Quote from a YT video: Easy way to get just the water for free: If you know a friend who bought the Water Pack, go to their pod with them. Ask them to play the first level of the water pack with you. When they begin playing it, the first item you get will be the Water Tool. There is no I-have-not-bought-this protection for it, so you can use it in all your levels. But anything else (Costumes, items, stickers, objects) will say "You have not bought this pack" when you go to equip them. There you go, I have it too. Is this true?

The tool you get in the first level is just the water switch (it signals if it's under water). I can't say if it's true, but it wouldn't be so bad. It's useless, except for making your objects usable by others in a water level.

Emogotsaone, both those statements are completely wrong and it's really getting annoying for you to comment the skimpiest sentences on any thread you want, without fully reading the thread, or having any idea what you're talking about... MM makes mistakes. (A lot.) Copyable levels that have DLC you don't own in them will automatically put you in play mode if you copy them and try to edit them. lol... As for the thread, it might not be too far-fetched. I've heard about it happening before.

The only thing water related you can get for free. Is Online Create with someone who does have it. Then when you go to your moon, you can add water in the lighting settings but thats it. You can't get anything else, no water tools, bubbles or Scuba. I remember this happened When I online create with someone who had it early (the day it came out since Europe and asia got it early). But they could've fixed this idk

I'm sorry if it's a mean thing to say, but you should really limit yourself to commenting when you know what you're talking about and having something useful to add. I always figured that it just wouldn't let you copy them. That's cool, though: very nice of Mm to allow that.

I'm sorry if it's a mean thing to say, but you should really limit yourself to commenting when you know what you're talking about and having something useful to add. I didn't know that. I always figured that it just wouldn't let you copy them. That's cool, though: very nice of Mm to allow that. Kind of harsh, but I think you made the point clear. As for Mm being "nice for allowing that", I think it's a problem. It's getting something for free in other words. Like if my friend wants to make a level with a paintanator, but doesn't want to buy it, I can just make a level and let him edit it. Sure it's friendly, but in the same time wrong. Wrong because if you're like (I'm not saying you are) those desperate people who say "FREE DLC (Heart Me For More)", then it's something Mm should consider patching up.

You can't actually GET the dlc, though. It's just levels that have it. Everybody can play those and that's how Mm wanted it. I don't think it does any harm to let you d/l a level to your moon with dlc in it. You can't edit/publish it: just play it, which is what you can do when you play the levels online.

Yeah, when the water stuff first came out I played a level which gave a jet ski as a prize which had a water switch on it. I didn't have the pack at the time but by just popping the prize into create mode you could have and edit water by tweaking the switch.

On the global settings page in the Tool Bag, you can change the water level, etc., I think you might be able to have water without the DLC, you just can't have any of the switches that come with it. I could be wrong... Most likely I'm wrong...

Yes it does work. My friend didn't have it ages ago and i came up with an idea to get them free water (which was this) and it worked they got free water! But just buy the pack anyway it's better to have the switches and stuff.

I used a water template to get water for a project I'm working on. I just need that one tool to tweak the levels. Anyone that has PotC wanna help me get it and see if it works? I still plan on getting the pack in the future, but I can't atm.

Will I get a second pack free for the low low price of only $19.95? Seriously, calm down. I just got my PS3 two weeks ago and I didn't buy any PSN cards with it. And I doubt my parents will lend me a credit card because someone on the internet wants me to buy something. Next time i'm near Best Buy I'll pick up a card. I see quite a few DLC items I like.
