I know what we really need! An underwater brain and a way for creatures to move about in the water, like the wheels or legs. One we have underwater enemies then my LBP life will be complete. But what do you guys think? | 2010-02-20 07:54:00 Author: The Gentleman Posts: 360 |
Eureka (!) Ya. I'm curious how geruvah got them to follow players... | 2010-02-20 08:13:00 Author: Syroc Posts: 3193 |
You can make underwater enemies if you really tried. But I do agree - a fin or turbine attachment would simplify things a bit. | 2010-02-20 14:50:00 Author: SLS10 Posts: 1129 |
Sorry for the spelling mistake by the way. I'm smarter than that. | 2010-02-20 22:18:00 Author: The Gentleman Posts: 360 |
I made a sort of Fort strapped to a whale's back and made the whale move in the manner of the snake contraption where various wobble bolts make the tail move in a pleasingly swishy manner, it means when I increase the weight inside the whale's body to submerge it, the whale actually moves a bit more realistically in the water, of course I had to place a thruster inside it to give it a bit more speed, but it works none the less | 2010-02-20 22:23:00 Author: Dunadrian Posts: 57 |
Now that you talk about water it would be cool, if you could set options for water, like electrify it somehow, or a tool, that transforn a material into water, so instead of making a whole level with water you just, make like small puddles etc, thatd be pretty cool. | 2010-02-20 22:41:00 Author: Bloo_boy Posts: 1019 |
Yeah I'd like to be able to make water deadly, like electrifying it makes it give off a blue glow and making it into lava, make it turn a glowy orange colour. People have entertained the idea of small water areas alot but I'm not sure it's wholly feasable. It sounds easy enough to make it work like a standard material, basically cut a square of water into a level and that makes a puddle, as long as no particle physics are required it is possible but it'd take a ton of work. | 2010-02-20 22:47:00 Author: Dunadrian Posts: 57 |
Try JP_Bourrin's Angry Pacman level. He has created rocket powered enemies that will hunt you down both in and out of the water. I don't know how he has done it though... I think it's a pretty complicated use of proxy switches and several booster rockets. I'm not even sure this is what you are thinking of? You want them to be more restricted? Like enemies on land "patroling", but just in water without using pistons? | 2010-02-21 12:54:00 Author: Slaeden-Bob Posts: 605 |

The same as normal, land creatures but in water, I'm thinking sharks and fish. | 2010-02-21 14:26:00 Author: The Gentleman Posts: 360 |
this would be cool. it would definatly increase the number of shark vs croc levelsthough... but seriously..... lbp needs this. it would also be good if you could make brains invisible Just think, a fish with an invisibly underwater brain | 2010-02-21 17:42:00 Author: samalot Posts: 591 |
that's...not a bad idea. would be really useful. | 2010-02-21 19:18:00 Author: trip090 Posts: 1562 |
