Prologue:
On the world of Altora a steam driven society, Steam City, thrived for hundreds of years producing clean energy and slow advancements in technology.
Recent advancements revealed that thunder could be utilized to create a much more powerful form of energy.
Detaching from the steam society the richest and most powerful people seeked to monopolize the new energy hiring the best scientists to work for them and starting construction on a new city, Thunder Towers.
In response to the large amounts of pollution being produced from the new city the steam society turned hostile against them.

Two rival cities are planning to attack, one using steam energy and the other using electricity.
Steam City has advanced much further while electricity is fairly new, although a lot more powerful.
As a preemptive strike both cities sent out specialized assassins to either attack or defend!

Rules!
- No controlling other people's characters unless you really have to.
- No god moding, keep it fairly sensible ^^
- No killing off other characters unless they approve.
- Have fun!!

Pick a side and invent a character. You can be anything! for example; aerial fighter, ninja, scientist, siege engineer or something a bit more silly

Feel free to make up areas too, theirs a fairly large gap between the 2 cities I'm sure there's somewhere where the assassins could meet inbetween!

If you can think of a nickname for each side that'd be cool too!

Steam City: (Steampunk)
- Dexiro
- Rseah

Thunder Towers: (Tesla)
- Outlaw Jack
- Astrosimi

Areas:
- Dark Forest

Being a bit of a steampunk i'm on Steam Cities side

Dex, an engineer from Steam City, has spiky dark red hair and a huge black scarf/cloak. Along his belt he has various weird copper gadgets that he uses to build weapons from and adapt to his situation.
Approaching a large dark forest on his way to Thunder Towers he jumps out of his car - after quickly constructing a nifty steam powered pistol from his belt he enters the forest where he finds a small base built by his fellow assassins.

I would, but I don't have the time... I would probably just do a couple pages and quit.
Good luck, anywho.

((I'm abit of a steampunk too... ah what the heck. Electricity for me!))
"Spare change?"
*SMACK!*
"Owww!!"
A lone beggar wandered around aimlessly, holding out his hands as he desperately clung to the high-strung crowds of Thunder Towers. People dressed in elegant gowns and suits strolled down the busy sidewalks of the Tesla District, Thunder City's hub for the powerful and elite. Tesla coils towered over the skyline, exchaning large streams of electrical currents amongst themselves in other parts of the city. Recordings from the city's namesake, Nikola Tesla, echoed throughout the crowded avenues and streets, praising the feats of man's evolution into modern society through electricity and criticizing the Steamers' attempts of using "hot air" as a reliable fuel source. Dressed in tattered rags and wearing a scruffy beard, the withered hobo stood out like a sore thumb amongst the crowds of the Tesla District, making him an easy target for the TTA (Thunder Towers Authority).
Two men, dressed in iron plating and wielding electric batons, strolled up to the beggar and grabbed him on both sides.
"Heh-heh, what're you doing here, old man?" One joked, smacking the beggar on the back with his baton. A shock charged through his body, dropping him to his knees.
"Yeah," the other scoffed, "People like you aren't welcomed around these parts; get lost!"
And with a swift toss, the beggar was sent sprawling across the narrow street, rolling into the Edison Electrical Plant, Thunder Towers' largest (and most dangerous) powerplant.

(Tesla troopers ftw. As Red Alert fan, I'm naturally the electric.)

Doctor Hanz Zarkov stood in his penthouse apartment, looking over the bustling city of electricity he'd pioneered to when it was just an experiment. Now that it was a successful one, his contributions to the developing of the new electric technology did not go unnoticed; the penthouse apartment and private rooftop planetarium/lab spoke for itself in that mater. He was tall, lanky, with slicked back long brown hair. But now trouble stirred in the horizon, specifically, right around the speck of billowing vapor and steam. Steam City has declared war on Thunder Towers, and now the TTA had put out a call for the deadliest of the deadliest to assist in a preemptive confrontation. And Hanz was ready.

He bolted up the stairs to the roof, his hair standing up on end as he opened the door. One could feel the electricity coming from the two Tesla Coils flanking the entrance to Hanz's lab. He opened his eye wide and shoved it in front of a panel next to the door. A retinal scan confirmed his identity and unlocked the door.

