Slider Settings...

Archive: 6 posts

I did a quick search for "slider settings" and came up with nothing pertaining to my issue, so here we go!

We all know that by using the d-pad you can go forward or backward a "notch" on slider settings (for what I need, the modifier on sound objects), and by using the analog you can go in between those "notches", though in a manner decidedly not precise.

What I want to know is, is there some way to go a perfect "half step"? I've ran into an issue when it comes to a project of mine where I need those perfect inbetweens, and trying to do it with the analog stick is way more frustrating then it is productive.

Thanks for your time!

The analog puts the toggle up on notch so it goes 1234567
the dpad goes up a few i think its 5 so 1 6 11 etc

thats all you can do

Well darn. Oh well, worth a shot asking anyway.

Huh, I wasn't aware it worked in that fashion. I always though it was just simply the stops the dpad would give you and then the analog was merely like a smooth cross fader. I guess in a way it still is, but knowing its also in increments gives me some hope that I might get it right if I stay persistent with it.

Thanks for the responses!

Maybe you could use the d-pad between two points and mark where those points are on a piece of tracing paper over your TV screen, then it's just a matter of moving the slider with the analog stick between the two marks you've made. Be careful if you do this though, don't want to end up damaging your TV or anything.2010-02-13 16:42:00

@Ayneh
Not a bad idea actually. The TV I play on is a massive crt screen that has a glass screen, so it wouldn't damage anything at all. I might get very odd looks from the parents, but thats no worry. Thanks for the idea!
