They way it works is that it catches you of gaurd (if you never heard of this) and when it asks you for a random vegetable, you pick the most common one to say: carrot. Other vegetables have either more syllables or more complex pronunciation to it. So it's more of first reactions instead of tricks.

I have a theory that when you read "quickly", you have the hard "c" or "k" sound in your head (from the Qu and the ck). Hence, you are more inclined to pick a veggie starting with a "C".

So, I'm not surprised that people are choosing Cucumber or Corn in addition to Carrot.

But, yeah, you got me!
