Underwater Currents

Archive: 17 posts

Is there a way to make them? Like, if you go underwater and into one particular crevice, it shoots you further along into the level much faster than swimming?

Because if there is a way to do it, boy would that be a wonderful thing to use...it would really help the tension in a level, to say the least.

By emitting a shrunken down piece of glass creates wind outside of the water so maybe a mixture of glass and metal shrunk down to invisible sizes?2010-02-09 17:03:00

Like Kernel M said I suggest you shrink something down so its invisible and then emmit it. If your emmiting really fast then you wont have to worry to much about boyanccy (god I cant spell that word to save my life). Alternitavly you can put some invisible material on a piston and move it across the level at which ever speed you want it.2010-02-09 17:40:00

no, by attaching a knife to a piston it does something that attracts little sacky towards it... i think Mdaj uses it...2010-02-09 19:36:00

I've never heard of this....but wouldn't that pull sackboy DOWN with the piston instead of up?2010-02-09 22:54:00

Buoyancy Safari did mine!

I have googly chrome and the correction options came up with nothing

The invisible knife glitch probably wouldn't work as it only sucks or pushes so far (which isn't very far). Also you have to make loads of them stacked on each other so that the whole area is affected by them, plus you have to hide them.

For the knife glitch you have to put a knife on a piston going at 0.1 speed. If the stabby end is going in the direction of sacky then it will suck (i mean like drink your coke suck ) if its the opposite way round then it pushes. Though as I said, it isn't a very good method and is a bit tempremental in my experience.

if you put it on the side behind a wall, it will attract sack towards it. it works but i don't know if it looks like a current.

and for some unknown reason, no, the knife does not kill sackboy.
you can also do it with the teacup.

search for it on community levels. there are levels with tutorials telling you how to do it.

if you want an example of the glitch, go on Maxed Out 3 by Qugz. it was a section which uses the glitch.

hope this helped!

Kiminski did a very effective water current effect in the beta. I assumed at the time that she was emitting pieces of something invisible, but I couldn't say for sure2010-02-11 01:00:00

So does it make waves? They should add that in a creator pack, a wave/tsunami tool...2010-02-11 01:04:00
