I wasn't able to create the teleporter that's used on the PS3, but the new update allowed me to create something similar. Check it out! | 2010-02-12 08:37:00 Author: rimmonhouse Posts: 15 |
I would love if you told us how you did this. | 2010-02-12 22:36:00 Author: tominater12 Posts: 87 |
It looks like it works like this: The proximity switch that activates the electrified material emitter also activates an emitter that emits a checkpoint. The checkpoint slides down the slope inside the wooden box and the player respawns from the checkpoint when it appears at the bottom. The whole system is very cleverly timed so that the player respawns a fraction of a second before the checkpoint expires and disappears. | 2010-02-12 22:42:00 Author: SalieriAAX Posts: 421 |
Sorry, I thought I had made the level copyable...I'll republish it later, but it sounds like you guys have pretty much figured it out. | 2010-02-12 23:04:00 Author: rimmonhouse Posts: 15 |
This sounds great - I'll have to check it out. I've never really messed with transporter mechanics but it sounds pretty useful. | 2010-02-14 17:59:00 Author: Taffey Posts: 3187 |

Wouldn't it be nice to be able to activate a checkpoint with a switch? | 2010-02-14 18:13:00 Author: SalieriAAX Posts: 421 |
No! Old school teleports only! | 2010-02-14 18:14:00 Author: Kern Posts: 5078 |
