Knights of the Azure Palace Part 1gevurah22
http://www.daviddino.com/kazureptone02.jpgAs the follow up to the Azure Palace of levels long ago, Knights of the Azure Palace Part 1 will take players deeper into the lore of the underwater Azure Palace. Players will once again use the Azure Key to survive the harsh dangers that await them, while attempting to unlock the mysteries of the Azure Knights and their eternal fight against the evil Unktehilas. Littered with secrets, score combos, and amazing visuals, experience true underwater action and survival in this race to the finish in Part 1 of the Knights of the Azure Palace series!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eDukGGNirh0

Features
- The Palace denizens aren't too fond of Sackboys and they're willing to follow you anywhere until you leave...
- Use multiple Azure Keys at once! If you lose one, you can always get it back!
- Defeat certain enemies to unlock special conditions and secrets
- Survive with the Azure Key to unlock special conditions and secrets hidden throughout the Azure Palace

Firstly, a big thanks to the beta testers. It really helped getting a different perspective on my level which has been in the works for what seems like ages now! It's been a long time since I actually sat down and worked on a level from beginning to end since GOTY, and it's really refreshing to actually finish and feel accomplished.

A lot of people wanted the original Azure Palace to have water, but I didn't think it would do it justice. Not only that, I thought I could do much better than just add water, so thus Knights of the Azure Palace came about. Gameplay is rather straightforward, but still reminiscent of the original as you are carrying the Azure Key around and using it to protect yourself from the dangers of the Unktehila. But thanks to having actual water physics and a couple glitches, I was able to pull off some neat tricks. And part two is currently in development as well, but for now I hope you enjoy the ride that Part 1 can bring.

On an aside, I'd like to kick off a little present for LBPC members. I have three little Sackboys who are itching to get out of my house and find new homes.

http://www.daviddino.com/dssackboys3.jpg

So in conjunction with LBPCentral, we're going to have an Official Contest with the Knights of the Azure Palace Part 1 to find these guys a home... yours to be exact!

Rules:

The top three LBPC members that appear on the Knights of the Azure Palace Part 1 scoreboard at the end of March 12 2300 PST will receive one of these Sackboys for free!
Qualified members must be registered as an LBPCentral Member
No use of score glitching is allowed
Entrants must notify their score and PSNs to this thread
Only one player scores will be counted

Don't worry about the shipping as it'll be taken care of personally. Every other day, I'll post the current leaders so you guys know what you need to do to win! So lets have fun and win ourselves some Sackboys!!!

Going to play now. Found bug in beta tho, the key could get stuck between 2 walls(I think it was near were u first get it.) and you had to restart. The checkpoint issue wasn't cuz it frustrate, it cuz swimming(even fast) was slow so you'd often die then respawn far away. I'd also give players the option of a scuba suit so they don't find it to hard(maybe there a switch near start if you pull it you get scuba.) If you wanted to Be fancy you could even make the bubble emitters turn off too.2010-02-19 10:15:00

Just got done playing this.... epic! And I don't mean that in the "hey, this is a good level" epic - I mean that in the true english meaning of the word. Fantastic story, well-written text, great design and mechanics, beautiful graphics, and intriguing switch logic that truly brings life to the creatures. This level kept me rivited all the way to the end.

I loved the battles - having those little creatures following you while you're trying to kill them with the key really added tension. Plus, that place FEELS huge and gives a great sense of exploration.

The one thing I felt could be improved is having a checkpoint right where one of those creatures would float. If you die it's pretty difficult to get out of that spot, since the creature follows you and you're on the checkpoint. I managed to get out in 1 try (by coaxing the creature one way then zipping away really quick), but I could see how players may think they are stuck. Maybe either not have a checkpoint in that particular room, or put it in an area out of the open a bit where those creatures can't foolow you..... I'm sure you'll think of something.

Regardless, this level is a 5 star level if I ever saw one... you obviously put a HUGE amount of work in it. Great job!

Can't wait to play this. But I have a concern with your contest...

There is a relatively new bug regarding scores that I think could potentially cause controversy in a score related contest. The high scores do not remain static. What I mean is that they seem to revert or, in some cases, disappear altogether. For instance, in my current level Virtual Reality Survival Challenge 2, Duffluc has achieved the high score for single player. But I've only seen his name up there two or three times (yes, it has changed back and forth that often). Last night he was shown in 5th place with a much lower score (the score he had before he reached the top spot). Also, Mr. & Mrs. Vista scored huge on the two player (or so they say... I have no reason to doubt them other than the fact that...) their prior score is what shows on the stats (although it is also the top score, it is not the 800k + that they recently scored). After I mentioned this in my level thread, others chimed in that they were experiencing similar scoreboard/stat oddities.

