MrsSpookyBuz leaving :(

It is with great regret that I announce that due to significant personal reasons, MrsSpookyBuz is leaving LBPC. Usually we don't allow goodbye threads, but she's contributed so much to the site (Creator Spotlight, anyone?), it seems crazy not to.

MrsSpookyBuz has been a gift. She's a truly good person, one that sacrifices for the people she cares about and has nothing but nice things to say, even in situations where friendly words are difficult to conjure up. She spent a great deal of her life adding to the pure awesome that is the LBPC community, and she's leaving it much better off than she found it. She even manages to make friends with nearly everyone she meets, something that I haven't even figured out yet. She's simply irreplaceable. There's not much to say except: Thank you, MrsSpookyBuz. Thank you for everything you've done for LBPC, for its community, and for me. I never really got to talk to you much MrsSpookyBuzz, but you always were a great poster and member here, and I hope that whatever's going on is not too terrible... I hope you can come back, and remember, if I can bounce back from where I was personally, and get back to this game (I swear I will), so can you (I really hope that isn't too assumptive, and that it's not a really bad thing to downplay). You'll be greatly missed, and I'm sorry I never got to play with you, or jump in on cocreate.

Not much else to say... She really was great.

You were such a help on LBPC: The Game, and I'll miss your feedback and help on that, although I'll be sad that now you can't make level 10.

But regardless, despite how sad I am to lose you from a tactical standpoint, you have always been nice and friendly and all that stuff, and I don't really think anyone actually hated you really... Or maybe they did, but from what I saw everyone just loved you.

It really makes me sad to hear that MrsSpookyBuz is leaving. She was one of the members of LBPC that really kept the community going. She brought life to LBPC and has always been a very kind, helpful person. She was always willing to help anyone who was struggling or needed some help with LBP, and her advice was always appreciated. Her levels were, and still are wonderful to play and she will greatly be missed. Thanks for everything you have done for LBPC MrsSpookybuz, you'll always be remembered. Well, all good things must come to an end I guess and I can't agree more that this community is a much better place for your being here MrsSpookyBuz. Your wit, humor and good nature always seemed to brighten up the place and you will be sorely missed. Seriously. I loved all the creator spotlights, I liked her poems, and her levels were great... she was a champ. When MrsSpookyBuzz put me in her LBPC level in the trailer, I was so happy, and it kept me going through some bad times where all I wanted was to get back to my friends and creating levels... she made me feel like I was not forgotten on the game, and not just on LBPC.		2010-02-19 23:48:00

This comes as a massive surprise. I did have the pleasure of MrsSB's company in my pod a few times when we first got acquainted and she was always fun and supportive.

Unfortunately I haven't seen much of her for quite a while but I think that's primarily because she's been so busy with other things as you all know.

Anyway if you're reading this MrsSB I wish you all the best and hope that whatever problems you are having can be resolved and all will be well again soon.

- To CC, or as I prefer it, Michael - I'm very touched by your words. You exemplify integrity, diplomacy and professionalism beyond your young years. You are a sheer delight to know, and I am secretly so proud of you. My time here on LBPC has been made that much more pleasurable because of you. - To NinjaMicWZ. Your poem was gorgeous, thank you. I, too, regret very much not getting to know you better. From what I read, you are such an enigmatic and magnetic personality that I feel I've missed out on your company. When it was decided that your character was to appear in the level I was creating, I was overjoyed. I spent over 20 hours cutting out your character, and all the time hoping that you would approve. When LBPC: The Game appears, I hope you do.

- To Dan, Shermzor, and all the Sackcast team. All I remember from Sackcast (apart from the website) is the absolute fun I had when you did your live sessions. You're a talented bunch, and your work is appreciated not only by me and lots of people here, but by MM themselves. I wish you every continued success.

Somehow its hard to imagine LBPC without MrsSB. You joined after I did, and immediately made an impact upon the community with your kind and thoughtful posts, not to mention your several fantastic levels. You helped bring the community spotlight to LBPC, as well as a smile to many a face with your beautiful poems. Gah, it feels like i'm writing a eulogy here, LBPC is at a severe loss at your departure.

As much as i'd love to write a poem here, i'm afraid my wordsmithery isn't quite good enough. However, I hope that you leave knowing this: You have left your mark on all of our hearts.

Dang it... this is tragic news. Sorry to say it so selfishly, but I find this horribly unacceptable and want her back.

Arggggghhh!! Aww well, if I must say goodbye, then I say only goodbye for now in hopes of her swift return and whatever the personal reasons are she is facing, I hope they can be successfully dealt with and have her come home to us.

