got two more mails from the guy, (adult warning, lots of cursing) First of all, he read this thread and asked me if I was gonna youtube him as well.. (lol) one claiming he is surely older than I am and that should be reason enough to leave him alone (wtf.. he mailed me.. not the other way around) Also threatherning me to tell everybody what big of a dreamkiller I am. (lol) So I went angry and called him a molested emo teen, yadayadayada (hey he claims to be my age, sure.. but that only means I wont hold back on anything.. his loss) I know better because of the way he reacted to my original mail and the way he talked when he joined in my pod/levels. Again another mail, telling me the guy is 28. Now if he was 28 he would just started a conversation with me about the levels and I am sure we would both be pleased with the results... I do remember him saying he was 13 or 14 when he first added me. The mail ended with: s*ck your fathers di** (father passed away, but I can cope with this as I am old enough to know how to cope with such comments.. and frankly.. if he didnt su** his own fathers di** as much he would not have been such an emo about me asking about his levels and instantly deleting them. (and as I made some bad comments against him, I can handle anything he throws at me) Calling me dreamkiller a few more times, and tells me I shouldnt have uploaded a cave tutorial... sigh.. uploading a cave tutorial is one thing... trying to copy caves from my own levels is another thing.. stealing their names only makes it worse. So I blocked him, and reported him AGAIN to PSN. Now.. If he really is 28.. I would convince his family to go abortion on juhani's behind. because nothing good can come from such a person. I know.. you cant abort a living being... but if you try hard enough.. i am sure we will find a way. *Angry*

I mean the kid is probably not too much younger than me, maybe five years younger (if he's 10 or so), and it amazes me how a kid could do this, no matter his/her age. i used to get this from a person who copied my cars exactly and said that they were his, he then after i had said why he had done it started taking the stickers of my cars and putting crap or sh** on them.... i dont know why but eventually just ignored him and now i dont think he goes on LBP anymore

He re-published his levels, Just showing what a major prick the kid is. He did not delete them and was just lying.. *shakes head* Adi even suggested the kid might have been authistic. He did change the level names, but especially his level 6 is so much rip-off from my own levels. Also another person is working on his own series.. "Sackboy the legend" so I kinda went berserk because now two people are trying the same thing. I did appologise to this 2nd person, as he is just using stuff I gave away in my levels/he re-made from tutorials. He did change the series names though. Sure.. I should be honored that people are using my stuff, and want to recreate stuff I made.. But too bad you cant do a decent understandable tutorial on being creative instead of ffin (poorly) copying parts of the level. Getting inspired by others is one thing, just basically stealing idea's from others is another.

A good rule of thumb is to assume that when you make something copyable, someone will just copy it and re-publish it with no changes. Many creators do not want to work for their recognition and copy other people's levels to get popular. It sounds like the person you are dealing with will not listen. There's not much you can really do other than prevent this from happening in the future by not making your levels copyable. They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Edit: Went back and read the first post. This guy didn't copy your levels, he just copied your ideas? Well, that's not very nice but the whole part about creating a level focused on flaming you is unacceptable. I would block this person on PSN.

I found it interesting that the option for making a level copyable reads: Anyone can copy their level to their moon, edit it, and publish at is their own. Such lies!
