Next Stop, Big CityDrunkenFist_Lee/DrunkenFist_Lee
http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=11977Hi there! Please check out my newest "Next Stop, Big City" ! There's lots of hidden content. One hidden easter egg triggers a chain of events. Just remember; if you didn't see a crashed UFO and a dead alien, then you haven't done everything...

So far 2010 has marked the return for a lot of respected creators, Drunkenfist_Lee is one of those and with his latest level, Next stop-big city, he proves that he hasn't lost his touch and delivers what is, in my opinion, his best work yet. The visually impressive setting he created is filled with quirky and often hilarious characters who give you various tasks to complete. The gameplay is varied, well executed and most importantly a lot of fun. I could not praise his sense of humor more, literally had to pause the game because I couldn't stop laughing at one particular line. A must play for so many reasons!!Give this guy his own late night talk show! The sense of humor on display here is unbelievably funny and should no be missed by anyone. The cutest use of the 3D/bakscratch glitch I've seen as well. You won't forget the characters, wacky plot or easter egg styled secret scenes any time soon. See what tens of thousands of players already know - this IS a cool level!Probably more than anything else in Little Big Planet, and the real Planet for that matter, I like a good laugh. This was no doubt the reason I had so much fun in this level as it really is an excuse for Drunkenfist_Lee to let his hair down and to entertain the masses. What begins as an innocent bus ride turns sharply turns into one of the funniest, and down right mad cap levels in LBP. Filled to the brim with laugh of loud moments, great visuals, and some fantastic little mini games, its well deserving of all the praise it has received so far.Fireball IslandThegide/Thegide
http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4064/4272141270_9464fae66b.jpgFireball Island is my 4th major level and my first in over nine months. The concept for this level is based off of the 1986 board game by Milton Bradley. The tagline for the board game is "The dimensional adventure game of pitfalls and perils!" It is set on an unexplored tropical island, the home of the primitive idol Vul-Kar. Players progress along winding paths around the island, avoiding fireballs and trying to capture Vul-Kar's jewel and carry it to the escape boat.

That's right, another prodigal son returns to the world of LBP!! Thegide is back and he invites us to visit Fireball Island! Your quest/race for the Vul'Kar ruby is filled with diversity, ranging from physics based platforming to brainteasing puzzles, all set on a beautifully rendered yet dangerous tropical island. Great visuals accompanied by great gameplay making it an excellent adventure all around. Hope the sequel doesn't take too long!!As soon as I laid eyes on the superb title screen I knew I was going to love this. Very much an action adventure in the matinee style of Indiana Jones, this level sees you doing everything you'd expect to do when trying to capture jewels from a tropical island. And quite a few things you wouldn't expect too...Meeting the natives is worth the trip alone to Fireball Island. Great character design paired with great gameplay make this one a really well rounded level. Fun platforming and puzzles and a spectacular boss make it shine. Love the warm tropical feeling but the heat gets turned up as you progress so stay on your toes. This level is very much like a board game; it’s fun with friends, you can play it over and over and it has some amazing visuals. What, Snakes and ladders has great visuals, no? All jokes aside, TheGide has produced a quality level here that you should check out, for the gameplay, for the platforming and for the excellent puzzles too. Don’t miss out on the return of TheGide! This level is packed full of perplexing puzzle and perilous platforming goodness. Go meet the excellent natives and make you're through a beautiful tropical island to fight what can only be described as an awesome boss. I've never played the board game this is based, but its half as much as this level then I'll have to check it out.The Strange Adventures of Dr. Nocte Chapter 1: The Broken TimeThorduck/Duckywolf
http://i267.photobucket.com/albums/ii317/tlalocine/Nocte%201%20y%202/Unafoto_54.jpgWelcome to this new deep story tale.
I've been working for about five months on this project and are finally ready the first two chapters.

