The quest for beautyaustimerr
I just made a short level that is basically a platformer revolving around trying to get beautiful. The funny thing is I made everyone extremely ugly. I think its a good level with a funny ending. I would love if some people played it.

I though the level was pretty funny and fun loved how everyone called you ugly. It had some pretty good parts but one thing I think you need the fix is the temple. You can actually walk over the temple and bypass one of the best parts of you level I would suggest making the top a bit taller so you can not jump over. Overall I though it was a good level and I gave it 4 stars.2010-02-16 23:06:00

Hi Austimerr.

Blow by blow.

Spelling mistake on the first bubble 'YOUR' it should be 'YOU'RE' Simple layout, WEIRD and VERY UGLY characters.Spelling on YOUR again, (in fact there are quite a few here. I'll re write it for you: "Man you're ugly. There's a temple up ahead that can change your looks. Go there NOW, before I throw you."
Like the idea of the save point being dropped. Cool part jumping across the buildings. Urban jungle guy looks cool. Not wanting to give anything away, but temple part cool, feels the most polished part some how, (but you can see the workings if you climb the steps, just to the left.)

Heres a quote from your other game 'little level, lots of fun' that I think sums up your game Austimerr.

I made it simple just so I could get the level out quick. Thanks for playing my level!

After I finished the level I started working with the corner editing tool but it was after i published it and i was to lazy to fix it. I'm kind of lazy, thats probably why i play video games lol. Well thanks for looking at my level.

My point being, I felt this game was the same. You rushed it to get it published. Nice effort, just felt like it wasn't quite finished. Good idea for a story, mechanics all worked well, some funny use of stickers to create characters.

Not a great score (I gave you three stars) My advice is spend a little longer with the backgrounds, and overall look of the game, your platforming ideas and puzzles are good, but very basic to look at.

I played this several days ago - sorry it took me so long to get around to posting your feedback.

There's quite a few things I like about this level. The whole ugly-is-beautiful thing is an interesting idea - reminds me of the original Twilight Zone episode with the same concept. The characters you created are truly hideous, which is great! They are ugly in a Picasso/graffiti kind of way and I personally thought they are one of the best parts of the level. The urban jungle is my favorite section. It's nicely made and really looks and feels like a cartoony little city. There isn't much explanation why you need to go to (or through) a city to get to a temple, but hey I don't think your idea was to make this the deepest plotline ever. As with everybody else, I liked the dropping checkpoint puzzle/obstacle and I thought the idea of the "mirror" was nicely implemented - except that there's a visible magnetic key on it.

This level does have its problems. Except for the city section it's pretty plain and could use a bit more corner editing work. I also would have liked a little more audio, both music and sound effects for various events. When you get the key out of the bedroom it's really not too apparent that the door opens - you just have to assume it did. My least favorite part has to be the platforming bit over the two cars. The "push" block is too hard to move and the grabbable floor makes the situation worse. It's a pain to get the first car where you need it to be, and jumping from one car to the next is awkward. My last complaint is that the level is a little short, but overall it's a complete experience and enjoyable.

I ended up giving you 3 stars (worth playing) instead of 4 just because it's a little too plain and a little too quiet. I like the direction you're headed with your creating though, and I'd love to see more.
