http://lbpspark151.webs.com/DSCF3086.JPGI died in a car accident, but should I be dead?
I made a new level.

You find out you were in a car accident and realize your dead, but you soon find your casket which leads you to saving your life. The only thing is, Can you make it through the level without your casket?

Kind of a simple level, but VERY GREAT corner editing stuff.

I enjoyed my level so much, I think I love it.
Anyways, many of you great creators will enjoy this level too.

I mean ENJOY!

Really, Check it out when you have the time.
Search up "Spark151" or "R.I.P. Sack"

Those of you who played LittleBigPlanet PS3, I'm sure you will enjoy this level.
In fact, in one scene you will be proud it was mentioned in it.

Anyways, I hope you enjoy the level.

Oh! By the way, one last thing. I'm not sure how this Feedback 4 Feedback works out, but if you help me out, we can work this out easily then.

Really great level so far! I'll post more feedback in a bit, but I just wanted to give you a quick heads up that you can easily break the level by letting the coffin move too far to the right on the elevator puzzle. I think you need a little block or something down below just to the right of the elevator platform to prevent this.2010-02-23 06:15:00

Hidy Ho Spark! I just gave the level a try, so here I am to give some feedback. I actually didn't try to break the level when I played it (I usually do try to break levels if I can), so I won't have any feedback on that, but I did have a smooth play through.

I really enjoyed the story of the level, it's very unique. The idea of taking the coffin throughout the level with you was a fun idea that I haven't seen on LBP PSP yet (but I may have just missed it since I haven't played that many levels outside of LBPC, and I haven't even been able to play all the LBPC levels), great work on that The Uncle Jalepino reference was great as well!

There isn't much more to say. It was a nice simple straight-forward level that ran smoothly for me.

Great work Spark! (now, where is my full blown Metroid level )

Ok! Finished playing this a few times and really dig it. (Ha! A funny! Sorry. :blush

This is a very nice little tribute to the PS3 Wedding levels with a bit of your own story thrown in for good measure. Or maybe it's your story done in a tribute type style. Either way, it works for me and I think it's excellent. The gameplay is very similar to Scenic of the Leaves in that the level is just a little on the short side (in a good way) and the platforming is straightforward and simple. I love the walking on the clouds section and thought the effect was excellent. I did what I'm sure everybody will do - take a running leap and "land" on the first cloud, only to stand there a moment and wonder what to do next. I did a leap of faith kind of jump and voila! I can walk on clouds! Very cool "aha" kind of moment there and well put together. I like the moving clouds with arrows on them to guide the player. Very well done in an appropriately cartoony way. And then there's the skeleton. Oh. My. GOSH. Holy buckets of eye candy Batman! The corner editing is superb for all the bone-related bits in this level, and the skeleton is definitely the best by far. I love the broken up right side and the way the arm moves, but I was most impressed with the palm-facing-up hand. That's one of those little things people take for granted that was probably fairly difficult to make. You did a very convincing job of it indeed - I'm really impressed! The speech bubble is funny and well-written too. Going on through the level, I like your coffin-related puzzles and platforming. Simple but fun to figure out and it goes nicely with the theme of the level. The dual endings are great and definitely add replay value.

Not lots of complaints today, but I do have a couple small ones. The first I already posted about - you can mess up the first elevator by not having the coffin in the right place. The elevator platform actually becomes jammed and embedded into the coffin itself, making it impossible to move. I guess this isn't really level breaking now that I think about it, but it's an obvious way to mess up the level in a way I'm sure you didn't intend. I honestly didn't love the explosives at first, but after I saw the Uncle Jalape?o reference it all made sense. I really wish that LBP PSP handled explosions in the "rapid fire" way that LBP PS3 does. Instead, the whole stack of explosives just kinds of all goes with one boom and that's it. It's not bad really, and not a flaw in your level either - just me ranting in general. There's a few other small goofs I noticed: The first one is a visible sound object on death's head as you go up the second elevator. The bones at the top of the elevator also hide the switch, making it a little weird if you need to move the switch the other way, but it's fine as it is. Earlier on in the level, the ghost in the first puzzle room seems to be hitting the ceiling a little bit and kind of bounces around funny. Increasing the minimum value on the winch by 2 or 3 clicks will probably fix this. The last thing I noticed is that one of the "skull launchers" has a crooked jaw. It's one of the ones you use to get up to the section with the note from Jalape?o. It works fine but looks a little funny. Oh, and there should be another period at the end of R.I.P. So, your level title should be "R.I.P. Sack" instead of "R.I.P Sack".

Another great and fun mini adventure with some awesome visuals. 5 stars and a heart easily!

Oh! By the way, one last thing. I'm not sure how this Feedback 4 Feedback works out, but if you help me out, we can work this out easily then.If you're asking how F4F works, basically anytime someone leaves feedback for you on your level, you go play theirs and do the same thing for them. Easy! If this wasn't your question, then I'll be quiet now.