A lot of love and passion went into the making of this new series by creator Thorduck. For one, he is a master of storytelling and player immersion as he slowly but surely makes you one with the main character through the course of this first chapter. The graphics and visual style are something to behold and the dramatic lighting, camera angles and characters are in a league of their own. Personally, I think this series has that special personal stamp that you rarely see in the world of LBP. Highly recommended!!People often use the phrase 'story level' when a they have to read two or three speech bubbles in a row. Thorduck shows what a real story level is here as he slowly weaves a tale using superbly directed cutscenes with gorgeous environments and characters. One to follow for sure.A slowly unfolding story of tragedy and loss with the hope of redemption isn't your typical LBP fare but the story is compelling and well told in this level. Great intro and title screens and some cool special effects lighting too. For story level fans this one is going to be a heck of a tale if this is any indication. Here’s one of the quirkier levels of the spotlight, but the visuals work beautifully and add real depth to this level. But of course the heart of this level is in the intricate story, carefully pieced together by Thorduck just for you. So do the creator and yourself a favour by playing this one. A great intro, some great set pieces and a one of the best storys in LBP propel you through a tale of of tradgedy and one sackboys quest to put it all right. A wonderful level that sets the scene perfectly for part 2. The Strange Adventures of Dr. Nocte Chapter 2:An Unborn ChildThorduck/Duckywolf
http://i267.photobucket.com/albums/ii317/tlalocine/Nocte%201%20y%202/Tosco.jpgIn this second chapter of the series, Nocte must find a bubble of time. Just so he can pursue their goals. Although Nocte has successfully ridden, his luck led him to a distant land in a more distant time.

The 2nd chapter in the Dr. Nocte series focuses more on challenging gameplay complemented by brainteasing puzzles. The visuals are top notch once more and Thorduck’s graphic interpretation of Egypt is something to behold as it oozes with atmosphere. A great sequel to the original and a series I’m keeping a close eye on. Very good stuff. The platforming is as hard in this sequel a the story was deep in the first level of this series. Make your way through some darn hard obstacles and twisting turning paths that lead to either other rooms or certain death. Very challenging to complete as many of the puzzles aren't intuitive and require some extra brain power and tinkering to figure out. Players who enjoy a little puzzle with their platforming will love it.A second spotlight for Thorduck this episode and this one is very well deserved. The platforming is eccentric and is complimented beautifully by the slower pace of the puzzles displayed here. Chapter 1 was a deep story level and this one has moved the series in a different, but equally amazing, direction. The second part of this wonderful series takes us to ancient Egypt and tasks us with making our way through a pyramid under construction. The puzzles here are some of the best I've scene, and the visuals and special effects, like the first level above are second to none. I can't wait to see what part 3 has in store for us. The AqueductDuffluc/Duffluc
http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d43/duffluc/APhoto_5-1.jpgSackboy has been discarded to what seems to be the most dangerous sewage processing plant on the planet! Help him find his way out and hind a new master to care for him! This is my take on a water level. I tried to strike a balance between water and traditional platforming, as I've found that many levels focus on water and water alone.

With the Aqueduct, creator Duffluc takes some familiar game play elements and gives them a little spin, some with and some without the aid of water and in my opinion, it holds an excellent balance between traditional and water based game play. As you venture through this waste facility the level gradually builds up speed leading to an exciting and rewarding climax. I was especially impressed with the boiling water element in this one, very inventive. Well balanced traditional platofming combined with cool water areas are the strength of this level. Moderately challenging but always exciting make your way through some well designed challenges to end the level in explosive fashion. Really nice and subtle lighting keep it moody and cool. Some of the nicest water platforming I've played too.One of the few levels to take Sackboy for what he really is (a small toy in a big world), The Aqueduct sees you dumped by your owner after being damaged. This leaves you alone and fighting for survival. There aren't many creators that can capture the isolated and in oeril feeling like Duffluc has with this level. Far darker than the premise might suggest. And all the better for it.Its a rare, if not unique premise to a level when you actually play as Sackboy should be, and not a secret agent or a spaceman etc. Thrown into the trash, you must make your way through some great platforming and fantastic set pieces to escape and find a new owner. Its a wonderful level that perfectly showcases the use of water, and this creators talent for producing wonderful and encapsulating levels.*-*Attack of the BORG*-* "Part 5: The Human Invader!" AJnKnox/AJnKnoxhttp://i678.photobucket.com/albums/vv147/ajnknoxville/ATOB5-1.jpgYou are now on the BORG vessel trying to free your captive crew mates. Who knows what danger and surprises await you! There are 8 listed secrets and 3 bonus secrets to find which give you extra points. *Platforming, Puzzles and just a hint of humour!*

