Will my level get moderated?

Archive: 14 posts

Hi LBPC, Rhys125 here!
Ive named my newest level, "Power of the Planet", which shares its name with a BBC documentary called Earth: The Power of the Planet. I'm not 100% sure how the moderation system works, so would this be a sufficient reason for the level to be taken down? i haven't published it yet but i'll be looking to publish it in the next few days (Before Heavy Rain!).
Thanks in advance!

Hi friend! It just MIGHT be moderated.Im not entirely sure, but i think you can get moderated for copyright. but try publishing it anyways, most little kids dont even know what copyright even is.2010-02-22 09:14:00

I'd say if the level is put together well enough to make other players jealous. They could use 'copyright infringement' as a valid reason to get it moderrated out of spite.2010-02-22 09:36:00

In that case about a million levels would get moderated. It's fine.

As always build what you want, don't worry about the moderation system. You will never know how far you can go if you don't test it.

I'm sure it would be fine.

They don't really moderate real copyrighted levels often, so... Yeah...

PS. I CAN HAZ PLAYZ0R IT?

I wouldn't worry at all. There's thousands of levels based on movies, including mine, that have and will not be moderated. So I say publish that level!2010-02-22 13:40:00

As long as the content in the level isnt immature or way too violent, you have no reason to worry. But theres always the chance that some squirt good griefs you out of spite, as others have said.2010-02-23 01:24:00

Moderation occurs on more serious stuff, religionism, racism, etc.(Those are all words i found out!) Copyrights can be modded, but it rarley happens.2010-02-23 13:30:00

I think you be fine I mean I seen dragonball levels and they never got removed. I seen some levels with names that may make you blush @_o how they not get removed I still not figured out.2010-02-23 23:08:00

Thanks for the help guys! I don't know why I was worried! Ive played loads of levels based on movies etc too.

Anyway ive decided to wait until after Heavy Rain to publish it, because no one likes a rushed level! As for violence and immature content, theres a pretty violent volcano and a bunch of parrots getting into a heated debate, but you can't really understand what theyre saying!

If it does get moderated, then there's something wrong with the moderation system... (which i'm pretty sure there is lol) But you shouldn't have to worry I highly doubt it will be moderated.2010-02-24 16:54:00

As the others have said, unlikely. Possible, but unlikely, unless you make some players insanely jealous. But even then, I still doubt it, seeing as you could possibly argue your case, if the BBC doc was actually an inspiration for the level...regardless, I wish you the best of luck in this endeavor, sir!
