Killzonequinn and ruof sure are lucky if they can enter their level. Or is that not allowed?2010-02-03 22:57:00

No they can't. You cannot enter a level that has previously been published. It has to be brand new for the competition.

Hmm, another theme I already have a good idea for... but unlikely I'll get that implemented in a month. 2010-02-03 23:08:00

Don't forget, in order to win the competition it doesn't have to be a masterpiece, it merely has to be the best level that was submitted. Considering everyone has around the same amount of time to complete it, it's quite do-able

I only do masterpieces.

Check my levels for proof.

For the January contest, the rules allowed cocreate, but it was made clear that only one crown would be awarded. I would assume the same holds true for this.2010-02-04 13:22:00

There is no way to check whether a level was created by one or a million people.

This being the exact reason why there's no point trying to stop it. The rule is that it is only the PSN of the person who publishes the level that the crown will be sent to.

Hey Jack, is this contest for anyone and any type of x 2 level, as long as its worked on from now? And what is the prize, a crown? I know it says "Crown thread" but just wanted to confirm 2010-02-04 13:56:00

Prize is a crown, yes. This is part of an ongoing monthly contest, with one crown awarded each month for levels that meet the criteria.

Yes, any kind of two player levels can be entered.

A specific criteria for judging hasn't been put in place due to the many different types of levels that will have to be judged.

For example judging a platforming level, a story based level, and a survival level using the same criteria just isn't viable.
So basically, they will be judged in line with what the creator was trying to achieve.

The only thing it will be judged on other than general awesomeness will be how well you adapted to that months theme. For example, last months theme was water. You could enter the greatest level ever, but if water is merely present at the scoreboard and not really used in an innovative way throughout the level, it is extremely unlikely that it will win.

For full details on pretty much every question you could think of, just have a look at the thread linked in the OP

hmm, i've never been great at 2x building, do you get points for the levels visual quality?

I may have a go, still working on 3 other projects (2 level projects and a costume project)

As stated in the post above, it will be judged on 'general awesomeness' and I would definitely consider visuals to be a part of that, yes.2010-02-04 18:44:00

I'm giving it a shot. I've got the level planned out, story, gameplay, and all, did some visual tests, so I'm pretty much ready to start building the actual level. I don't have that much time to spend on it, so I highly doubt I'll get it done in time. It would be a first, anyway. 2010-02-12 12:55:00

I've just published my revamped 2 player+ level with a valentine's theme.

If it isn't eleigible for the contest that's ok but I'd still like to offer it up as a showcase for some original 2 player obstacles and puzzles and just to give other people some ideas.

Thanks. Here's the link to the thread with all the details :https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=22738-Be-my-Valentine-(-Let-s-have-a-sweet-affair-)-2-player-minimum

Unfortunately you are right, it must be a newly published level in order to meet the rules of the competition. However definitely worth a mention and hopefully it will give some of the other contestants a few good ideas!

Thanks for posting it!

I'm working on my last gaming sequence for my submission. It's turned into an interesting logic/sequencing problem. I'm kind of worried that I've taken on too much to make the deadline. I purchased the game 4 weeks ago, and found out about this contest 2 weeks ago, but I'm pretty happy with what I've been able to accomplish as a "noob" creator. Wish me luck folks!!2010-02-26 14:04:00

Alright, I'm out. Which means the rest of you now have a chance of winning.

I'll still be finishing the level, at which point the winner is free to hand over the crown.
