Ability to take square photos!
Archive: 6 posts
Have you ever made your own level icon in create mode using the in-game photo capture? When the icon is created, it is squeezed into the circular icon space, as the photo taken is rectangular! It would be awesome if you could change the shape of the viewfinder, as you can with the PS eye, to avoid this problem (albeit a small one)! Has anyone been annoyed by this before, and thinks this would be a good feature? | 2010-02-08 12:59:00 Author: Rhys125 Posts: 841 |
There is a workaround for level icons. It's something along the lines of: Take photo Stick on the bottom edge of a piece of rubber (so it curves around underneath) stretch out the rubber so the entire picture is on the front Your picture will now be stretched horizontally take another photo of the pre-stretched image and use that for the level icon. My in-game avatar uses this method so my sackboy doesn't have a squished head. It would be a nice feature to have properly supported though | 2010-02-08 13:07:00 Author: rtm223 Posts: 6497 |
This is just another one of those things that should have been worked into the game. As you said not a huge problem but would be nice. | 2010-02-09 08:51:00 Author: SR20DETDOG Posts: 2431 |
Not only could we make stickers of any size (to a limit of course) we should be able to make it any shape (much like how you select the area in which a camera is activated) and be able to rotate is too, maybe with a click of the R3 button and you could switch between options... | 2010-02-10 14:33:00 Author: FuzzballFox Posts: 217 |
i had a sticker of someone's face on my costume one time. the game froze for 30 seconds, and when i re-spawned in my pod, the picture magically turned into color and magically changed its size to a perfect square-ish thing. not only could i see the face which was once the only thing i could see before, not i could see all the people around that person, and that it was taken off a PC. scary, yea? | 2010-02-10 16:25:00 Author: Voodeedoo Posts: 724 |
Killa jmba found a way around this, I'll ask him to post it. He showed me how, but wasn't paying much attention. If you know him ask him. He would be happy to show you! | 2010-02-10 16:32:00 Author: fijski8 Posts: 159 |
