MORE New Switch Ideas
Archive: 9 posts
Hi there, it's Will from the PoD CREW in the Suggestions! You see, we thought to our selves, brainstormed, and thought of new switches that may enhance the activity of our levels and others whom seek more. This is what we were left with! Solar Panel: This switch looks and behaves just like an actual Solar Panel, it reacts with light! When a Solar Panel is within proximity of light, it will activiate anything it is wired to! It is even sensitive to laser beams! In the Solar Panel tweak menu, you'll find an option that is like the 'Speed' control modification, instead its called 'Brightness' where depending on how intense the lighting is; the more intense the wired object will react! Just like the 'Speed' control modification on a Sensor Switch, the faster the Sackperson enters the proximity of the Sensor Switch, the more intense the wired object will react. Hazard Reactive Switch: A basic switch that will activate anything it is wired to upon exposure to a hazard (fire, gas, and high currents of electricity). Scale: Like any ordinary Scale used to weigh out vegetables at the supermarket, gold bars at the US Treasury, or obese folks at the clinic; it reacts under pressure. Same for this handy new switch! It will react more for heavier materials such as metal and of course, more objects= more weight= more pressure! The Scale is also momentum sensitive (define momentum somewhere else if you are not sure), so when jumped on, pressure is formed for a split second and then retracts to standard pressure of unit weight directed on the Scale. Like any other switch, it will activate anything it is wired to. When the pressure needed is direct on theScale, it will activate. You can alter the needed pressure in tweak menu. Well, that's all we could think of! Tell us what you think! | 2010-02-15 05:06:00 Author: PoD CREW Posts: 268 |
Yes, yes, and yes. :hero: All three ideas can be duplicated in a way, but some switches would be very nice! | 2010-02-15 05:09:00 Author: warlord_evil Posts: 4193 |
Solar Panel sounds like it would be the easiest to implement, followed by the HRS and the Scale. Of course, all of these effects you've described can be replicated (or at least mimicked) by magnetic keys and logic know-how - but I'd still like that light switch. | 2010-02-15 05:13:00 Author: SLS10 Posts: 1129 |
can be replicated (or at least mimicked) by magnetic keys and logic know-how. I know, we do this all the time. Though it would be more convenient with other switches. | 2010-02-15 05:18:00 Author: PoD CREW Posts: 268 |
I don't think I would use the last 2 but I definitely want the solar switch, actually come to think of it why didn't I post my own suggestion for a solar switch? oh well. How about an electrical switch, activated by electricity of all things. This of course would require some sort of DLC. | 2010-02-15 09:04:00 Author: SR20DETDOG Posts: 2431 |
Great ideas, we could also do with an Impact switch (reacts upon hitting something, like you can set sounds to do), A Slap Switch (reacts when slapped by sackboy eg. put it on a cardboard guy and slap him and he dies!), A Motion detector (not like the one that senses when sackboy is near, only senses when sackboy/objects in radius are MOVING) | 2010-02-15 12:03:00 Author: Matimoo Posts: 1027 |
The weight switch can be made with a speed key switch and a spring. | 2010-02-17 04:07:00 Author: Unknown User |
If you think about it, it is possible to make all of these switches, and i actually did yesterday, all you need is the magnetic key switch, but still these would be usefull. | 2010-02-17 16:57:00 Author: Unknown User |
I think this is why they didn't add them, because if you can easily create stuff like that then you can also customize to your exact need. | 2010-02-18 07:34:00 Author: RCIX Posts: 250 |
