Hey guys! I'ts been long since I used the good side of my tech knowledge (which isn't much ) to create something that I'm sure 90-100% of you have never seen. I've show this system to people like FULLGORR, Jaeyden, GrantosUK, and some others who I cant think of right now and really liked the idea Basically this system which streches throughout a whole level can generate fire from the ground on any position your sackboy is in....It's a simple system and actually, I'm sure anyone can make, but anyway..... So I want to make a whole level out of this system which is......well, think of it as inFamous (Game for those who aren't up-to-date ) but instead of lightning you use fire. The system works the following way.... grab the ground anywhere on the level and fire will spawn. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- How it follows you? The system uses a STS (Sackboy Tracking System) and a couple of emitters. When you grab the ground it activates the emitters on the STS and a small chain of fire emits in a line in front of you. On each flame (which is attached to a piece of invisible dark matter) has 2 things attached to it....an emitter which emits the next flame and a green magnetic switch used to kill things like enemies and activates things. http://img718.imageshack.us/img718/3207/63764589.png I didn't take my time to make the image....(I'm a designer so can you imagine to actually draw like this when I take my time lol) Hmmm.....on my computer the image shows up as 1px in height.....if this happens to you just click that 1px line and it should open the image (Or if that doesn't work just quote me and follow the picture link ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Now the reason I posted this is to get some more ideas on what I can use the flames for. KEEP IN MIND THAT THE LEVEL HAS AN APOCALYPTIC ATMOSPHERE! That's a nice concept and I look forward to seeing it in action when I get a new PS3. I'm always trying to think up something new and original myself although it's getting harder so I'm always keen to see new ideas implemented. I'm not a fan of really dark areas in levels but I can see how this idea could be used for a particularly dark area to highlight traps and such that sackboy then has to negotiate before using it again to highlight the next trap or path to take.