So... anyway... just a word of caution. If this bug persists, it may be challenging to run a fair high score contest.

CC called it, I got stuck there for 15seconds, totaled up to 8 deaths the moment sackboy exited the checkpoint(Before the player gets control). Eventually it's sudden boosts upon my respawn got it out from infront of the checkpoint and I was able to put a wall between me and him. After that everything was fine.2010-02-19 16:18:00

Yeah as vortex says it's not a good time to hold a contest until the bug is fixed.

Also I played the level earlier and couldn't finish because of a bug after powering up the key so it wouldn't be fair to hold the contest until the level itself has been thoroughly tested and all possible level breaking bugs sorted out too.

Thanks for that man! Regarding that particular checkpoint, I have an idea of how to fix that little part when I get back home. It shouldn't affect the total gameplay of it.

And that's what you were talking about PaddyJ, lol. It'll be easily taken care of. I'll make that checkpoint a little safe haven. Those monsters are supposed to be pretty aggro so I should've thought about placement a little better.

Score bug stuff

Totally understandable and thanks for the heads up. I'll be taking the pics of the scores myself so that at least there will be some sense of consistency. I'll also do it within a certain amount of time as well. I know what the average high score can be since I've really worked the multipliers and whatnot, so if I see something that's out of the norm, questions will arise to its legitimacy. But hey, you LBPC guys wouldn't lie to me, right? =P

I left details in the comments section of the level. It was basically that grabbing the key takes you to the middle layer by the look of it into the area where you have to get past that monster with gas around it and collect the bubbles to open the door. I did that and powered up the key but when I went up to kill the next monster with it I got killed by it and respawned before the big monster in the previous area and then because I had nothing to grab I couldn't move from the front layer to get into that area again.2010-02-19 16:38:00

You can get keys over and over again, so if you lose one you can always get more. The level does mention it a couple times. It's set so that multiple players can use at least 2 keys at a time.

That's why you get sent back to the key spawn point so you can get another one. ^^

I probably should have wrote this down in the beginning but...
Features
- Use multiple Azure Keys at once! If you lose one, you can always get it back!
- Defeat certain enemies to unlock special conditions and secrets
- Survive with the Azure Key to unlock special conditions and secrets hidden throughout the Azure Palace

Just played. 5 star definitely.

Improve:

1. On the swimming thing that follow you, glue a thin layer behind them, then on the checkpoint copy the stone around them, then make it thin layer and paste it in front. Then the enemie can't get infront checkpoint.

2. Would it be any trouble releasing a easy version which gives you the scuba powerup? Just make a copy of your level, delete all bubble emitters then put scuba at checkpoints. I completed the level but I found it frustrating getting air because of the scale of the level(don't make shorter) especially in chase scenes.

3. On the key dispensers you use a invisible rod? to connect the top and bottom, but you can bend it by pulling(it could snap with 4 player maybe? Just use a thin layer of stone glued behind to hold them together.

1. I think I'm just going to make a dissolvable barrier around the checkpoint which allows the player to get out two ways. If I put a thin material in the back of the small guys, no pretty effects will show up on the key. =P
2. I can totally do that. I'll just take out some of the beastier prizes and go from there. It'll change the dynamic of the level, but it's easy mode. ^^
3. There was a reason why I did that, but I'll see if I can implement it.

Thanks for looking out! =)

To get invisible material(do in empty level, it makes an annoying glitch):

get island oni boss, delethalise. Change all the parts of it except one of the blocks under it's feet to dissolve. Wire a switch to all the dissolve then press switch. The wind up teeth will still be there so move them away from the block then crush them with a metal block. Capture the block. Place it where you like, material change etc. Then shrink down til it turns invisible.

The glitch is that after you crush the parts there's an invisible floating, unselectable emitter that shoots fireballs

Alternatively, just shrink down a skinny piece of rubber until it goes invisible. Much less hassle.

You can make bigger pieces of invisible material by doing to above and smearing* the thin piece sideways to make a big rectangle. Shrink down the rectangle and it will go invisible sooner. Lather, rinse, repeat until at the desired size. When you make your skinny piece and smear it, make them HUGE. Then, use a stamp (a cookie cutter type of piece) to cut from your big invisible chunk the desired shape (assuming not rectangular). When working with it, stick a visible piece of material to it so you can see where it is.

