getting an Xbox360, because honestly i miss playing games with my friends. Also the one game i can honestly say i love more then most others Gear of War. (Love that game!) Any suggestions on where i could pick up a cheap system?

Cheap systems are either used (GameStop, Game Crazy, EB Games, etc.) or traded/sold in stores (Pawn Shops). For new models, they're pretty much expensive.

Forget new models; I'd get a refurbished one (from Gamestop/EB Games/etc.), since they're much more reliable and are much cheaper. Either that or get an Arcade, THEN buy a hard-drive (360 hard-drives are exchangable).

sounds good to me how much do you think that would run me? i saw a console with controller for 130. Now with live(year) and a hard drive i'd be at what ?

130 (console and controller) + 60 (yearly subscription for XBL) = 190 dollars. now for the hard drive, the price depends on the size. apparantly a 120GB HDD is 149,99$ that's a good 340,00$

dang, man i wish my parents had gotten me an xbox instead of a wii, i never play that, Okkkkay so i got my xbox and i can't connect to the internet, i'm trying to do that thing where you plug the ethernet cable into your computer and it uses that as a wireless connection. (My computer is running off a wireless connection) what am i doing wrong?

don't think you can do that, the only possibility is wired OR a special "switch" so you can use wireless for it. this one: http://www.xbox.com/en-US/hardware/x/xbox360wirelessnnetadapter/

yep like oldage says you need the wireless adapter which plugs into the back of xbox (it clips into the back and the ethernet plug connects to ethernet port on back) then just enter the normalish things of wep or wpa key and your sorted.
