Hahahahahahaha, everyone loves the workshop

Do you need to delete your account? You could just never go back there I think it's linked to your psn anyways so you possibly can't delete an account.

I honestly wouldn't worry too much about it. If you stop going there, people who potentially find you should hopefully notice that you are inactive.

Lol at the whole situation though... Oh, the workshop...

Good question Fender. I registered on there many months ago and have never used it because it was just rubbish. So confusing.

I don't know what's happening with it now but I thought I heard a rumour it had been scrapped. Maybe just wishful thinking on my part. If it was we wouldn't have to worry about deleting our account so that would be good.

Because it's the official LBP forum, like the official playstation forums. It kinda saves the effort of having to do a full registration / verification of email etc. I suppose. And possibly sony can keep better tabs on us all if they choose to. This site is 100% unofficial and so has to keep the separate username information.

@mrV: I hear you about the interface, it's so awful it defies belief, but I very much doubt it's getting scrapped, there are enough active members who are happy there to warrant keeping it open.

Fender, I wouldn't worry about it honestly.

I stopped being active there well over a year ago and I haven't so much as gotten a peep in my inbox or anything. Unless you post there, it's like you don't exist. This is largely the way of forum sites, anyways.

True. When I got LBP I lurked on several forums, mainly LBW and here. I decided LBPC was the place to sign up for because of the rubbish interface there and the interesting tech talk here.

I don't understand what people have against lbw. I guess there does tend to be more newbies there but, for the most part, it's a decent forum and there's always somebody else who's willing to take the newb questions (so I don't have to).

Personally, I still lean more toward lbw, but maybe that's 'cuz I've been there for two years and I've only been here for two months.

Well, one major issue for me is that on LBW you don't get to see part of the first message when you hover over a thread. That saves me so much time over here. 2010-02-25 11:29:00

There are a whole bunch of "little things" like that about the site software, that let the workshop down IMO. The (lack of) organisation, the fact that the site staff don't seem to be a part of the community and the fact that you can't even select your own avatar makes the place feel very sterile to me. The difference in community is massive IMO, and this site is a buzz of activity all the time inside and outside of the littlebigplanet forums. Hell, we have a large number of very active members who don't even play the game and I think that says everything about the community here.

And if you really, really, want to see the difference between LBW and here, just go to the respective showcase / promotion areas and look at the quantity / quality of feedback and constructive critisism it's possible to get.

I don't have anything against the workshop and I certainly haven't bought into the "brand loyalty" that a lot of people seem to have, but that place doesn't have the warm, fuzzy community that this site does and it certainly doesnt have the same quality of creator resources.

I don't have anything against LBW and don't really understand any so called rivalry. I just consider it a personal choice is all. In fact there are folks over there I have met on the Beta forums I quite like. I just find the forum a bit unorganized and the interface is a somewhat clunky. I will say when I was there it seemed there was a large ratio of overeactive people. Though that was about a year ago and maybe that has changed.. I dunno.

I just found LBPC quite a bit friendlier, info that was much easier to find, well organized, and quite a few folks more than willing to help as well as meeting quite a few awesome creators to boot. As rtm said, I just found it warm and fuzzy here and rarely have gone back.

Ok i was just being a funny guy, I don't see anything wrong with LBW as I have never gone to the site but since I am an LBPC'er I think I had a right to have some territorial outlash because LBPC is where I am.