*Copying it and holding down X while moving the left analogue stick, to smear the material.

Alternate2: stick a piece of checkpoint thick material to your baddies so that they can't go over the checkpoint.

Oh you guys are talking about that? There's a couple areas in the level that use that technique, lol. I use a couple invisible dark matter to not only block off some areas but to hold up most of the point bubbles in the level.2010-02-19 20:40:00

Well I got killed quite a lot, but hey: 8,613. PSN ID: VincentVendetta

Now the level: really, really good. Pretty much the best use of water I've seen in a level. The only complaint I have is I got lost a one point. But hey, that means more exploration.

EDIT#1: New Score!: 9,405. Died once under embarassing circonstances.

Thanks for the info but how do you get the key back ?

If I'd known you could do that I would have.

Oh by the way one thing I forgot to mention before was the positioning of magic mouths or the triggers for them. I can't explain easily which ones but a few times when they activated I died while the speech was on. The only way I could find to avoid that was cancel them straight away which unfortunately means you miss some potentially vital info. Come to think of it that's probably why I never read anything about getting keys again if you lose them.

Good job on the first try. I'm pretty sure you can easily get a higher score than that even with a ton of deaths now, lol. Almost every set of score bubbles can at least net a 3x. In the big section before the first chase, there are two 6x possibilities. Not easy, but possible. Good luck to you man and thanks!

It's essentially a throw away you don't need anymore once you activate the Azure Key launcher again when you respawn. It's unlimited in a sense, but you can only have two active at one time.

As for the magic mouths, are you talking about when they go into a cutscene? Aside from the first one where you first meet the Unhketi, they should all occur in a "safe haven." Even if you don't do anything, you shouldn't drown. Just let me know and I'll see what I can do, although I can only alter it so much before the game freaking out on me because of the thermo. The problem with using such a huge scale on top of being underwater without a scuba suit can have these issues crop up.

Haha, merely coincidence... or is it? o__O

But I've went ahead and closed up some gaps that things were getting caught in on top of fixing that one particular spawn point... hopefully. I've also pushed forward the radii on the azure star gates in the last section so that they activate a lot faster than before. Let me know if anything else breaks and I'll do my best to get it fixed ASAP.

Score: 9,330

I'm lastinline on NeoGAF. I said it on GAF already, but I'll say it here. Your level was awesome, and I enjoyed playing it. Just had that one problem where I was trying to use the key to get to a prize bubble during the chase scene, and I couldn't get to it no matter what. Regardless, I had fun, and the level looked very good.

Awesome and gigantic level! In fact it was so big that i had to quit before i finished it...

Suggestions (and there are few needed):
Add more checkpoints. I spent a long time retreading familiar ground because i died

Thanks man, much appreciated! The problem with more checkpoints is that I will need more of those key launchers... which are rather thermo hungry. That level is maxed out sadly. It doesn't help that the level is rather large in scale, lol.

So I totally broke your level!

I passed the 'gates' or blocks, or whatever you want to call it. And at the other side I got killed by some invisible gas (I'm pretty sure it came from the key) then, the blocks wouldn't open. So I got stuck at the wrong side.

This is a truly amazing level. The scale and ambition of it are breath-taking. The massive ruined palace is beautifully realised. Fantastic use of materials, decorations and lighting ? all create a real sense of mystery and decayed grandeur. The statues, serpents and Knights are magnificent.

The effects you create and the mechanics: the azure key with its power up, the homing enemies and the two chase sequences all make for great gameplay. You really manage to create tension too. My heart was racing more than once. Fantastic story too.

The level is complex. The first time I played I lost my bearings once or twice but the more you play the more it all falls into place and with a level like this I?m sure people will be more than prepared to put in the effort to get to grips with it.

I?ll definitely be playing again. I have managed to get all 6 prize bubbles but I want to improve my score and explore more of the nooks and crannies. Thanks for a really exciting level. With all the praise for the first Azure Palace level you must have wondered whether you would be able to create something to match it. Well, if you did worry, you needn?t have - this level is just stunning.