Another chapter of the exciting Borg series has arrived!! I went in expecting a lot and AJnKnox did not let me down. This level is amazing once more and its puzzles and game play mechanics well thought out and brilliantly executed. The bright and colorful visuals on the Borg ship are very impressive , just don’t stare at them in awe for too long as you might get lost if you don’t pay close attention! A worthy addition to the Borg series with a nice build up for the inevitable sequel.More first class platforming out of AJnKnox in the continuation of his Borg series. It's no secret I love his work and players who are up to the platforming challenge will understand why. Inventive and thoughtful layouts make jumping, jetpacking and holding on for dear life exciting and fun. I love his lighting in this one especially. Great colour blending and pops of vibrant neon colours make the Borg ship look awesome. Hints of Grant's patented criss cross level set up are evident here too so pay attention to where you are and where you need to be. If you haven't tired his levels yet your really missing out on some excellent game play and beautifully designed levels.Never mind resistance, trying to follow the labyrinth of corridors and obstacles that make up the Borg cube, is futile. I have to take off my hat to AjnKnox for building a level complex enough that Geordi LaForge himself probably could not map out without a little help from Data. Great use of materials and colours to create the environment. Great use of obstacles and objects to vreate the fun. Another 5 star level in this 5 star series. It was a long wait, but the Borg are back in AJnKnox’s part 5 of attack of the Borg. Expecting the traditional platforming prowess this creator has set out in the previous levels in the series? Well you will not be let down! In fact, expect bigger environments, better platforming and improved visuals too – because you’ll be getting them from this level. One of my favourite series returns, and this time you take the fight to the Borg themselves. The maze like design in the level is at times spellbinding, and when you add in the great characters, story and visuals you have a level that is a worthy addition to an already great series.Space Escape IIjwwphotos/jwwphotos
http://www.jwwwebdesign.com/photos/LBP/SpaceEscapeII/SpaceEscapeII_pic2.pngStill stuck on an alien space ship, you wander the craft in hopes of finding a means for escape, but survival continues to be a problem. Part II of the Space Escape series! Includes Secret Space Escape Mini Game bonus room!

More sci-fi with a smile from jwwphotos! This level just oozes craftsman like attention to detail and smart planning and design. You find yourself still aboard a ship of unknown purpose, contending with overzealous cleaning bots and all manner of contraptions, trying to figure out how to get off this nutty ride. Innovative and very fresh feeling puzzles and platforming set in an ultra detailed tech environment make this one a very unique and cool experience. Can you find all the secrets (including a way cool mini game) and make it past a boss with three times the paintinator action? This Sci-Fi level does not feature the Borg, instead it features mopbucketdroid..things, you guessed it, Jwwphotos is back with the sequel to Space Escape! Basically taking off where the last one ended, the adventure aboard this quirky yet magnificent Space vessel continues and as with its predecessor, the challenges you face are original to say the least. The game play is superb and is packed with a lot of innovative elements. Loved the fact that besides the expected secrets in the form of bubbles, he also managed to slip in a little mini-game. Great visuals packed with detail, a bit of humor, contraptions polished to perfection and a small bossfight unlike any other guarantee you will have a wonderful time.My over riding feeling after I played this was one of sadness. Sadness that I'll never play another level with doors as well made as this one! Seriously, there is just so much love and attention gone into almost every minute detail here that at times you'll find yourself just stopping to look about at all of Jwwphoto's creations. It's like the perfect mix between Forbidden Planet, Spaceballs and Little Big Planet. Great stuff. It’s that time of year again – yup, Jww has finally realesed another level! Are huge environments, hallways of doom, floating mazes and gas compression chambers your kind of thing? Then you’ll love this! Throw on top some top notch humour and lovely visuals and you might be able to understand why we love this level. Now if only Jww could churn them out a bit faster…. Its been a long time coming, but Space Escape II is finally here. Explore deeper into this epic spaceship, and come across more delightfully funny and off the cuff enemies. The layer work is absolutely top notch, as are the hazards and ideas. Unmissable.Virtual Reality - Survival Challenge 2v0rtex/v0rtex2002
http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u180/v0rtex2002/LBP%20Virtual%20Reality%20Survival%20Challenge/APhoto_3.jpgALL NEW ROOMS!! Make your way through each room before your time expires and the next room drops down around you. The longer you stay alive, the less time you'll have. Look for a room design contest coming soon.

