Look what they got!

Archive: 12 posts

Hey there, its Me. Just wanna say, look at what the Parsons students got for the 24hour design jam! Not ONLY did the get to play LBP and test its limits, but look what else they got!

Kareem and I just got back from New York City where we had been taking part in a really cool event at Parsons New School for Design last weekend. We gave 150 students, split into 19 teams, a PS3 with a copy of LittleBigPlanet, a truck-load of pizzas, an industrial sized vat of Red Bull and 24 hours to create whatever they liked using the game. One thousand bucks was up for grabs for the winning team, with five runners up prizes of $500.

I would KILL for those 24 hours = .

(*Snickers.* Great line.) I think he'd just injure for that part.

As for the project itself, I think it'd be cool to undertake. BUT! Once the game comes out and the multiple-people-creating-level-simultaneously patch is out, we the community need to host something like the same. Get some four, five-man (or woman, depending) or so teams organized, and give them twenty-four hours to get cracking. (To make sure some teams don't get planning head starts as others sign up, make sure there's no time wasted between teams signing up and the contest getting underway.) At the end of the time limit, put the levels to a vote, and viola. (Yes, the instrument.) Prizes could be gold or elite accounts, perhaps, or just other of type LBPC boons. It'd be great!

It's a nice idea, but I think giving away elite or gold status would get too many, too quickly.

Elite status is supposed to show you're a like cream of the crop post whore

Lies of lies.

I've got ~350 posts (to lazy to check), and almost 1200 points, and I'm going to try to get Elite.
I don't have that many posts.
