Signed out of PSN on first attempts to accept invites or join players online

Archive: 5 posts

Does this happen to anyone else?

Whenever I go to accept an invite or request a join for the first time upon starting LBP, I always get immediately disconnected from PSN.

I then have to sign-in again, reconnect to the LBP servers, and everything works fine from there on out. Just wondering if anyone has any insight into this. Is it the game? Is it my router? How do I fix this annoying problem?

Hm... strange never had this happen. You know there always is the possibility of coincidence. Maybe you internet always happens to stop at that time. Unlike;y but things like that do happen.2010-02-04 16:28:00

Does this happen to you as soon as you load lbp or does it happen after you've been on it for a while??2010-02-04 17:03:00

Except that it happens with 100% certainty, the instant I click on "accept invite" or "join", and has been happening daily since I returned to LBP three weeks ago. I almost never get d/c otherwise.

This is why I consider it might be router related.

I only get disconnected when I try to join someone. It doesn't matter if I just loaded the game or have been playing for hours. As soon as I try to leave for someone else's pod, BAM! D/C. I sign back into PSN, retry the join, and it always works from here on out, until I quit LBP or reboot the PS3 (not sure which).

hmm well it tends to happen to me with people who live in certain countries but ive never heard of it being that bad as you get it. Yeah i would suggest trying a new router as it is the main internet getting disconnected as well as the lbp servers.2010-02-04 17:21:00
