How to use the 3D layer glitch - video tutorial!

Archive: 17 posts

Hiya,
It's been a while but Adi and Luos are back with another tutorial!

Today we are tackling the 3D layer glitch

Video Tutorial (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VYRGeojQMr4)

This video is accompanied by a pair of levels containing the existing 3D layer tools - AND some new ones that I made to help you place objects accurately into the back/foreground. I've found it hard in the past to find one place with all the tools together - so I've made one. The video explains how to use the 3D tools, and explains how to put objects into the background layers.

Search for @TheAdipose to find the pair of levels. Complete the first to unlock the copyable level.

We should have another tutorial for you detailing character creation by the end of the week.

Great video and very helpful. I've been struggling for ages to work out how to emit objects into the back layer and to actually see it done is much easier for me to understand than loads of text.

I'll have to play your levels asap.

Thanks.

Great tutorial! I was impressed not only with the content, but you're a good speaker as well. Now I need to give this a try. Oh, and I'm guessing you're a Beatles fan 2010-02-18 12:59:00

Thank you for a very easy to understand and straight to the point tutorial, the process is a lot easier to understand once viewed.
Also a big up's for the excellent added tools that cuts the guess work out of knowing exactly how many layers back you are going, which I think has been one of the major reasons people have not been getting the desired results that they might of envisioned with using this glitch previously, or has been a major reason why they have not persisted with using the glitch.

Thanks very much for this video tutorial!

Teebonsey's guide is great but I needed a visual help to understand better the emitting process!
So this is exactly what I was looking for!

Thanks for this great video tutorial! Now I can decorate my level although the accessible layers are occupied by my contraption!
And I agree with Powershift, you do have a pleasing tutorial voice, even with a sense of humour! Very pleasant to watch.

All of your tutorials are well done with great information. This one was particularly helpful, especially with the wonderful layer blocks. Makes pushing to the glitch layers a breeze!

Off topic, I loved the low therm perm switch from the logic tutorial as well.