And in case you're wondering, no you don't need to do F4F for me - this one's a freebie!

Hey Spark151,

You never fail to impress with visuals! I know it's difficult to make something morbid and spooky look aesthetically pleasing, but you managed to do just that! Of course your signature corner-editing skills were top-notch as usual, but I feel your stickerwork was the star of the show. This was the very first PSP level that made me think about a carefully chosen color-scheme or color-palette. I liked how you maintained cool colors throughout to evoke a chilling feeling, but infused warm colors here and there to give it this Harley-Davidson-esque bravado and aesthetic. This level had a whole lot of attitude, and that's a rarity on the PSP! Congratulations on the exceptional execution of a unique concept.

Like Taffey and Poo have mentioned, gameplay wasn't particularly as revolutionary as the visual design. I did like ascending the clouds and moving the casket along, but they didn't entertain me as much as I would have liked. What was entertaining for me though, was the platforming on that massive skeleton character. Now that's a show-stopper right there!

Like Taffey, I also had a bit of problem with the ghost. It was a bit flimsy, and I died multiple times. In addition to adjusting its length, maybe you can slow it down just a tad bit too? Or maybe I'm just a horrible platformer. I also wasn't able to bring the casket past the second set of bombs because I think I blew it up by accident. . Now I can never rest in peace.

I'll give it another go when I have time, but on first impressions I thought the scenery was nothing short of spectacular, and the gameplay was simple and solid. Easy 5:star:s and a heart from me too!

In between the warm and cool colors,

Amazing level, great aesthetics and mood.

Needs improved:

1. Delete the hands on the ghosts and shrink them down a bit(they're quite hard to avoid and the arms make it hard to judge where the gas behind them is.) I'd also experiment with making the winches that hold the ghosts up visible

2. The bombs in the first puzzle room aren't glued down so you can shove them off the ledge then get the coffin on the lift without grabbing the switch

3. In the first puzzle room you can use the coffin to get onto the ledge so the sponge block with the skull on it is pointless. What I'd do is flip the positioning of the platforms and the bomb switch around and make the ledge that's two layers thick one layer thick and move it to the back layer. Also, id make the ghost in the room move horizontally as well as vertically

4. On the elevator after the big skeleton(the one with the 2-way switch on it) you can break the level(you have to restart) by pulling the switch then jumping off it. All you need to do is attach a winch to the switch handle and the elevator, then attach a sensor switch set to directional to it and place the sensor switch on the floor below the elevator(when you activate the sensor switch, the winch pulls the 2-way switch back into position which makes it move downwards.

I thought this part was fine, considering that you have the option not to bring the coffin with you. I do agree however that the ghost could be slowed down a bit. Using the coffin would involve it more though so it'd be more part of the gameplay than dragging it. Dunno why I debateng though, it's Sparks level lol 2010-02-23 22:14:00

Ok, I only changed a few things on this level,
1. The title, thanks Taffey, I kind of missed that.
2. The crooked jaw on a skeleton.
3. The glitch on the elevator. (1st elevator and one with Death in it.
4. Got one bone out of the way for the switch.
5. The ghost in the first room.

I'm not fixing the skeleton's hand, because it would be pointless to have a tiny hand, and if I did, trust me, it would be complicated to rebuild.
Looks like I used wobble bolts? No I used regular bolts and a piston, it might break all down if I fix that.

Hey Spark151,

Thanks for the awesome changes! I redownloaded it, and will 5-star and reheart shortly.

Best,

EDIT: Okay, so I replayed the level, and it was flawless this time around! I also managed to bring my casket the whole way, so I saw the alternate ending. Yay! Good job again Spark151.

Yay, my first time playing a "Weddings" theme level on LBP PSP is this one!

I love the environment, and the transition from the car wreck to the coffin area (nice invisible glitch work) was pretty good. I soon discover that during the whole level's progression that the coffin is a bit of trouble, by that meaning that there's some parts it gets stuck on. Example, the first platform (elevator) with a switch on it. I dragged the coffin to far, and it got stuck. But it wasn't long before I got it out.

Over time, I went to the giant skeleton area (as seen on your screenshot), and I must say I'm impressed with your corner editing skills. I was to have this my first "Weddings" theme level, because the jaw-jump-skulls really were great and reminded me of the PS3 version.

I'm not fixing the skeleton's hand, because it would be pointless to have a tiny hand, and if I did, trust me, it would be complicated to rebuild.
Looks like I used wobble bolts? No I used regular bolts and a piston, it might break all down if I fix that.

(It might look like wobble bolts, but after my experience with the blasted things, I knew it was a piston and bolts after a second or two. Nice trick. )

Finally, I passed the skeleton part (mentioned above in the paragraph), and there I met an elevator. I climb on, flicked the switch and got on, but I fell down by going to the right, so I was stuck down below. So I had to Restart. Sadly, when I began to play the level again, my battery went dead, so... ya, I stopped playing.

