Fruits - A Race between continentsghik16
http://img138.imageshack.us/i/europeq.jpg/Step into the world of fruits. All kinds of different fruits await you, when you step inside 4 different continents. What are you waiting for. This is the world for you.
This is the world fruits. The world of your dreams.

I sat one day and thought: "What does the LBP community need? What does it miss?" And then I came to the idea of making this fantastic fruit race. The Idea became reality and I started making a lots of fruits, and I used dixtionaries and searched for fruits and learned a lot about how and where they are raised. After a lot of time in my fruit laboritorium, I started building the real level. Now it's done and ready to be played by everybody in the LBP community.

This is Feedback 4 feedback, so I'm willing to look at some of your levels.

Nice. Thanks. Should I play your level in return and come with feedback?

It's a big step up from my last two levels. It would be very nice, if you will try it.

Interesting idea, but kind of sloppily executed. The gameplay was fun, but the level itself was not easy on the eyes. I'm a stickler when it comes to visuals(if you play my levels you can probably tell) so I would suggest a little more on the decorating department.

Not bad, so 3 stars and a fun tag...Thanks!

Great with critique, because then I know what to work with. I wanted people to focus on the fruits, because I made them. Everybody else just uses the fruit, which is allready in the game, and that just seems kind of sad. But I know I could be working more on the visuals. This is my third level, and I'm still in the learning stage. I played you're water temple, and I see what you mean. It's splendid, and I'm also going to play the other levels.

Sorry to take so long with the feedback, it was a great level especially with the fruits! Only thing that seemed odd to me was the animal stickers before each race. I didn't quite "get" them. 4 stars, maybe hearted, don't remember the tag.

I'm not sure if you're doing F4f, but if you are can you please play my level (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=23078-Broken-Dreams-Part-2-Advanced-Training)? (And if you aren't, i suggest you do: you'll get a lot more publicity!)

A very healthy level! Funny idea. The fruit is very nicely designed.

Perhaps you could add some more decorations, or play around with the materials, to improve the look of your level?

The challenges are rather easy, so I think this level will be the most fun when racing against other players. (I'll try it on multiplayer soon.)

All in all: very fun level.

It would be great if you could take a look at one of my two levels, and give me some feedback.

Thread of my first level, Lady Masquette and the puzzle garden, is here:

Thread of my second level, Desperados of Tupelo Town, is here:

Yes, I'm doing f4f, and I'm about to play your level. It's accually been on my list for some time, but I forgot it. I'll try it tonight.

And the with the Animal sticker was just random. My intention was trying to make it a bit funny, with these completely random things to happen.

Thanks for feedback. I've written your levels on my list, and I'll play them later.

The thing with decorations. I've added some at different places in the level to make it look better, and I republish it tonight, when lots of people are online.

Here begins haredriel's "f4f friday!

Okay, starting with a creator I'm already familiar about, this level differs very much from the "Doom of Dragons".
Bascally, it's a race with no plot or anything, that is centered on a very odd thing: fruits. but everybody knows that already...

I like it how you made a different theme than anybody yet(atleast from the levels I've played) but the oddness is a two-edged bladed and also brings the question "What is this supposed to be? It's so... weird!".

The fruits are pretty well done and good job on doing them all by yourself. The platforming is solid and not too hard, but the difficulty is right for those who want to race for the big score. Just as a race should always be. Some of the motor bolts vere visible thorought the level and the rotating watermelons weren't centered correctly. You should try to get the motor bolt in the exact center.

The best thing I like to see in a level is creator development. You show it here very much. Especially on visual side. It always leaves you wondering: What will he come up with the next time?
It's only your third level, and I think you could have what it takes to become a really great creator!

Okay, there's only one thing left with the first F done . I would like some feedback on my level : "Red Eagle 2: B2 Bermuda". It's propably easiest to find under the "my creations" link.

Hiya, this is a nice simple race level. The fruits were fun and the theme came together well. My biggest suggestion is about the visuals. I would take out the background and use the 'blank backgrond' (or a preset one) then use the global lighting tool (free on PSN) to adjust the fog colour between races to give it different colours. This will give your level more depth and also allow you to use the back thin layers to make your decorations stand out.

To haredriel: Thanks for a so long and describing post. Now I know what to work with. The thing with the Watermelons was that, when I centered the bolts they disapeared everytime I edited something in the level. I don't know why. That's why they were not centered.

I've allready played your levels, but I've never finished them. I'll try again.

I will consider that for my next level. I just thought I should try and make a Background for this level. And I have used the global lighting tool for every part. Maybe you didn't see it. I just didn't think I could make a background with the tool.

Heya, I played through this the other day, and i must say that i lked it quite a bit. it was just a FUN level, with lots of colors and it was pretty whimsical. I would have to agree with TheAdipose though. the background makes things kinda... flat. it could use some more depth.

However. you get makro points for taking the time to do stuff yourself, without relying on pre-made object and stickers. kudos to you man, i always like to see someone who takes the time to do something right. My wife thought the level was cute but frustrating, (but shes not the best LBP player in the world, so don't take that to heart) she likes cute and brightly colored levels, so yours hit her sweet spot.

All in all, a great level, and i hope to see your next levels!

Yes, the part with the spinning Melons can be frustrating if you're not used to LBP. I will use your advice for my next levels.2010-02-28 16:14:00