To say I'm addicted to this level series is a bit of an understatement. I just can't help but be immersed in the quest for bubble combos at breakneck speed. Building on the tech of the first level in this series v0rtex has invented all new maniacal mazes of rooms to work your way through. The "chicken switch" is back and for those who dare take on the flashing red light timer the payoffs can be huge. Loved the introduction of some multiplayer features in this one too. So if you want a really big score bring a friend and take on the clock. I dare you not to become addicted to this mechanical masterpiece.Vortex could probably make about a dozen of these survival challenges and they would remain fresh, all thanks to his wonderful mechanic of random rooms. I have to be honest and admit that I get bored pretty fast when it comes to survival challenges but I could play this one over and over since the tempo and most importantly variety of this level keeps it fun and exciting. Great on your own, excellent in multiplayer. Hmm, that room is starting to look familiar, I think its about time for Virtual Reality – Survival challenge 3.Vortex brings home another spotlight with yet another survival challenge. The first was great, but now he’s added more rooms, that offer even more of a challenge, to keep things looking fresh. And by goodness it’s worked wonders! Thought you’d mastered the first? Prepare to go one step further and master this one too…. if you can!All new rooms, all new point collecting goodness and all new challenges await in Vortex's new addition into his VR Training Survival Challenge. Its beautiful, huge amounts of fun, and a technical marvel. It gets quicker the further you progress so needs a keen eye and quick fingers in order to succeed. It might take a few tries to get a decent score, but you'll have immense amounts of fun getting there.Lara Cloth: Tomb Raider - HelgardhKiminski/Kiminskihttp://i629.photobucket.com/albums/uu15/Morgana25_photos/APhoto_126.jpgTravel deep into the cold dark caverns of this mountainous tomb and seek out glowing orbs in all sorts of hidden places. Danger lurks around every dark corner as massive statues stand guard over the silent tomb. A continuation of the Lara Cloth series.

Kiminski won't say this but I can - go play this level! Unparalleled sticker mastery is on display in this jaw dropping and moody level by Kiminski. Silver gray and cold, the rocks of this quiet tomb are absolutely stunning and the statues will amaze even the toughest LBP critic. Throw onto this visual feast some downright challenging platforming and a bubble hunt that's part luck part digging around and you've got a level that's fun, full of top notch visual spender and a unique experience all around. A truly gorgeous level that should not be missed by anyone! This must be the first time in the history of LBPC that a level had to be forced to the level showcase to allow for this spotlight to happen. Kiminski doesn’t like to blow her own horn so the community decided to do it for her! Her Lara Cloth series has always been a source of amazement but with this level she reached new standards. Her sticker work is truly unprecedented and is without a doubt, the best use of the PS-eye in LBP so far when it comes to really adding something valuable to the atmosphere. A gorgeous, moody temple filled with excellent varied and inspired gameplay. I can think of no reason at all why you should skip this level as it hits the high marks on all accounts.Playing this level by Kiminski was the first time I ever wanted to clap a level and then be allowed an encore. Fortunately I can clap and play a level very well, and the encore was just getting to play this level again and again, whilst trying to work out how this had been created. Some excellent sticker use, killer platforming and beautiful layer use – what more can a level have!?Sackula : rondo of burlapptwob/ptwobhttp://i629.photobucket.com/albums/uu15/Morgana25_photos/APhoto_125.jpgInspired by the classic Castlevania games, a leevl that takes you through all corners of Dracula's castle and a fight with Drac himself at the end.