I'll give more feedback later on, but for now, here's my results:

* Need to make the switch elevator (after the skelton) a button or grab switch (or find a way to stop the abondonment issue).
* In the beginning, try to make the first elevator's rightside (where the points are located) to an angle where the coffin won't get stuck.

Other than that, good job! So far it's looking like an easy :star::star::star::star::star: level. I hope to ♥ it soon.

Peace

Nice republish. Replayed, 5 more stars, and another heart.

Odd that I didn't notice this before, but at the end one of the speech bubbles says "...IF YOU BRANG YOUR COFFIN." I'm not sure if you did that intentionally or not, because it is kind of funny. Of course, the correct word is "brought" but you knew that already.

Speaking of speech weirdness, I forgot to mention in my original feedback that think you did a great job on the speech bubble on the skeleton. Love the dialect!

There is a lot I have to say about this level most good and some bad. Now what I loved was the way you used stickers and the style you brought to this level. I also was amazed at your corner editing skills you did some pretty amazing things. The one thing in this level was a plus and a negative was the coffin. I found this to be pretty cool how you had to drag it around the level but at the same time a chore. I had to actually restart the level twice because the coffin actually flipped over and another got stuck under something. Now I understand this is not your fault and later found that you put a counter measure in but it was basically my only complaint with this fantastic level I believe I gave it either 4 or 5 stars plus a heart. I would like you to give feedback on Target 1.1.2010-02-24 07:13:00

Hi, Spark151. Thanks for good level with nice design and very accurate work wihh corner tool and stickers. My respect for you work! I have no troubles during gameplay. You create cool characters and environments, level has good atmosphere. Idea with coffin is very interesting. Very sad, that someone have problems with it. Anyway, Spark151, thanks for interesting level with good story. Here are my 5 stars and heart for it.2010-02-25 09:00:00

Hey Spark - finally got around to playing your level and I have to say I really enjoyed it. The design in particular was really excellent, your skeleton was absolutely amazing. I also liked the feature of dragging your coffin through the level with you, and you implemented some nice puzzles to go with it. Having read some of the otehr posts I was careful not to get my coffin caught anywhere so didn't have any problems, but I assume most players won't already have that information, so it would probably be worth putting right.

If I were to change one thing about your level I'd probably say go easy on the prize bubbles. Your objects are absolutely ace, but I think most people would rather enjoy them in your level than in create mode themselves. I actually found myself avoiding the prize bubbles as I don't like having my inventory cluttered up by things I won't use.

Generally, a fab level - I was particularly impressed with the way you managed to mix fairly abstract and literal design elements together so seemlessly.

It's quite simple,
just check more around the level like jump on the skeleton's hand and maybe it'll lead you somewhere.

I'm actually quite surprised you even said you got stuck there.
Anyways, I hoped this helped.

Hi Spark.
I think i didnt give you feedback on this one yet.
So here it is

I had a bad start with this one. The first bombs didnt explode so i was stuck (this also happened after a restart)
BUT yesterday i gave it another try and everything worked just fine! Your sceleton looks amazing and everything fits in this level really well. I also liked the idea of carrying something around! You can expect something alike from my next level (in the very near future).

So i really enjoyed this one. 5 Stars from me!

Ah btw: You could now review my new level: Trapped Transition!

Great level Sparks, I loved the skeleton, and the whole spooky vibe worked very well. Your skeleton launchers worked perfectly and looked great! (ps3 tribute?).
The level design was fresh and never boring. You have a great eye when it comes to sticker placement. I think stickers make or break levels sometimes and yours were spot on! I wish I could do stickers like that. I usually don't use to many because I simply don't have the eye for it.

Overall a great level. Five stars and heart.

I also hearted you as creator too, because I really like your other levels, Your Metroids are a blast, and Scenic of the Leaves is gorgeous! I still have to play some of your other levels, but I wanted to give you feedback on this level first.

Well done my friend!!

Yes, I got my ideas from the PS3, but I didn't want to do the same storyline, so I've changed it up a bit.

Cool beans! The whole level had a neat ps3 vibe going on with the wedding music and the background, and with all the original designs it was a nice touch.

Ever think of doing an entire level from one of the ps3 storylines? I was thinking of trying one someday, scaled down of course. Someone has done Skulldozer already.

Spark151,

Sorry for the late feedback. The sad thing is I played your level before I came to this forum. But I wanted to go through it a few more times. The first thing that came to mind when I finished this level was how you captured the style of MM LBP levels. I could you put a lot of time into decorating it. It was short but the openness of your design helped by giving places to explore. It was a relaxing play for me which is great since I was enjoying the scenery. I’m a big fan of multiple endings in a level so that was cool. But there was really nothing preventing me from bringing the coffin up there so it wasn’t as strong as it could have been.

Fun and creative. Five stars and a heart from me. Thanks for making it. I’m going to download your new level next. From what I heard I’m sure Ill love it.