I have to say this though... It was truly a wonderful honor to call her my friend and words can never describe her level of awesome. She moved mountains and generated amazing warmth with her smile. To say it simply, she is one class act. Thanks for everything you have done for LBPC as well as LBP. On a more personal note, thanks so much for what you have done for me. Much appreciated.

This is horrible to hear. MrsSpookyBuz will be missed by many. She was the one who helped me get my moderated level fixed. I have read many threads when she stood up for the many unknown creators that got laughed at because of their first creations. She is a MASSIVE help to everyone. We will all miss you and your huge heart to help others.

When I saw the Headline, I was like: "No it can't be real!" But unfortunately, it was. Mrs, you were one of LBPC's most influent member. Losing someone as important as you here is more than sad. Be sure that you'll miss everybody here and be sure that you will always be in our hearts. I don't know you very well but I know you were someone lovely and friendly. If possible, I'd be more than happy if you could ever come back to us. But you know more than me what your problems are. Anyway, feel free to come back here if you feel the need to. For God's sakes, please think about this twice, three times if you have to, maybe more, but PLEASE, look at EVERYONE who has come here to show their LOVE for you. I understand if you need a break, but you are a VITAL part of this community; you donated $100 dollars to get us to Vbullentin 4; you've made endless sacrifices so that two time a month we get the scoop on the BEST levels there are. You even wished me a Happy Birthday when only one of my classmates did so on Facebook.


In the end though, if you're absolutely sure there's nothing left here for you, I respect your decision, and I wish you an awesome, happy life. But I truly hope it isn't so. None of us deserves this, SPECIALLY YOU.

I'm really sad by this news, but I can't say that I would have reacted any differently had I been in her situation...

However... I completely understand needing to walk away from something that is affecting your life in a negative way. This game has done that to me many times, the most recent example being the Sackie awards, which have pretty much soured my experience to the point where I nearly left, too.

I'm...speechless...I mean, I don't EXACTLY get why you're leaving, because you're still able to post now and then if you could and just quit all of your current stuff you do such as the creator spotlight interviews.

I haven't spoken to you too much because I'm somewhat of a lurker here, but I've been here for a while so I think I got a feel for this place and many of its members which is why the first thing I thought when I read this topic is that you are dying and didn't want to tell anyone. That was my gut reaction to the idea of you permanently leaving this place at this point in time because I think something like that would have to happen for you to leave. The actual reason is truly baffling...

I don't buy it. It makes no sense.......at all.

If there is an actual reason that you are leaving, then it's a farewell and thank you from me. People like you make LBPC what it is and have helped LBP become an even more enjoyable experience. If the reason you're leaving doesn't actually go beyond what you have posted in this thread, then I cannot say goodbye because you don't say that to people who are running away from you. 		2010-02-20 14:36:00

I'm sorry to hear that you will be leaving us. You've done a fantastic job and have contributed so much to this site, to say that you will be missed is a huge understatement. I'm glad I returned to LBP in time to get to know you and can't thank you enough for your input and kind words on all that I've done. I'll be sure to keep in touch on PSN, we're friends now!

I wish you the best of luck and hope that you find what it is you're looking for. No sense trying to talk you out of it, if space is what you need, then find your peace.

I've lurked this site for the better half of a year and the thing I've noticed is that your posts always brought peace where there was anger and joy when there was sadness. The contributions you've made could only be rivaled by a select few. LBPC has truly benefited from your membership, as I'm sure any place you go will as well.

Creator's have come and gone, people buy and sell this game alot, but creator's like you are the heart and soul of the game and of this site. I have a huge urge to write a massive post containing many reasons why you should reconsider, but it looks like you've made you're mind up. :/

I remember returning to this site after a few months of inactivity and finding so many new faces, yours included. Since returning, I've always had it secretly in my mind that you're the one who kept me from going inactive again. I know we never had huge conversations, but you're kindness, honesty and humour was a breath of fresh air. The things you've said and done, big and small have made this site what it is today and I can honestly say if it wasn't for you, I would have left months ago. I don't think I'll ever forget you! I seem to remember you saying you spilt whisky down yourself because of me! Good times! ...Well for me anyway!

Lisa is gone, so there's not much sense leaving this thread open. We would appreciate if you would all let this personal matter be left to those for whom it is personal...


Instead, let us be thankful for Lisa's actions to always provide positive feedback and a helping hand. She was one of LBP's premiere members, and she will be missed. I hope you are all understanding of why this thread is now locked. You will find no satisfaction in continuing to pry. Bygones should be allowed to be bygones. LBPC will continue to not only exist, but strive, without Lisa. This is because it is not about an individual person, but the collective whole of the community that makes us so great.
