Zombie Survival (with Multiplayer...?)
Archive: 9 posts
Imagine this: You're a local bartender, cleaning up shop after a long night. Flipping on the news, you hear s that it's the zombie apocalypse. Luckily, you're prepared for such situations - you're in a bar, for goodness' sake! You hear a strange shuffling noise coming from outside. You grab your shotgun. Every night, the zombies come. Every day, you can investigate the outside world and obtain supplies (extra guns, which would be mounted on the bar's upper story, food to eat, and even some allies - up to 3), but you have to solve simple puzzles to obtain these things. There would always be a visible timer (I guess this would require a sackboy tracker, yes?) so you could budget your time. As your challenge continued, however, the timer would increase a little bit to keep it fair. The bar would also be interactive - there would be old-school lamps, point bubbles that would emit after every successful night, and a cellar...but if you choose to use the cellar, it could open up another possible method of attack by the zombies! And if they get in, it's an automatic game over for you! There could actually be an end to the level, in which a truck would come and take you and your friends on a wild and crazy ride to the exit...where it would run over zombies, and maybe require you to man the turrets. What do you guys think? It would be a better survival level...if you could consider it a survival level... | 2010-02-20 18:19:00 Author: Ragfell Posts: 729 |
Sound like a Good Idea! Now I fell like Ive seen this Day & night Sequence somewhere... & It worked for them! | 2010-02-20 19:54:00 Author: Nurolight Posts: 918 |
I vaguely remember this being a flash game...where you had 8 hours for working on your fort, 8 for sleep, and 8 to repel the zombies...but I think this version could work a bit better... | 2010-02-20 23:41:00 Author: Ragfell Posts: 729 |
Oh yes! You are thinking bout ''The Last Stand'' or ''The Last Stand 2'' Links: http://www.kongregate.com/games/ConArtists/the-last-stand http://www.kongregate.com/games/ConArtists/the-last-stand-2 The concept is awesome dude! | 2010-02-20 23:50:00 Author: Fredrik94 Posts: 342 |
YES! The first one was it! I feel like mixing that with the premise of Shaun of the Dead...any pointers, types of logic you'll think I'll need? | 2010-02-21 03:23:00 Author: Ragfell Posts: 729 |
Limesta- Has a zombie survival with a day/night timer, and a point value system, you might be interested in checking it out. Yours sounds quite more interactive, i know after a while it gets a bit dull playing his, but its still worth mentioning. | 2010-02-21 03:58:00 Author: Burnvictim42 Posts: 3322 |

I think you should have something like money, that you can use to purchase upgrades. Say, on the first night you could have a paintinator with ammo 20 - if you survive then you could win "powerup crystals" (cheesy, huh?) and use them to buy a paintinator with ammo 30, and so on. And each night, the zombie riots get larger and more ferocious. In other words, the Tower Defence concept could be used here as well. | 2010-02-22 22:03:00 Author: Holguin86 Posts: 875 |
Well, that's why during the foraging time, you could find ammo-pickups and more guns (besides the standard paintinator, which could emit a bomb, but have a large recoil, that sorta thing), as the zombie horde grew... | 2010-02-23 05:21:00 Author: Ragfell Posts: 729 |
