Hey! Have you played FF11? I did for 4 years. 4 jobs to level 75. Square posted pics and said FF 14 is out in 2010 and is going to be another MMO. Anyone else looking forward to this?

I'll try it most likely. I never tried ff11 but I've been a long time fan of the series and will probably try ff14. Right now i just can't wait till march 9th!

Oh yes! Awesome game this FF XI. I played almost only this game during near two years. For me, FF XIII will be only a "game to wait" FFXIV.

Played FF11 for 6 years and quit recently; felt like quitting a drug but I don't regret it at all given how tired of it I was. That said, I'll probably not play 14 unless the gameplay is seriously overhauled to address the issues that XI had.

well one thing i read about was that it could satisfy people who could only play 30 mins at a time, no more playing for hours just to gain half a level

I really want to try it but I've only heard bad news so far. Apparently the gameplay's a little stale and not very immersive, but i can't imagine whoever said that gave it much of a chance.

Well, there was quite a lot of alpha gameplay screens and footage leaked that soured a few people. I'd imagine if you'd seen footage of the alpha build to compare to beta you'd notice a difference. We've only just seen the new battle system at E3 as well as a graphics upgrade as the dev team prepare for beta testing. All I can say is to keep an open mind and keep your speculation in check(This sentence is geared more toward those reading and not you specifically, Dex).

watching some 2010 gameplay, demonstrating the speedier fighting, good never was a fan of action gauges or turn base(edit: well there is a gauge but its more of a short cool down), even though this is just early alpha the scenery looks amazing and the enemies look great. EDIT: First thing when i get this game im making a lalafel XD awesome little things.

I am very, VERY looking forward to this. I never played XI, but I sure did play XII, which ok, it isnt online, but it has the same art director. That is enough for me; the landscapes and everything of XII were plain inspiring!