If your looking for a long and challenging level, look no further. Excellent real physics based platforming all in a gothic themed level based on Castlevania. Great characters, a wicked cool clocktower to climb and a multi stage boss that is very satisfying to defeat. Set aside a block of time to fully appreciate this gem and check out the prizes to see how these awesome contraptions were made. Very, very cool level! It's epic, and almost as challenging as the classic games that inspired it. Brilliantly atmospheric, lengthy, gorgeous and challenging. Pretty much everything it needs to be right there. Play it. Finally, someone did the spirit of Castlevania justice in Little Big Planet, both in terms of visuals and gameplay!! Since it is only loosely based on the famous franchise, ptwob was able to take certain liberties making it an experience tailored for sackboys. A lot of great gameplay can be found here featuring original contraptions and platforming bits from beginning to end. A very satisfying and epic adventure that made me wonder why I didn’t notice this creator before. Mountainfilipovisck/filipovisckhttp://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=12133Make your way up this mountain fraught with danger and explosive action. Real physics based obstacles and moderate level platforming make for a fun level to play.

Fans of JackofCourse's style of level building will adore this gem of a level by filipovisck. He's managed to get some awesome geometry and real physics based mechanics into this beautiful level that while it reminds me of Jack's geometry, this level has it's own unique style and charm to it. Highlights for me were the Antelope lifts that move bombs up to the top of the mountain and great hulking stone platforms that walk along the tight corridors that you have to cross while not getting squished! Very innovative in parts and always designed well, take on the spindly platforms and climb your way up this awesome mountain!A real difficulty on LBP is creating physics based platforming because it’s not only hard to implement, but to get the ideas is equally trying. However we’re treated to a whole bunch of physics based gameplay that we haven’t seen since Wyth’s JackMcSetback all those moons ago. This level is equally as impressive, includes a great use of materials and flows brilliantly. This level by creator filipovisck has a lot going for it. A Mountain created by brilliant geometric visuals and featuring solid platforming and a whole bunch of inventive, physics based contraptions. The flow in this level is near perfect and the little bit of backtracking well integrated. As Morgana, I was most impressed with the “bomb elevator” and the endless stream of walking rocks, an interesting combination of the bulls from the savannah and the elephants from the temples. Superb level with a lot of polish!!I loved the whole design and flow of this level, its very much from the MM and Jackofcourse school of design, but also has the merits to stand on its own feet. Some brilliant material choices, excellent mechanics and physic based platforming and some great set pieces make this a very solid from start to finish. A worthy spotlight.Dead Sacks Cave (LBPC Co create contest entry)Codibear8383 & fijski8/fijski8http://i629.photobucket.com/albums/uu15/Morgana25_photos/APhoto_124.jpgDead sacks cave, can you make it out alive? Fly a plane, explore a cave, solve easy puzzles, swim and fight a boss!

Great lights and cool water areas make this level memorable and beautiful to play. Easy platforming and puzzles make it a good level for players of all skill levels. A cute level that shows two creators can be better than one sometimes.Codibear & fijski8 are relatively unknown creators and I hope that injustice changes soon if their co-create project is something to go by. A beautifully crafted cave filled with waterfalls and treasure that sports fun and accessible gameplay throughout. Everyone can and will most likely enjoy this adventurous level.White ElephantKipmonlin/Kipmonlinhttp://i666.photobucket.com/albums/vv21/Kipmonlin/WhiteElephant2.jpgTime for bubble combos in a whimsical and psychedelic level. Wiggle your way like a mouse around books and presents in the cluttered shelves of a colorful room.

For players who prefer a beautiful level that you can take in at your own pace look no further than the newest offering from Kipmonlin. Easy to scale but oh so many nooks, crannies and platforms to explore it will keep you occupied searching for bubbles and marveling at all the nick knacks. Rich red, white and blue color scheme is very bold but pretty. So relax and meander through this colorful and cute level. This isn’t your typical LBP level as it would actually require some kind of skill to die in the progress. What Kipmonlin did bring to the table however is a long lasting, high contrast visual experience that is sure to amaze and that will you have you explore each nook & corner for bubbly treats. The perfect antidote after a challenging level that did nothing else but frustrate. Very relaxing. This level is as out there as its name – but it pays off as this is a pretty unique experience from Kipmonlin. Those of you who hate to die and prefer to be searching every last corner of a level for secrets will love this high contrast level. I was absoloutly blow away by the visuals in this level, the lighting is second to none (sorry Morgana). Its a great little bubble combo level that features some great little details. Its a little off the wall in the style I thought, but that only makes the experience a little more satisfying. A fantastic level. Journey to the Forgotten PlanetAgentBanana/AgentBanana
http://i629.photobucket.com/albums/uu15/Morgana25_photos/APhoto_127.jpgIts about the first sackanout on another planet thats based on Mars!

