Suggestion for Community Spotlights

Archive: 9 posts

Would it be possible, perhaps, for someone involved in the CS series to create a CommunitySpotlight PSNID, and heart each issue's spotlighted levels? It's a bit frustrating to be running back and forth from my bedroom to the PS3 (even if it's good exercise). I'd even be willing to do this, if the CS team would like to give me a heads-up before they publish.2010-02-08 03:37:00

I've tried it but the old levels keep dropping off since I can only have about 10 pages of hearted levels at a time. If you just go to my psn and check my hearted list most if not all of the spotlight levels are there.2010-02-08 03:40:00

I figure I'd just create sequential PSNIDs--CommunitySpotlight32, 33, etc...2010-02-08 08:29:00

Only problem with that is each PS3 can only have 5 accounts on it. I have three for personal use so it's not really an option.2010-02-08 08:38:00

While you're on the subject I have another suggestion for community spotlights.

How about having a separate community spotlight list for levels that are easier and therefore more FUN to play. It just seems that every spotlight that comes along now features harder and harder levels all the time. I'm guessing that's because the judges play so many levels they just breeze through them whereas players like me, although I can complete some of the hardest levels out there, don't really enjoy them as I spend most of my time creating and just play levels for a break or inspiration now and again.

It would be nice to have a few levels spotlighted that aren't incredibly frustrating because the creator has put some really evil traps in and cheap deaths ( sackula and aqueduct spring to mind immediately and of course any level by captaincowboy hat ). A few fun levels would be nice occasionally and it would be good to have them on a separate list or maybe just split the spotlight into 2 categories so I don't have to play the evil hardcore ones before I find the good ones.

@ Mr Vista - When I comment on a level I try and include some mention of difficulty or if beginners or moderate players will enjoy it. I'll usually say something like, fun for all ages and abilities or I'll literally say moderate platforming/challenge in the write up. I'll try and make those more clear if you guys think it will help. As for separating them into sections, I can try but we usually just write them up as we find them.2010-02-08 19:46:00
