LBPC Mafia Round II- It's Over, MAFIA WINS!

Well, TheJollyRojah couldn't continue LBPC Mafia... so I'm making it... again... I couldn't think of a good new story, so it's staying Mafia style... yeah. NJow for my mostly copy/pasted thing... lol.


To play, you need to sign up. To sign up, just comment here saying you want to play. After I get a decent amount of players, I will PM every one of you your special roles. You are NOT allowed to tell anyone your role . It's a secret between you and me. After I assign everyone their roles, I will then announce the start of the game.

There are two factions; the Mafia and Civilians. The game proceeds in turns.

Each night, while the civilians sleep, the dreaded mafia privately decides on which civilian to assassinate. They will do this through PM's. When they decide, they will PM me.

Each day, the terrified mob of civilians accuse people of being in the mafia and execute someone. Everyone- including the mafia, will have to vote on who to execute each day. The person with the most votes, dies. Civilians may NOT PM each other or anyone in the game. All discussion about the game should remain in this thread only.

If the civilians manage to kill off all of the mafia members, they win the game. But, if the mafia outnumbers the civilians, they lose and the mafia wins.

The game is largely about denouncing people as mafia members, and eloquently proclaiming your innocence. There's no real way to know who's in the mafia and who isn't. "Look at those shifty eyes! She's obviously in the mafia!" and "I've never trusted that guy," are both perfectly valid reasons to accuse someone. The sheer injustice of it all is part of the fun.

ROLES
Mafia Faction
Mafioso- Is a member of the mafia. Every night, all the members of the Mafia will come together and PM each other to decide which Civilian to kill.

Civilian Faction
Sheriff- Has the ability to detect the role of any player. Every night, the Sheriff will PM me about a particular player's role and I will tell them. However, since no one can reveal their roles, the Sheriff will have to convince everyone else of what they know through trust.
Cop- Same as the Sheriff, but instead of knowing particular roles, they will only have the ability to know whether a player is a mafioso or a civilian.
Serial Killer- A very powerful role. The Serial Killer may kill anyone during the night, but can only do this twice in the whole game. But, he/she can't kill two people in one night.
Doctor- Can protect one player from any night attacks. They will PM me each night of the player of their choice.
Extra Roles- There are some roles I will not put on this list. You'll have to find out during game play .
Civilians- All remaining players will be regular civilians with no additional abilities. They will vote each day, but that's about it.

I want at least 20 or so players. 1/4 of them will be the mafia, and the rest will be civilians.

TURNS
The game is supposed to start at night, but I want all platers to at least have one chance to play, so we'll start during the day. (Keep in mind, Day and Night have nothing to do with day and night in real life. It's just the name of a turn.) During the day, all players will vote on who to kill; even the mafia members. After all the votes come in, I will provide a short narrative of the death I DO NOT suck at story telling "kz), and then night starts.

During the night, no one is permitted to post about anything game-related. All game-related discussion should take place during the day. After I receive all of the PM's from the Mafia and the special civilian roles, I will provide another short narrative of what took place at night, and then the day starts once again. As I said earlier, this keeps going until all of the Mafia are dead, or when the Mafia outnumber the Civilians.

Reminders- Please do not reveal your role to anyone else, or discuss the game anywhere else. I want to avoid cheating. The Mafia may PM other Mafia members whenever they wish, but Civilians cannot. Also, remember: No game-related posts during a night time turn.

How about this role:

Town Cryer: Asks the host who's been voted at least once during night (Mafia's turn). 1 time for each round only. The Civilians will have to trust the Cryer and find a way to protect said person. The host can only tell the Cryer someone by random, not by how many votes a victim gets.

LBPC Daily- Day 2

Trip Tripped
While running from a rampaging horde of insane people out to kill him, trip090, better known as the talkative barber everyone loved, tripped over a sheet of ice on the LBPC Golden Bridge, hurling him over it to his icy death below. The angry mob left dejected that they didn't get to kill anyone today.

trip090, 27, was a civilian, and an intense investigation of his house revealed nothing. As such, he was innocent, and all those who killed him should be ashamed. However, we need to print newspapers, and- Jimmy, why are you printing this?!

Doctor rushes to save life, for nothing
A doctor was seen standing outside the house of Pantyer2, shivering. When spoken to under the condition of anonymity, the doctor said that he had a feeling he needed to run to some guys house to save him, so he just choose this guy at random. He then proceeded to return to his car.

Serial Killer Strikes!
While investigating a report of screaming and howling in pain at the house of Doopz479, authorities found Doopz's body devoid of any internal organs. Scattered around were pieces of guts, and a fork and knife. Authorities found this note:

Try him with Steak Sauce- really brings out the Zang. Sorry I didn't leave much for you guys, but he was so tasty!

Authorities were at first aghast, but on closer inspection of Doopz's house, they found out he was not just a Mafiaso, but the Don of the Mafia. Upon realizing this brutal mess was that of a mobster, they proceeded to try the Serial Killer's suggestion.

Mafia is bribed out of killing!
TheJollyRojah, CEO of Rajah Records, reports that Mafia members attacked him during the night, only leaving him be after he offered them 3 million dollars. He reports, however, that he doesn't suspect the Mafia would leave him alone a second time, and pleads with everyone to know his role was that of an Executive, hence he is a civilian, so do not kill him. Of course, he may be lying... but the LBPC Daily says it, and we never lie... OK?!

Ragfell demoted
Ragfell, who was apparently a cop or something, has been demoted. In keeping with the general attitude of LBPC, sources report he was eaten alive with a bit of Steak Sauce by the Sheriff.