Today I played your level, and i found it very atmospheric, complex and cool, but I found some issues too. I really liked the level and I'm looking forward to play Part 2, but I want to give you this "issues list" to improve the level. In the beginning, the first time that you go underwater (after that the statue breaks), I spent much time to understand what to do. Maybe it was just me, but I was sure that there was an underwater door. Then, sometimes the creature killed me, and in the platform, seeing the right wall "closed", i always went left, so I died 3-4 times to understand that i had to go right. It can be solved with a simple light showing you the way, or a sticker.
Then, the Azure Key killed me a lot of times, really. When I had to take oxygen bubbles, I had to rotate myself, but often a gas killed me. If you think that many times I got out of oxygen when i was followed by the creatures, it was a problem, and the roads to escape from the creatures were longs, so dying near the end was annoying. Maybe just add more bubble emitters, or simply delete the Key's gas. Then, i suggest you to enlarge the trigger of the switches that makes the door open if the Key is near, because in the pursuit zone, every time I opened a door, it disappeared some seconds after, stopping me there. Then, some strange deaths by gas, like near the King Statue or near some zones... They aren't real bugs, just annoying things.
Now I can't remember other things (maybe these were the only ones), but I can say that I really liked the style of your level, the statues, the lights and the atmosphere. It really reminded me the first Azure Palace, the following creatures were great, and I want to try the Azure Knights Armor
So, my rate for this level is :star: :star: :star: :star: , tagged Complex! Good work for the next part, I want it more awesome!

Awesome, lol. Do you remember exactly where it happened? Was it in the last section?

It is when you put the azure key into that thing. Then you swim some to the left and there is a guy saying THE AZURE KEY IS ALIVE or something. Then there is 5 pairs of blocks/doors/gates. I went through them. Then at the other side, I got killed by some invisible gas. Therefore, I respawned back at the other place, I went back, but the gates/blocks wouldn't open. I tried bringing the key or inserting it into that ''put key here'' thingy. Nothing worked.

Well, I know it's a bit stupid, but these "non-sense" deaths annoyed me, and I had to re-do some parts. I know that Donkey won't have problems to fix them, and then I'll be happy to give him 5 stars.

Um, I dunno how that happened. I tried replicating the issue, but had no luck.

Changes were made to the keys and I found the gas you were talking about near the King Statue. I also pushed back the door key radii a little more but not that much since they're meant to delay you in order to add that tension. There's ways to dodge the beast without getting hit so the small radii is intentional. Other than that, thanks for the opinions! Every little bit helps to make the level ultimately better for everyone. ^^

game breaker on first chase scene where you meet the king, activated the azure key plate without collecting all the bubbles, mosnter came up, and checkpoint went up, but water level remained, and couldnt get up, snake got caught in the debris and wouldnt move until it finally broke thru, water level didnt change, died and went to the checkpoint that got stuck on one of the rocks heading up, finally snake gets to dissolving rubble but ends up destroying part of the checkpoints base making me and the checkpoint fall to the water, water level never changed so i cant continue, pause, return to pod

hope you end up fixing this soon

I don't even know why the water level doesn't change for some people. The trigger itself encompasses the entire height of the hallway... (the scene where it goes "The Key... Its Power..." and the debris goes up). Nobody in the beta test told me of a similar issue, so it's odd this is happening.

I've added another trigger to ensure water level goes up on top of some other things, but I really don't know how that isn't activating in the first place.

It takes a bit to load up. Some scores that were posted earlier today showed up a couple hours later. As for shipping, I'll send PMs to the winners and we'll work out shipping addresses and whatnot.

Congrats with your score as well and good luck!

Finally got around to playing this today with Compher and we had a fun, but somewhat frustrating time. First, let me say I really enjoyed the scale of the level. It is definitely epic! The intro was very well done and the level as a whole had a nice cinematic feel. We did run into an issue right off the bat where I spawned up top, and compher spawned down below me which was a bit odd. After popping myself, I quickly respawned with compher and we got run and swimming through the level! I loved the opening puzzle and room in which the knight slams the sword into the ground and you fall to the water. Very, very cool!

We then encountered the enemies that follow you in the water which were also very cool! Things get especially tense when they join the fray in groups later in the level. It was at the start of the level that we had felt some frustration, or I did at least (can't speak for Comph). I often found that I was unclear of where to go in the level or we'd go around in circles searching for a "soul" we were supposed to collect or a creature that we needed to destroy. I think this is just a by product of the epic scale of this palace. It's easy to get lost! Another issue we struggled with was an area where we died while fighting an enemy, retrieved a key, but it didn't seem to be the "powered up" version, so we had to swim back to the pedestal and "power" it up, which then worked fine.

