Technical Problems

Archive: 8 posts

In the past 2 weeks I have been having several problems. At first I thought there was something wrong with my PSP but someone made a level that talked about corrupt data. Usually the main problem is that my PSP shuts off automatically. Sometimes it happens while I am playing a level or when I'm about to rate it. This has been getting me frustrated since I haven't been able to work on my levels. I was also wondering if it is because I have the UMD version of LBP. If anyone has had similar situations or knows a way to solve this problem please reply. Thanks for your cooperation!2010-02-24 22:14:00

Hmm, sounds like you're having more crashing problems than normal. The only thing I can think of is that the UMD isn't reading data properly, such as if it's dirty.

Aside from that I'd suggest running a backup of your LBP data, then deleting and reinstalling the game.

Would my levels or the levels I'm currently working on be deleted?2010-02-28 00:52:00

Yes, everything you currently have will be deleted if you reinstall the game. As long as you make a backup first though and copy the data back onto your PSP after reinstalling the game, you won't lose anything.2010-02-28 01:43:00

No problem! That's what a message board is for after all.

I actually made a thread about it - click here (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=19461-The-corrupt-profile-thread-%28Back-up-your-data-NOW!%29). Let me know (here or there) if you have any questions and I'll be happy to help you out.

I've been having exactly the same problem, and I have the UMD version, so I'll try that as well.2010-02-28 15:52:00
