i just thought of this, but how cool would it be if there was a clean cut black material like a magnet. with 3 settings, + or - , the strongness of the magnet and the range of the magnetic field. + atracts - + repels + as - repels - think what cool stuff you could do with that, make items float on magnetic fields. make stuff conect when close or repel when close, maibe by a switch like you also conect to desolve maretial maybe even ad some magnet boots that will go great with a future level pack, heh... | 2010-02-07 17:33:00 Author: ptwob Posts: 99 |

Wait what!?! Magnets again! Sorry to sound so rude but I've already suggested magnets before AND have seen it suggested a couple of times after me. To end on a good note though, since you started your own thread it means you probably thought of this yourself and I think that magnets would be great to have in LBP. There's an endless number of uses for magnets, especially since magnets can either attract OR repel each other. And maybe your right, maybe if it is out there enough it might actually happen. It would definitely need a special material under the "Magnetic" section in order to avoid it screwing up levels, The magnetic boots idea is pretty cool but I feel a wall crawling ability would be far better with a certain power up, that way the free-running/alien/spiderman fans are happy along with the people who wanted the ability to simply climb stuff. | 2010-02-20 22:33:00 Author: Dunadrian Posts: 57 |

I can see where the cynicism can come into it, it may not seem like a whole lot can be done for it to really help the community but it could be made for vehicles that climb walls and so on and so forth, making space levels, magnetic based propulsion (push metal crate against repellant wall section, crate slides away). I think the exact way you described it is perfect! The three settings. Clean cut kind of a black brushed steel look. I think that's a fantastic idea! Imagine they could be activated or deactivated with switches, or you can use a directional switch to change the polarity.