Snrm hit by car
Snrm has been hit by some car. Sources report he could have been saved, but the idiot doctor was standing outside Pantyer's house, and snrm died in the street. When bullied into forcing an answer, RockSauron revealed he was a regular civilian.

You know... if I were to place my vote on anyone it'd have to be CyberSora.

I mean, almost everytime someone tries to defend him or herself, he's always the first to make accusations and label them as a "mafiaso". With his whole B.U.N.S. setup, it's almost like a safehouse if anyone dares to argue against him. And almost everytime he's made accusations against someone (besides himself), they were put to death. It's as though he wants to draw attention away from himself... and focus on eveyone else so he won't have to worry about defending himself. Besides, everyone here has different roles now, so it's still a possibility that anyone (even I) can be a mafiaso. But with Cyber playing the "innocent victim" all the time, I'm starting to get abit suspicious.

To be honest, some of Pantyer's reactions towards me make me feel that there is a chance that he isn't a mafioso. But, with the way he joked around with Doopz in the beginning, I can't help but feel suspicious. I have nothing against you Pantyer, I just want to weed out the mafia.

LBPC Daily- Day 3

Mafiaso Pantyer Brought to Justice!
In a rare case of ironic justice, it turns out the person the angry mob killed last night was, in fact, a mafiaso, a fact brought to life when eleven million prize bubbles and 100 illegal paintinators were found in the home of Pantyer. People remained disappointed they killed a guilty man.

KernelM found disemboweled
Hungry savages were pleased to find the body of KernelM, who has worked for several years at the Mount Peanut mines, sliced open on the floor of his home with a note by the deranged serial killer who killed Doopz earlier.

Personally, I think they taste better with Soy Sauce, but that's just me

The opinions of the diners varied on whether Soy or Steak sauce was better.

However, no incriminating evidence was found to suspect KernelM of mafia ties.

People were also glad to know the Serial Killer's quota was reached, which means the serial killer will kill no more of them.

Awesomemans gunned down by the mob
Zoo keeper Awesomemans, known for his affection for otters and desire to eradicate all mankind, has been slaughtered by the mafia in a drive by shooting. People were saddened the otters got to Awesomemans before they could.

To be honest, some of Pantyer's reactions towards me make me feel that there is a chance that he isn't a mafioso. But, with the way he joked around with Doopz in the beginning, I can't help but feel suspicious. I have nothing against you Pantyer, I just want to weed out the mafia.

Also, Cyber does seem to be a bit suspicious... heck, YOU ALL DO... But if Cyber is in fact a mafioso, then my whole theory about Pantyer is pretty much false since Cyber is agreeing with me. Unless... he's voting for Pantyer and sacrificing him in order to trick us into thinking that he has no relations with the mafia. But, I think that idea is a little far-fetched.

Here's why I'm going to go with Samalot as well---

BurnVictim42 voted for Pantyer2 originally, but then swapped his vote. That makes him less likely (although still possible) that he is a mafioso.

Outlaw-Jack didn't vote for Pantyer2, but he voted for Cyber. He was the only one to vote for Cyber, which indirectly tells me that he isn't working with someone else. (But, it's still possible that he's a mafioso)

Samalot, on the other hand, voted for KernelM along with Pantyer2. Could they have been working together? Maybe. So, as it stands now, Samalot is the most likely candidate.

Hmm... Rajah does seem to have evidence of this accusation. But why would Burnvictim be less likely a Mafioso if he voted for Pantyer and swapped. Doesn't that make Burnvictim a more eligeable candidate? Once you think about it, Burnvictim could have easily swapped because he wanted to go after a Civilian and not a Mafioso. According to the game rules, there is a sherrif and a serial killer on the loose, so there are at least 2 civilians (i'm not counting the doctor, as it seems they're dead and couldn't try and save anyone last night). There are also at least two mafiosos (as pantyer said "...why would THEY want to kill a zookeeper?..." (see previous page for full quote)). These are my suspicions about some peoples roles, and my explanations for why they are these roles- however I wouldn't be surprised if i was wrong lol.

cybersora- (semi-innocent) serial killer. Like Outlaw said, it seemed a bit suspicious how he was deflecting posts, but if i'm right, he is no threat now
OutlawJack- (innocent) sherriff. Referring again to cybersora, Jack seemed to indicate that he seemed a threat. Had he queried cybers role perhaps?
rseah- (innocent) drunk civilian (he made a rather garbled post earlier on)
Burnvictim42- (innocet) civillian (but honestly, thats what everyones going to say, so you'll have to take my word for it ;p)

Jazve- Not a clue... hasn't posted much, leaning towards mafia due to the fact that he typically bandwagons to kill someone.

TheJollyRajah- i'm still not sure where to place you. Mafiosos CAN have additional roles, an early newspaper print could have been just the thing to deflect suspicion for the rest of the game.

Based upon said deduction (if you can call it that), i also vote for Samalot, let the chips fall where they may.

Yes i did vote for Pantyer originally, but as i said in my edited post I had second thoughts about his innocence later. I would have voted for cyber (as i thought he was the serial killer) but that would have been a vote wasted. As a result i decided to even the score a little, as Kernel seemed a tad suspicious as well. Apparently i was quite wrong about that.

A Surgery that just so happens to have been caused by a pack of rampaging animals more beast then man, but meh, LBPC Daily doesn't care. Dr. Samalot wil be buried quickly by LBPC Hospital in LBPC Graveyard, before he is consumed by LBPC members.
