- There are no premade bosses in the beta, as there are only the first 3 levels in.

- You can give any objects that you make away as prices, so you can also give away a boss. I haven't tried it yet though, but I think you just have to capture it as object with a specific tool and then set it as price.

- About the AI: So there are brains, protected and unprotected. If a brain is unprotected the boss/enemy will disappear when you jump on it. Those brains have different settings..
- follow/ignore/flee from sackboy
- you can set a radius to set the range in which the enemy will notice
sackboy.
- you can make the object the brain is attached to jump in different
intervals.
There are also wheels and legs made specifically for enemys.

Now one could think the AI would be limited to that, but a boss or enemy
can basically be anything you want. It seems some people are thinking that
those are specific "enemy" or "boss" objects that you can make with
specific tools, but that is wrong. They are made with the exact same set of
tools and don't really differ from other custom made objects. That means
you can use switches/sensors and all the machanics to make your AI as you
want it to be.
One of the main parts of AI in other games is that they sense something and
do something else according to what they sensed. And you can basically
make it like that too.

Hope that helped. I am not sitting next to LBP right now so I might have forgotten something though.

There aren't any pre made bosses in the beta, as there's only 3 levels, which act as tuturials, with ghosts as the only danger, and they aren't even enemies.

The AI can do different things, for example ;

The AI options are either "Flee, Follow, or Ignore". You can also make the enemy vulnerable to things (The danger tools), so that can kill them instead.

You can set jump sequences, by choosing how often they jump, and how high etc.

You can also choose their speed.

About the prizes ;

Anything you make in LBP can be given as a prize (including levels, if you give them a key ) so, yeah, all you have to do is use the "capture item" tool, and it'll appear in your popit, for further use, or sending to a freind, or whatever takes your fancy.

I now understand so much more, I didn't think making a boss would be so easy, they actually made specific tools for boss-making??? Good ol' Media Molecule.2008-09-29 16:45:00

One extra thing: I think there is a sensor object which can be placed down to make enemies turn around when they reach it.2008-09-30 01:03:00

EDIT: found a YouTube - LittleBigPlanet Boss Battle.

In the G4 special (see the Media forum) one of the developers was working on a spider boss. Not sure if that was for the game or just an extra level.

Has anyone seen news or videos that the game will have actual boss battles in story mode? To that effect, is there a comprehensive storyline other than the game existing in our dreams?