Those frustrations went away with the encounter at the end though! The chase was very fun and it gets even more intense when the homing enemies start coming after you as well. Intense action all around and definitely my favorite part.

Overall, I had frustrating start at first, but felt the level ended strong. It had a truly epic feeling and I'm interested to see where you head with part 2. Well done!

Thanks a lot , and much apologies for the lack of "instruction," but that is how I planned it. I could probably attempt to add a couple visual clues, but at the moment, I can't add anything else to the stage it freaks the hell out. I was going for a Shadow of the Colossus type setting where you're just kinda like... so... where do I go? I know it doesn't work all the time and it isn't the most effective way of leading a player through a stage, but I just thought it was appropriate. And yes, the scale does exemplify that fact.

The whole key thing is understandable as well. I would have loved to switch the unpowered key with the powered key in the key launcher once you activated it, but... I just have no space to do it, especially with the level of detail I tried to cram in that stage.

Regardless, I'm glad you enjoyed it in the end and the second part is working out to be shorter... but much crazier. And there will be a proper boss for this one. :3

I played a little, but I wasn't sure where to go. I only got up to the point where the blue gas snake dude talks and raises the water level.
I saw a sticker prize bubble under him, but it was blocked by a wall and there was a star design next to it. The combined factors of limited oxygen and the sack seeking bad guy made it somewhat troublesome.
What am I supposed to do here?
Thanks

The monster says you have to collect the "souls" to continue. Basically you need to collect all the score bubbles in the area (not the prize bubble as it can be unlocked later).

I thought the vibe and look of this thing was amazing, it really feels epic and otherworldy. The opening cinematics were just great too, so polished and pro!

I've played twice so far, and i still haven't managed to get to the finish line (laugh), but I'm getting further each time! I You have to be in the right mood for this level, take your time, explore and find your way around. I didn't have any major issues with anything, other than occasionally not knowing where to go, and even that is sometimes a plus. It must be a task and a half getting all this to work flawlessly, given the scale of the level, as soon as I'm feeling serene enough I'll be jumping back in!!

Thank you very much and I'm glad you're enjoying it through multiple replays. Again, scale was a big issue in properly representing it, but so far it seems to be working out. If levels could hold more, it would probably have more tracking monsters in it, but unluckily (or luckily depending on your POV), I couldn't.

Also, I attempted to fix an issue where the doors leading to the main hall with the Azure King did not open. Hopefully its been remedied as I was watching someone play the level through livestream last night and he got stuck there, lol.

Thanks man, much appreciated! The problem with more checkpoints is that I will need more of those key launchers... which are rather thermo hungry. That level is maxed out sadly. It doesn't help that the level is rather large in scale, lol.

Well, see, the thing is that if you die you had a key you were hauling around and you can usually pick that back up, so more checkpoints would probably help if you can put enough in.

I'm in the process of making an easy mode which has these things, but it also detracts a few dangers and prizes as well. I never like making my core levels easy since I have an old school gamer mentality, lol.

OK - in usual v0rtex form, I don't get it. I am in the first chamber - just one baddie to avoid, but I swam around for 10 minutes before giving up. If there's a hint as to what I'm supposed to do next, it is lost on me. Don't get me wrong, it looks fantastic. The opening cut-scene drama is great, and the epic scale and dramatic lighting and camera work are just beautiful. I just don't have a clue.

Also... am I the only one? I really abhor long water levels. The water release is cool and all, but the only way to move quickly underwater is with the X button held down, and my poor old thumb gets mighty tired after a while. Anyway, if someone wants to give me a hint, I'll go back and give it another shot (after my hand regains it's feeling, that is).

I'm with you vortex.

I'm afraid I've given up on this one now. I'm just sick of keep drowning every few minutes and every time I've tried to play it something has broken making it impossible to carry on.

Today I got further than before but after powering up the key and killing a monster I appeared in the first room again. I had a look round in there and dissolved the wall with the key and got the prize bubble but couldn't find any way out of that room again. I went behind and up in the scenery in a couple of places but just got stuck and had to come back and then got squashed by the roof. I then respawned from a checkpoint that was on the floor in the blue gas and was just stuck in a constant cycle of respawning and dying ad infinitum.

Eh, tbh I have no idea how you activated that checkpoint considering the sensor switch its connected to is fixed to the first giant statue in the Azure Sword room. Perhaps I should ask you to beta test the next one. =P Honestly though, apologies for the frustrations. Can't win em all!

