Yet another rumor about LBP 2. Do you guys think that a new LBP game's gonna come this soon?

Yes, I suspect a lobby that holds hundreds of sack people just running around. City type. Kinda llike PS home. Why do i think this? They once posted a job on this site asking for people who knew about MMOs. Massive Multiplayer Online. Why would MM need someone with MMO background?2010-02-12 19:01:00

If they do, it better be able to use costumes/levels/dlc/objects from the original

This may never happen, but if it did, I'd like to see full 3D (like 20 layers sackboy can use or something) and up to 10 people in a play party

I thought we had al decided as well as MM that they would just do DLC instead of making a sequel. If there making a sequel tyhen the DLC coming out would be a lot less frequen. Plus this has already been posted.2010-02-12 19:53:00

Mm said in an interview a while back that they treated LBP as an MMO, constantly updating the game and listening to it's community. But still, an LBP MMO is my dream.

Quote from LittleBigPlanet Wikipedia article:
"In November 2009 level designer Danny Leaver dismissed a sequel saying that it would fragment the LBP community. "We’d never want to do that. That’d be the most counter-productive thing you could do I think."

However, maybe there will be something like an expansion pack? :3

Actually LBP is like an MMO in the means there's million of people profile to manage / update / fix / databases stuff, etc. Someone with an MMO background clearly is used to that. The fact players connect at the same time or not is quite irrelevant really because it's not a network guy they asked for.

eventually LBP will reach the limits of its current iteration.
when that time comes, surely a successor will be released.
however, there is no way to know how long it will be.

There will probably be a sequel at some point, but I personally think their next project will be a spiritual sequel to LBP. It will be a new play, create, share game that can exist alongside LBP and perhaps bring in a new audience that likes the idea of LBP, but don't like the core gameplay or style of it and also LBP fans that are always on the lookout for a new creative outlet like LBP but also don't want to abandon LBP. 2010-02-13 03:03:00