It's finally finished. A Space Shuttle that actually goes through SRB separation followed by a not so pretty landing set the stage in this off world adventure. Gorgeous rocky shapes all in shades of red and orange are a pretty backdrop fot moderate platforming game play. Some classic challenges are tweaked with water and seem fresher to me than they normally do. Cool race against collapsing platforms rounds out the fun. A very fun level to play. This may be a forgotten planet – but don’t make this level go the same way because it truly is a masterpiece by AgentBanana. I for one won’t be forgetting the shades of red, beautiful corner editing and fun platforming any time soon. So get your space gear on and prepare to crash land down on this level! Crashing a Space Shuttle onto an unknown planet is not a new concept in Little Big Planet. What matters is how you excecute it and keep it fresh. Agentbanana has created an exciting adventure through a boiling hot alien world that will take you inside caverns & mysterious alien architecture. Great design and solid platforming with an explosive finale. Very impressive. From the exposive start, to the explosive end, this level is also packed with many great parts in between. A wonderful looking and designed landscape that is filled with some great ideas and contraptions for you to get to grips with as you explore this desolate alien world. Brain Chain 2: Industrial Bouncecomphermc/comphermc
http://img190.imageshack.us/img190/996/aphoto57.jpgBounce on brains and avoid the fire to collect points and survive. This level is for one player only.

One of the hardest and best survival challenges is back in the sequel to Brain Chain by comphermc. Before you take on the fiendishly timed brains take a moment to take in all the brilliantly designed gears, billboards and a cool as heck train that thunders through the foreground of the level. So subtly brilliant in terms of the tech behind the scenes this level is an excellent example of visuals, gameplay and mad tech skills all working in harmony to produce a seriously addictive and cool level. When the creator himself says his level is extra hard, believe me, it is!! It looks so easy when you start, you hop from brain to brain like there is no tomorrow until you notice a gap in the brainchain and fall to your untimely death. No worries, I think I did ok, but that was before a magic mouth told me I sucked and I glanced over at the scoreboard to see the nr. one score….yikes!! A challenging minigame that is also a lot of fun and gently nudges you towards improving your skills. Being a one room challenge, it also has the advantage of being able to go wild visually and the environment is filled with details and a brilliant, how did he do that?, use of the layer glitch. Awesome survival challenge that, to me at least, came out of nowhere.Another addictive minigame in the spotlight?! We are being spoiled by creators these past two weeks, and Compher has given us a second dose of his Brain Chaining madness! And boy is this one worthy of a spotlight, it’s killer to try and master but still manages to not be frustrating. This is definetly, without doubt, the best looking survival challenge I have seen. Its absolutely dripping with details and great design, and thats only the start and and tutorial sections!!. The game is itself is deceptively difficult, but very very addictive, bounce on brains to keep yourself alive and the combo ticking may sound easy, but I can tell you thats it not. I can't count how many times I've played this level, and I've loved every start I've had. Comphermc has released a number of top quality levels recently, and this is one is up there with the very best. Sack, The legendary: Level 4 of 13Luos_Desruc/Luos_Desruc
http://i629.photobucket.com/albums/uu15/Morgana25_photos/APhoto_128.jpg"Mangrove Mountain" With some help from the resqued Skyriders Sack was able to get to the Mangrove Mountains.. still not knowing why he is on Ignoria and what his goal is.. Sack will meet amber again and will also meet one of Ambers long time friends. Its Jack Sackapillar who will take Sack up to the Mangrove Mountains. Aided by the Caterpillars roaming these mountains filled with Tree's and caves and even some creatures Sack should fear... This might also be Sack's first encounter with one of the biggest Morbids of them all.

