For a long time I have thought about making a level based on the movie "Cube". I made a decent looking cube room but couldn't think of a decent way of making a complete level with it. http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=13184 Instead I have decided to make a level based on many different films. In the level Sackboy will fall asleep in front of the TV and will start dreaming about different movies/TV shows and will move from one set piece to another. So far I've come up with a few ideas for some of the scenes but I thought I'd see if everyone had any ideas. Ideally they would be quite well known movie scenes. I look forward to reading some ideas. Thanks.

E.T. - the bicycle flying in front of the moon scene King Kong on the Empire State A rising fin for Jaws I'm having a tough time thinking of anything relatively contemporary that could be classed as iconic. The house & ballons from UP??

Go play MrsSpookyBuz's Hyper Cube levels. They have fantastic gameplay. Not quite so deadly as the movies, but should inspire you nonetheless. I would be very keen on seeing that type of gameplay matched with the visuals you've teased us with. I would suggest inventing a cryptic system of symbols to guide you through your exits... if you need ideas, I've got em. I wanted to embrace my Canuck roots and do a cube level at one point, but not going to happen now.

Thanks for all of the replies. I think that I'll complete a "Cube" level one day but I've gotten a bit frustrated with it recently so I thought I'd work on something else for a while. I'm liking the E.T. Idea. I'll have to think of a way to incorporate it. Thanks again.

You could have fun, since it's an LBP dream of various movies, of giving a scene from the movie and then making it funny or switching it up somehow (similar to what they do in the Lego Star Wars/Indiana Jones games). -2001: A Space Odyssey - finding the monolith on the moon. -Dr Strangelove - Slim Pickins rides the bomb -Ghostbusters - fighting slimer or the marshmallow man -Avatar - the nest of banshees scene -Jaws - we're going to need a bigger boat - The Birds - the playground with the legion of birds - Agree with the earlier-mentioned scene of E.T., that'd make a good one - Star Wars - pick a scene, any scene! - Casablanca - travel through the city and to the airport runway for the farewell scene - Jurassic Park - the T-Rex in the storm - Raiders of the Lost Ark - the rolling boulder (okay seriously, no more Steven Spielberg) - Goldfinger - Goldfinger rigs up a laser to slice through James Bond's double-O agents - Also going to agree with the King Kong idea

Hmmm... There's lot to choose, but what is known enough for such a level... My suggestions: Maybe Alien vs. Predator with the temple that always moves and changes? The Dark Knight? Wall-E? Transformers?