The lab was disorganized, as usual, figures and equipment strewn around a central telescope, granted to him by the highest authorities. Hanz removed his coat as he grabbed a nearby sheet of paper; the calculations that would allow electrical production without pollution. He lamented the fact; he'd made the breakthrough the second Steam City declared war. Peace would have to wait. He stored the documents in a locked cabinet, and reached for a remote. As he pressed a button, a capsule rose in the corner, flanked by, you guessed it, two Tesla Coils. The suit was a marvel of science. Tesla coils wrapped around the wrists, a suit designed to completely absorb huge amounts of energy, and then fire it off in extremely damaging blasts.

Hanz Zarkov is now an avatar of both peace and war, and of science.

He is the Tesla Trooper.

As the hobo struggled to his feet, giant streams of lightning blazed pass his face, frightening the whithered geezer. Inside the Edison Electrical Plant, Tesla coils and generators hummed with electrical currents. Wires criss-crossed the domain, and AC currents surged through every metal object and conductor, making the powerplant glow a bright blue. It was like a giant carnival maze strung up to jumper cables.
As the beggar wandered aimlessly through the maze of electricity and metal, he tumbled down a sharp incline, falling into the middle of two giant Tesla coils. As the geezer got to his feet, the coils lit up, and almost instantaneously, the power of a million watts of power surged through his body, burning off all of his hair and charring the man's skin to a sickening black. The hobo was aflame, screaming in sheer terror and agony. And with his final steps, the deadman tumbled off another incline and fell into the city's sewer system, his dead body floating into the underground of Thunder Towers.

Slacking and kicking his heels in the forest base he felt rather rebellious; gazing at the swirling steam emerging from a nearby tent wondering what they were up to inside - preparing food he thought.
Enjoying the moment he lit a cigarette and started tinkering with the pieces of brass attached to his belt, just then a wave of static brushed past him in the wind.
Various soldiers stood alert at the entrance of the camp, Dex disappeared into the forest.

Zarkov walked outside to the roof. He clicked a button in the suit's internal glove interface, and the Tesla Coils began to charge further. Another button, and several targets rose out of the surroundings.
"Tesla Suit Field Test. Date, February 1st, 1904. Commencing charging sequence."
The coils flared, and both fired on the suit in sync with dazzling strength and accuracy. A gauge on Zarkov's HUD slowly filled, showing full charge. He deactivated the Coils.
"Charging procedures successful. Initiating discharged procedures."
Despite the tame name, the procedure was anything but scientific. Hanz pointed his arm (More precisely, dramatically thrust)at a nearby junk steambot and fired off 1000 volts of pure electrical energy. Whatever wasn't disintegrated exploded in all directions, the brass valves and bolts to fall down into the gutters of the city.
"Discharge procedure successful. Commencing endurance trial."
The good Doctor walked in front of a small tube. A click of a button sent a small projectile flying towards him at relatively high speeds. His suit was dented. He stared at the result in discontent.
"Endurance trial.... eh, successful. Testing complete, suit meets standards and is fully operational."

As he walked to the small hangar at the rooftop's corner edge a message came into his HUD. It was Tesla. He'd reached his prime age at this point in time, a fact the wrinkles around his eyes and smile betrayed, but it wouldn't be surprising if he didn't come up with a way to reverse aging; the man was truly the perfect mad scientist. The audio played, the suit's audio systems unintentionally filtering with an almost electrical tune of voice.

"Hello, gentlemen." Even though his language of choice was English, his accent was unmistakeably East European. "If you are receiving this message, you are now part of the finest team of warriors on this planet. That being said, this message has been forwarded to those who are known to have more... aggressive occupations. Just in case."
Dr. Zarkov smirked. Classic Tesla wit.
"Once you have prepared your armaments of choice, we've prepared a rendezvous point in Joule Fields, just outside of the city boundaries, and not far from Dark Forest. Further briefing will be provided there, and there only. This is for security measures."
Zarkov's smirk dissipated, he sensed a hint of sadness in Tesla's eyes. It was expected; Tesla always was a pacifist. But above that he was a scientist committed to his creations; he would not let them be destroyed. He deserved admiration for that alone.
"I will be there as well, gentlemen. Good luck, and I'll see you at Joule Fields."