More great platforming and memorable characters from Luos_Desruc. Swing from brightly colored caterpillars and wander through underground corridors that look great. If you haven't played any of the levels of this series yet, now would be a great time to check them out. Wait, wasn’t I just playing part 3 of this series like yesterday? Luos_Desruc has proven these past few weeks that he has the gift of producing quality levels at lightning speed. The story continues with part 4, the visuals are as magical as before, the characters are just as loveable, the lines just as sharply written and the gameplay is as good as ever. I have now officially become in love with this series and to think that there are 9 more chapters underway, ( which will probably all be released in February if his previous release dates are anything to go by) I honestly can’t wait! A personal highlight was the running joke/stab at one of the “Little Big” gameplay clich?sLuos keeps knocking us out of the park here on the spotlight team, and he’s given us yet another part to his Sack the Legendary series! Once again we’re treated to beautiful visuals and some lovely platforming, so make sure you check this one out and await the other 9 parts. INSECTOIDSM_R_Enigma/M_R_Enigmahttp://farm5.static.flickr.com/4063/4333172349_b905e61380_o.jpgInspired by Space Invaders, INSECTOIDS is a retro arcade-style level redesigned for the PS3. Take control of a side scrolling tank and start blasting today!

Classic arcade gaming makes another appearance in LBP with this Space Invaders styled level. A much more literal interpretation than Ccubbage's homage it still captures the feel of the original game. Great neon lined alien ships and a great staging area make it look cool and don't forget to check out the awesome plasma tube effect at the scoreboard.I can already see Ccubbage and M_R_Enigma sitting next to a piano played by Randy Newman as he sings ‘you got a friend in me’…but that is besides the point, onto the level!! This sacksized recreation of space invaders is sure to please, it captures the feeling of the original title and is as much fun to play as you remember it. I especially loved the little 8-bit led explosions after you shoot down a ship. Arcade gameplay at its finest. With one of the coolest names this spotlight, Insectoids is an addictive level that pays homage to the great space invaders. And this is the closest I’ve ever come to feeling like I’m on an arcade machine whilst playing LBP. One for the oldies (Grant I’m looking at you!) to relive a classic and for the kids to be caught up on their video game history. The Crate EscapeSatansPit/cpt_sainsburys
http://i425.photobucket.com/albums/pp340/ScorpionGravTank/CrateJumps.jpgThere's a little puzzle for those who like that sort of thing, lots of different platforming sections to keep you entertained, and a bit of eye candy so hopefully you'll spend plenty of time staring while being killed by my devious obstacles.

Spikes, spikes and more spikes! Whether you have to jump, swing or climb over them, they are everywhere in this challenging level by SatansPit. Very little room for error an precise timing are built into the platforming challenges in this level. Best if played by yourself if for no other reason than to avoid dying in front of your friends.Ever played a level where it’s less than a quarter of a second either way that means you miss a jump, or make it? Well that’s certainly what it feels like here! And that’s a great thing, as LBP needs a new challenge – and SatansPit has provided it brilliantly. Go get your game playing gloves and head on down to this level. Spikey, very spikey indeed. Satanspit has created a challenging masterpiece that includes a variety of platforming goodness filled with innovative gameplay elements that include, you guessed it, spikes!!. Folks who like a good challenge will get a kick out of this level and while best played on your own, I did find multiplayer enjoyable as my team took turns to see who could get the farthest without being impaled.First thing I've got to say, this is challenging. Second thing, its also brilliant. It will definetly push your LBP platforming skills to the max as you navigate the most dangerous piece of packaging I've ever seen. Brilliant to play and look at, its worthy of your time and the many deaths you'll no doubt witness on your journey through it.Dead Space: New Arrivals (LBPC co-create contest entry)SteveBigGuns & monkeysboys/steve_big_gunshttp://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=12309&d=1265218315Investigate the communicatrions blackout on the the deep space mining ship USG Ishimura. The level is based on the first chapter of Dead Space. If you`ve played the game then you will see the effort we both put into it to create something thats visually accurate yet still fun to play as a side scorolling platformer.