I just published an easy mode too with more bubble points, less aggro enemies, and modified checkpoints as well, lol.

@ Kamari07 - fair enough!

@ Arctos13 - good luck with that! So far you're still 3rd in the rankings from what I saw just recently.

Played easy version. I think having infinite air has improved the mood of the level.

Improve(graphical/asthetic):

1. On the checkpoints, I'd put the scuba gear INSIDE the checkpoint so it doesn't detract from the scenery. What you do is duplicate the block of material that's surrounding the checkpoint, but make it thin layer and glue it in front of the thick layer block. Then paste the scuba gear powerup in the thick layer block, underneath the checkpoint.

2. Bubble emitters are pointless since you can't take of scuba underwater. They probably just taking up thermo

Believe me, I was just being lazy when I added them there. I'll get to all those changes later on.

Gevurah/Donkey: Found a funny ''bug/glitch'' today
If you kill yourself before activating the check point at the start, you will spawn in that room before the 2nd chase scene. However, there is no water! Hehe

Fair enough, I'll just expand the sensor switch then.

2 problems,
1. You remember the FIRST place where the key shows us it's power? all fancy water effects and floating rocks being pushed upwards was gr8, but if I held my key, I kept getting crushed by it. Sure, I can leave my key, but it is a bit bothersome.

2. In the second chase scene,

a) I managed to swim out of the radius of the UNKTEHILA (wow it's fun to say AND type! nice word) spawn, both of them, so I was just going along ever so easily. The big one might have got stuck somewhere, but the small one didnt even start chasing me.

b) Once, when the small one wasn't chasing me ( I figured out the trick to escape it's trigger radius ), The big onew just poked it's head in the final door.......Only to break it's jaw portion and be stuck there, leaving the door open and I can't help but wonder if that gap is enough for the small one to come through?? Could it be possible to break the door and not the spawn?! That would be dangerous.

The small one actually dies if it gets that far. I've made sure it won't get past the final gate. But if you can get out of its radius, that's good for you! As for the first issue, well... it's either have those effects or not. I suppose I could use pistons to emulate that effect.2010-03-04 16:50:00

I played this a while ago. There's so many things I could point out but I'll just say the layer and depth effects were excellent but got frustrating. You really should decorate the bubbles.2010-03-05 12:23:00

Eh? Did you play the easy one or the normal version? I'm pretty sure I covered all the bubble emitters in the regular one. I'll check it out anyway and see what's up.

I know your thermo is full so you gotta get rid of something or do something else to decorate them. I'd gladly remove some bubbles and stuff to decorate them.. I didn't buy the "soul" thing at all. They're just bubbles. I will haunt you forever until you decorate them. I am the bubblenazi.2010-03-06 20:17:00

Ugh I HATE those owlfish! 1st playthrough the azure key got stuck and another for some reaosn wouldn't respawn at the first key emitter, 2nd time those fish wouldn't die from the azure key and they surround the checkpoint trapping me and forcing me to start over (edit I see duffluc had that same thing happen to him to, look at your level photos). Onto playthrough #3....*crosses fingers)

EDIT: Whew! The dragon chase scene threw me off and I went in a loop (didn't see the path to the right that led to the end of the level luckily the dragon slowed down and didn't follow me, so he dissappered when I backtracked) but Woot 3rd!, but I'm gonna keep practicing (maybe I'll even record a good run as proof) just incase I get knocked off of 3rd in the next few days

Update: Scratch that did a flawless wonderful run, it wasn't perfect (messed up on a couple combos and I still couldn't figure out a secret area) However I recorded it for proof, aced it AND got a better score. My new score is 12,500 and I move to 2nd place YEEHA!

I'm not going to make the video public till after the contest is over however I can make it private for you to see for yourself gevurah.

Hey gave it another run, found a new secret area, Got those combos I messed up on last time. And got a wonderful score of 13,940! just a little shy off 1st place! I didn't record it though but oh well

I did find one bad glitch though, its not too big of a deal, but it forces you to restart, if you try again early during the introduction you'll wind up in that 3 owlfish area (the one I mentioned before about getting trapped by them) with no water. At least I was able to get an idea on how they function lol, clever!

Nice one! As for how those things function, it's really simple in practice as it's much easier to create tracking objects of random sizes (like the last Unktehila in the final chase sequence) underwater thanks to buoyancy versus out of water that rely on much more.
