It sets place in an alternate universe where there was no war, so there was no need for things such as guns, nukes, etc. You lived a happy life with your parents when an evil entity appears. (We'll call him Shadow King for now) The Shadow King created many monsters that he sent out to terrorize the world. In fear of being completely wiped out by the Shadow King, some people from your village (including your father) try to take on the Shadow King, but get killed. Although the sack people are too weak to kill the king himself, they can take down his creatures. At the age of 16, children are trained and given a pass to hunt the creatures. The first level will take place the day you turn 16. The other levels will lead up to you destroying the Shadow King. Should I go along with it? Does it sound cliche? (Other than the name Shadow King, which I plan on changing)

Pretty good . I think it should be where every level, time advances by a year or 10. And the last part of the last level is you dieing as an old man. That would be cool :3