It's gorgeous and completely mimics the style of the original game. Great lighting effects and camera work make it play more like a movie than a platformer but the quality of the work is excellent. Extreme attention to detail in every sign and even fluorescent lights that look amazing. Fans of the original game will recognize a lot of this level and fans of more visually focused levels should definitely check this one out.Wow, just wow, it is hard to be more impressed by visuals and atmosphere. As Morgana pointed out, this recreation of Dead Space does things a bit differently than its predecessors and gives you a very cinematic experience that features a lot of amazing visuals tricks and details. To say the level looks amazing is an understatement. That is not to say that the level is completely void of gameplay though as I very much enjoyed solving the puzzles along the way. The ending leaves it open for a sequel and I really hope Steve_big_guns & monkeysboys get back together to give us another chapter since I can’t wait to see how they handle the rest of the famous sci-fi horror game.I've got to say this level looks amazing, its right up there with Wex's The Good, The Bad Sackboy Part 3 and Candyk's Starcruiser for visual prowess. Its immaculately stickered and detailed, and really sets the whole adventure to a brilliant start. It not only looks good, but plays just as well to. Even if you've never played Dead Space like me, you will still be impressed by this outstanding piece of level creation, just like me!

Oh i've been meaning to play that Dead Space level! This just reminded me. And while i'm playing this i'll play the rest of those as well! They sound great.

EDIT: think i just found a mistake. SteveBigGuns is his LBPC name and Steve_Big_Guns is his PSN. Might be wrong though.

I am so honored to be included in this Spotlight with some of my great friends as well as some awesome creator heroes! Thank you all so very much for all the wonderful and kind words. You have made me so happy!! I make these levels from my heart and feel so blessed that you all enjoyed this one as much as I did creating my zany little world. Thanks so much.

To the other creators in this Spotlight, really amazing stuff. Of those I did play, I was blown away by how awesome they were and how much the bar keeps raising for the LBP community as well as all the incredible talent here at LBPC. Congrats! ...and the ones I missed, I will play asap!

To the spotlight team, you folks are incredible with your devotion to playing so many community levels looking for the gems. So proud to know that you considered me as one of those this time around. Thanks so much for all you do. Bless you all!!

Pics look amazing, I'll check this levels one by one.

Okay, a mistake managed to slip in undetected through quality control and Kipmonlin is incorrectly reffered to as Kiminski in my comment on her level.
My apologies, Kipmonlin!!

I'm so pleased Kiminski's level is included - though I'm not sure whether she'll need a glass of wine or an inhaler! If she pops in, make sure you've got the smelling salts ready! No, seriously, thanks to comphermc for moving it over to the Showcase.

Yeah another great collection of levels. Really is astonishing how high the quality of levels are on this site. I'd love to see the look on the faces of Mm staff as they see what the community has come up with.

Thanks for the kind words guys. Work means that I only get a few hours a week to play games these days so I wasn't able to commit as much time to the spotlight as I felt was necessary, or fair to the other guys. Loved every minute of it and I'm proper gutted to have to give it up. I'll still be around the forums though so not really going anywhere.

Anyway, big big thanks to the spotlight crew. You really are the best bunch of internetz people I've had the pleasure of talking crap to.

Thanks much crew for all your work and the comments on my level. I happy with it myself and had a blast making it so getting spotlighted is just terrific.

Great variety in this spotlight. Many different kinds of levels but of very high quality. I've played all but one of the levels in this edition and Next Stop, Big City stands out as a classic community level.

This is a pleasant surprise. I always dreamed to be in this list, but did not expect. Thank you for taking the time to play my levels and to offer this space. It is an honor to have this mention. I was very happy to see me here this day. It motivates me to keep working hard on my levels. Because I know that I still have deficiencies when compared to bright people from this site, but thanks to all of you, LBP is definitely an even better experience because of you. Thank you very much to the TEAM to really feel that my levels are good enough to this space. Simply I do not have words to be thankful much that this means for me. And one more time A great excuse by not being very good when speaking or for writing English.