The beggar's body washed up on the shores of Aero del Mar, a coastal providence lying north of Thunder Towers, located near the delta of the Westinghouse Channel. It is here that the runoff and waste from the city flows into the Invictus Ocean, which is captured by the massive filtration plant, spanning the whole mouth of the delta. It is here that the waste and debris coming from the city is filtered out and diverted into waiting "boiling pools", where all of the materials and toxins are boiled and drained out until only clean, drinkable water is produced as a result. The water is then pumped into storage tanks, where trains from both Steam City and Thunder Towers come to meet the demands of both the Steamer and Thunderhead populations. Due to a forced agreement, warfare (and any other source of violence for that matter) is strictly prohibited in a 100 k.m. sweep around Aero del Mar. The whole plant is powered by water turbines.
A major storm was rolling in, with lightining coursing through the clouds above. A mightly bolt rained down and struck the lifeless body of the beggar, instantly electricuting the surrounding water, with electricity racing up and down the shoreline. Metal that floated along with the geezer clung to his body, acting as a sort of makeshift defibrilator. His body started to slowly twitch...
Then, struggling to his knees, the beggar raised his head, and smiled at the sky. His skin was black, his eyes were dark-brown, and his clothes were now just tatters and smoulders. But none of that mattered; he was alive. Tears started to trickle down his face, as he yelled at the sky in pure rejoice, shaking his fists and yelling long and hard. As it started to rain, he fell over, unconcious.

((steam ftw XD))

rseah groaned as he rose from the cold rocky ground. rseah stumbled around the strange mountain path his head was still spinning. He tried to remember what had happened but it was all blank. Looking around rseah tried to figure out where on earth he was. However it was hopeless, he didn't even recognize the exotic plants or the strange animals. rseah sighed and continued walking after all what else could he do.....

Dex slowed down as the forest became darker. He was carefully following the static sensation that he knew to be a clear signature of Tesla's weapons.
Keeping his emotions intact with a steady air of professionalism, despite his somewhat rough field techniques, he sensed his target was getting nearer - perhaps moving quickly towards him.

He hid behind a nearby cluster of tree's and turned off his torch as he saw a strange blue light cast shadows through the darkness.
Poking a telescope through the tree's as the static buzz became stronger - a lot stronger. It was an eerie low humming noise, there was something really unsettling in it's consistency.
A strange floating object emerged from the tree's, a zeppelin like machine, slowly gliding with no mechanical movements. It was a stomach turning corruption of steam technology; it had strange thick string like appendages and a mesh of silvery metal at it's base, amongst which was emitting the strange light.
In his rare moment of vulnerability Dex froze and waited for it to pass.

Tesla's technology must be improving rapidly.

After long hours of walking rseah fell to the ground unable to move another muscle. His body cried out for water and food gradually he began to drag himself the ground. It was hopeless and drained off all his energy the weary traveler closed his eyes and fell over unconscious. A soon as he fell strange creatures emerged from the dense bushland. The creatures had rock like skin and enormous arms and limbs, it resembled a very large gorilla the strangest thing though were their deep blue eyes which shone with intelligence. They were creatures of legend the Petra Golems. The tallest Golem wearing a blue bandanna seemed to be their leader. Opening its mouth it muttered strange words and lifted rseah onto its rocky back. It spoke again and they began moving through the forest at an intense pace.2010-02-04 00:41:00

"Quite a shock, eh, charred boy?"
The beggar sprung awake, his bright eyes wide in shock. He was panting a little, abit shaken from the sudden wake-up call.
"Ah-hah-ha!!" the voice bellowed, sounding like an old wiseman, "Boy, you were out.. COLD!! If it wasn't for me, you'd have been out at sea."
The now-changed beggar looked around, bewildered by his surroundings. Copper pipes ran along the walls, with bursts of steam popping out from time to time. Electrical wires raced across the room, connected to a radio, blurting out the latest news from both Thunder Towers and Steam City. The signals came in fuzzy, with only the slightest being audible. Lights flickered around the tan-walled room, and the floors were that of just concrete. The room was circular, as contemporary furniture laid about, with pictures of grassy fields and lone trees adorned the walls. A ladder led to the roof above.
"Come up here, kid!" the voice called out again, "It's much nicer up here in the open air!"
As the beggar rubbed his eyes, he saw his hands. They were a charred black, much different than what he was used to. He also felt around his head; all hair was gone, and has only just started to grow back. He then ran over to a bucket of water, placed here the bead he was sleeping in. Only pure "shock" could describe his reaction. Splashing his face in an attempt to "wake up", he only saw the same image over and over: a black man, whose almost as skinny as a toothpick and as bald as the Mr. Clean guy. This made him abit uncomfortable.
Climbing to the roof, he was amazed by what he saw. A rolling, grassy countryside spanned for miles in all directions, with views of the boardwalk at Aero del Mar and the Westinghouse Channel in the distance. A grove of trees laid just to the side of the house he was standing upon, with a large radio tower jutting out of the treetops. But what caught his attention the most was one thing, and only one thing alone: a large, skinny windmill, colored white and having only 3 blades, towering over the surrounding area. It spun at a intermediate pace, but no sounds were heard other than the whooses emitting from the blades. He looked down pass it, and saw a line of windmills stretch far into the horizon.
He then turned to see a weathered, greased-up mechanic, aging in about his 40's and sporting a 5 o'clock shadow.
"The name's Mitch," he spoke, extending his hand out, "What's yours?"
The beggar grabbed his hand, shaking it nervously.
"Erm..." the beggar mumbled, abit embarassed by his British accent, "My name is Blyth."

