Hiya Right im probably going to sound like a right idiot lol but i have just signed up to LittleBig Workshop and have now decided i dont want to... How to i delete my account? The second i went on there i wanted to get off as i didnt know what i was doing! Can someone help please? | 2010-02-24 12:01:00 Author: Fenderjt Posts: 1969 |
Hahahahahahaha, everyone loves the workshop Do you need to delete your account? You could just never go back there I think it's linked to your psn anyways so you possibly can't delete an account. | 2010-02-24 12:09:00 Author: rtm223 Posts: 6497 |
LOL i didnt like it thats why i didnt get involved it i! Oh no, i dont want it linked to my psn and i dont want a profile on there. BAAH So theres no way of getting rid of it? lol what if people search me and think im on there!? | 2010-02-24 12:19:00 Author: Fenderjt Posts: 1969 |
I honestly wouldn't worry too much about it. If you stop going there, people who potentially find you should hopefully notice that you are inactive. Lol at the whole situation though... Oh, the workshop... | 2010-02-24 12:39:00 Author: comphermc Posts: 5338 |
LOL so no one actually knows how to cancel my account!? And why do they connect to your actaul psn, why not just do it like this site does. Im sure it doesnt make a difference!? | 2010-02-24 12:44:00 Author: Fenderjt Posts: 1969 |
Good question Fender. I registered on there many months ago and have never used it because it was just rubbish. So confusing. I don't know what's happening with it now but I thought I heard a rumour it had been scrapped. Maybe just wishful thinking on my part. If it was we wouldn't have to worry about deleting our account so that would be good. | 2010-02-24 12:47:00 Author: mistervista Posts: 2210 |
And why do they connect to your actaul psn, why not just do it like this site does. Im sure it doesnt make a difference!? Because it's the official LBP forum, like the official playstation forums. It kinda saves the effort of having to do a full registration / verification of email etc. I suppose. And possibly sony can keep better tabs on us all if they choose to. This site is 100% unofficial and so has to keep the separate username information. @mrV: I hear you about the interface, it's so awful it defies belief, but I very much doubt it's getting scrapped, there are enough active members who are happy there to warrant keeping it open. | 2010-02-24 12:55:00 Author: rtm223 Posts: 6497 |
well i think it was confusing and i didnt want to get involved in it. Silly me for thinking about signing up in the first place. Thank you guys for your help, much appreciated. Guess il just have to push it to the back of my mind that i have an account there haha | 2010-02-24 13:09:00 Author: Fenderjt Posts: 1969 |
Fender, I wouldn't worry about it honestly. I stopped being active there well over a year ago and I haven't so much as gotten a peep in my inbox or anything. Unless you post there, it's like you don't exist. This is largely the way of forum sites, anyways. | 2010-02-24 13:50:00 Author: Thegide Posts: 1465 |

I came and STARTED from the workshop, don't make a huge issue outta it, It doesn't mark you skills as a creator. | 2010-02-24 17:31:00 Author: Pattington_Bear Posts: 777 |
It does indicate your skills as a civilised and sociable human being though | 2010-02-24 17:36:00 Author: rtm223 Posts: 6497 |
I'm socialable and civilised. lol | 2010-02-24 17:59:00 Author: Pattington_Bear Posts: 777 |

I'm socialable and civilised. lol And you moved here. Case closed Ahhhh, I'm just messing with ya! I have no issue with the workshop and find all this inter-site rivalry amusing. | 2010-02-24 18:32:00 Author: rtm223 Posts: 6497 |
Good question Fender. I registered on there many months ago and have never used it because it was just rubbish. So confusing. True. When I got LBP I lurked on several forums, mainly LBW and here. I decided LBPC was the place to sign up for because of the rubbish interface there and the interesting tech talk here. | 2010-02-24 20:18:00 Author: Rogar Posts: 2284 |
However, if i'd like to be cleared in the database - you'd do?! Not that i'd ask for it now. | 2010-02-24 23:32:00 Author: aphexZero Posts: 37 |
Well personaly i prefer LBPC compared to LBW....even though i only was on LBW for 3mins!! Everybody has there own interests though and some might prefer using LBW. P.s Pattington can i have a bite of your sandwich??? | 2010-02-25 09:15:00 Author: Fenderjt Posts: 1969 |
I don't understand what people have against lbw. I guess there does tend to be more newbies there but, for the most part, it's a decent forum and there's always somebody else who's willing to take the newb questions (so I don't have to). Personally, I still lean more toward lbw, but maybe that's 'cuz I've been there for two years and I've only been here for two months. | 2010-02-25 09:28:00 Author: Sehven Posts: 2188 |
Well, one major issue for me is that on LBW you don't get to see part of the first message when you hover over a thread. That saves me so much time over here. | 2010-02-25 11:29:00 Author: Rogar Posts: 2284 |

Well, one major issue for me is that on LBW you don't get to see part of the first message when you hover over a thread. That saves me so much time over here. There are a whole bunch of "little things" like that about the site software, that let the workshop down IMO. The (lack of) organisation, the fact that the site staff don't seem to be a part of the community and the fact that you can't even select your own avatar makes the place feel very sterile to me. The difference in community is massive IMO, and this site is a buzz of activity all the time inside and outside of the littlebigplanet forums. Hell, we have a large number of very active members who don't even play the game and I think that says everything about the community here. And if you really, really, want to see the difference between LBW and here, just go to the respective showcase / promotion areas and look at the quantity / quality of feedback and constructive critisism it's possible to get. I don't have anything against the workshop and I certainly haven't bought into the "brand loyalty" that a lot of people seem to have, but that place doesn't have the warm, fuzzy community that this site does and it certainly doesnt have the same quality of creator resources. | 2010-02-25 12:54:00 Author: rtm223 Posts: 6497 |

Personally, I still lean more toward lbw, but maybe that's 'cuz I've been there for two years and I've only been here for two months. I don't have anything against LBW and don't really understand any so called rivalry. I just consider it a personal choice is all. In fact there are folks over there I have met on the Beta forums I quite like. I just find the forum a bit unorganized and the interface is a somewhat clunky. I will say when I was there it seemed there was a large ratio of overeactive people. Though that was about a year ago and maybe that has changed.. I dunno. I just found LBPC quite a bit friendlier, info that was much easier to find, well organized, and quite a few folks more than willing to help as well as meeting quite a few awesome creators to boot. As rtm said, I just found it warm and fuzzy here and rarely have gone back. | 2010-02-25 13:27:00 Author: jwwphotos Posts: 11383 |
awwww its like we're one big lbpc family! lol I definatley would say it is easy to find help here! Ive certainly enjoyed reading your responses on this thread | 2010-02-25 13:56:00 Author: Fenderjt Posts: 1969 |
I post at the workshop. Whatcha gonna do about that, huh? Ok i was just being a funny guy, I don't see anything wrong with LBW as I have never gone to the site but since I am an LBPC'er I think I had a right to have some territorial outlash because LBPC is where I am. | 2010-02-25 18:56:00 Author: damaz10 Posts: 771 |
ok, im sorry if this has already been said, but jut to clarify the account on the workshop is your psn account details also: "It does indicate your skills as a civilised and sociable human being though " im from the workshop, been there a year | 2010-02-25 19:03:00 Author: samalot Posts: 591 |
