Iam just a little sick of it just been get so much hate and sh** all the time been get alot more this pass week, I treat others as I like to be treated myself but alot of the community on LBP are just well you know. Such is the nature of teh interwebs. The best thing to do is to ignore them. If you waste time debating or fighting that kind of person, that will simply encourage them to continue and waste your time. It takes very little effort to hit an ignore/delete button or move on to the next (hopefully more educated) post, and it's generally more beneficial. Thankfully there's very little of that here in LBPC.

Did someone spam your level or something? Sounds like it... Some folks that leave comments are horribly mean. I don't ever understand nor try to, but it seems they like to make statements to show they are superior. Sad to even waste the energy typing about them, but I can understand being frustrated if there are some of these players that are highly zealous in their typing ability.

Just keep in mind. Haters will speak louder then people that adore you. And i know thousands of players adore you and your work. Haters seem to stand out more... but they are just louder then your lovers! 1 hater will speak up, while 100 lovers will keep quiet.

If I see such comments it only makes me perceive the person as even lower than they already are. Actually low enough so I don't even have pity. Many humans are sorry and on the internet it shows our true loser / retarded / prehistorical mind state.

When your work is as good as it is jump_button your going to get people commenting out of jealousy. Take the comments for what they're worth, which is nothing. You have amazing work and are a wonderful contributor over here at ye olde LBPC. Let the haters hate, just don't take any of it to heart.

I saw the comments that were left on your Goty level and I reported them, hoping they will be deleted. I can't say I'm a fan of that level but when I went to read the comments I was shocked to see how personal they were and what they said. They really crossed the line, I'm glad you didn't lower yourself to their level and responded. As others have already said, try not to take it seriously, try to not let what those idiots said affect you.

Or they jsut care more about the GOTY levels, because they are considered part of the product. i.e x good griefs on a community level = instant removal, x on a MM level = proper investigation and swift, sensible response. I'd say it's a realistic way of looking at it. I remember the early days of the game when I'd see people spam comments on the story levels heh, I wonder if they still do that.

I agree... since they have no way of removing a level that's on your disc.... they have no choice but to remove the comments. Although I have a bit more balanced view of moderated levels nowadays after reading something MrsSpookyBuz wrote - the moderation issue may not be as big as it sounds. Some creators simply want to re-release for better ratings and delete the level... then "claim" moderation. Not saying it's all the time, but it does sound plausible.

Hmmm i get haters aswell but there mainly girls.....i dont know why as ive never done anything to spite anyone. People say its jealousy but jealous of what?! People like my levels and i love that. There are 2 certain people on the game who dislike me and have been spreading rumours about me that arent true, they also do things to spite me which isnt fair but i tend to ignore it. It does get to me and i do get upset/annoyed but i dont react. The best option is to ignore everything!

I seen some of that stuff on watermill valley last week and it's just not on. They took it way too far... You can ignore when they say you suck etc, but when they do it on such a personal level like with you, that's just terrible. They are jealous of you. Jump, your one, if not, thee best in the business here on lbp.

I think they should fix that though, i mean remove the Tags that say Ugly, Rubbish etc...because all levels in LBP especially yours jump dude DO NOT SUCK, as creator you would know making a level isnt easy, and you should treat people how you would like to be treated so i think MM should block comments that say Suck, blows etc and remove the Bad Tags you know, it would definetly make LBP a better place.

And I don't see how this is a giant victory, I mean I've reported nasty pictures and comments in the past and they were almost always deleted. I remember when russel had uploaded those horrid pictures on Ninja's levels, I reported each picture and within an hour they were all deleted. I've never really had a problem with Lbp's moderators, I think they've done a pretty good job with moderating. Where I think they could obviously improve on is the moderating of entire levels, I don't think the standards of what is acceptable and what isn't has been fully explained to them, I've seen some great levels moderated that I thought had nothing offensive.

If your getting hate then you know that your levels are good and people are getting jealous. I've only been 'lucky' enough to get hate on one of my levels, which was my 2026 Aerostation Project level and everyone else in the comments page tore the haters a new one. If anyones hating on you, just look at their levels and smugly smile to yourself, it's what I do

Ah Jump_button you have nothing to worry about. Getting slammed on the internet, especially when you're popular is a way of life. You are a good creator and have the respect of other good creators, what more can you ask for? A lot of people would be jealous about your work and the accolades you've received from it, and they're going to try to make themselves feel better about that by trying to bring you down. Best to just delete the comments and get on with your life. If anything, the haters should be a good indicator that you're doing things right

Unfortunately the jerks are a bit louder and more vocal, so you notice them more. I've said this before, but were I in your shoes, I think I'd be reacting in quite the same way. People forget that you are an actual person. They let their jealousy take control without taking time to pause and say to themselves "How would I feel if this were me in the GOTY Edition? How would it feel if I were the one getting hateful comments" I suppose if it keeps up I could go beat them up, although I doubt they'd be threatened by a wussy little girl like me.

You wouldn't say that sort of thing to someone's face because they'd probably punch you. But because the internet is mostly anonymous, people feel they can do/say whatever they want. It's really extremely sad.

The only reason why there's haters it's because the competition is afraid you'll outshine them. All great people in life have haters. Without them, you may find yourself over confident. I feel that haters are the reason behind those great people who push themselves further, trying to prove things haters believe is impossible. So don't get to mad/sad that you got haters. In fact, you might consider yourself honored that someone went to such lengths just to find something about you and even pay attention to you. Makes you feel special.
