So, Avenged Sevenfold have announced that they have found a stand in drummer for this album, and that he was Jimmy's favourite drummer, so they felt they had to get him. And that drummer is... ...Mike Portnoy! Jesus, this could be epic. :O totally interesting lol just kidding, i just know one Dream theater song and one Avenged Sevenfold song and both are from Rock band 2 they are good i suppose and the drums in Panic attack rock so i guess congrats to Avenged sevenfold (trying to be friendly here but youre Mr.I-hate-valentine's day so dont know if it'll work...)

His drumming is more suited to prog, but i think he is doing it more because he was Jimmy's favourite drummer/main source of inspiration (drumming wise) so they asked him if he would do it as a tribute. Should be very interesting to see what happens though, he is very talented. And maybe we'll get some more long 'epics', DT style... They need more songs like MIA and Strength of the World...