He kept low to the forest floor after the zeppelin machine had passed and sent out some signals on his transmitter to alert the base ahead. He'd have to confront the machines but he'd rather have returned to his workshop to equip himself better.
It was too dark to continue considering what else might be waiting for him. Either way noone was finding him soon, he fashioned a more suitable weapon for the darkness and marched roughly back to the base making effort to avoid the zeppelins path.
There was an air of suspense as he progressed through the forest. Would there be more machines? Would he return to find the camp destroyed?
Light started peaking through the trees again, natural light, and the camp was in sight. Either the camp felt too silent or everything was completly ordinary - but suddenly gunfire echoed, keying Dex to run quicker to help out.

Strange electrical beams radiated from the machine and seemed to charge nearby equipment rendering it unusuable.
"ASSASSIN" was shouted over the gunfire, "WHAT IS IT?".
Bullets deflected from the zeppelin as if it were made out of steel.
"WHY ISN'T ANYTHING WORKING, IT'S A BAG OF AIR".
In the corner of Dex's vision 2 funnily dressed men ran into the smoke emanating tent and lugged out what he recognised to be a net cannon. A satisfying "PHWUMP" sounded as the cannon fired drawing the attention of the entire camp and encasing the zeppelin in a mesh of rope. This interrupted the electrical discharge and allowed Dex change to charge in and fire directly at the glowing blue light which he presumed to be a weak spot.

His ears rung as he woke up breathless on the camp floor. Voices of panic surrounded him as he phased in and out of consiousness. Struggling to respond he muttered "get me b... my.. workshop" before falling back into darkness.

Hanz Zarkov walked into the hangar, turning on the lights. His Modum Transporti sat in the middle of the small garage. It was no jet aircraft, but it could certainly get a man along, as long as he was looking for a one way trip. The Dalton Accelerator was odd in construction; A capsule wedged in between two large rods, all of that built within a tube situated upon a pivot. The capsule was fired in a certain direction at high speeds using an resistant electromagnetic field.

In layman's terms, it was gigantic rail gun.

Hanz entered the capsule, cursing the lack of small-sized electric travel. Anything developed at this point would easily be noticed by nearby hostiles.

He inputted the coordinated for Joules Fields, and the hanger's roof slid back. The pivot creaked as it set into position to launch the capsule along the correct trajectory. A slow humming began, and Zarkov eyed the gauge at the capsule's HUD as he strapped himself in the impact-absorbent seating. Slowly rising.

The humming got louder.

And louder.

It reached a point where most humans would barely stand to hear it. The air crackled with electricity, and the power gauge in the Tesla Suit rose a bit.

Then, a brief clanking of metal, a supersonic explosion, the calm whooshing of air, a crash, and then, silence.

Hanz Zarkov got out and looked around. The field was serene, the drygrass looking bleak in the night atmosphere, all being lit by a blue glow. He gathered his bearings and began to walk towards the shining structure not far from there... Tesla's lab and center of operations, the birthplace of modern electric science.

Wardenclyffe Tower.

"Fzzzz...." The low humming of a group of land clearing machines buzzed through the silent forest. In the distance the Petra Golems could see hundreds of tress falling down one after another, birds flew away from as their homes were destroyed by the ruthless mechanical creatures. The leader let out a series of distressed grunts and they charged towards the scene. A mechanical bird almost invisible in the dense forest suddenly let out a horrendous noise. "FNKAFHAI!!!" It was one of the many robotic sentries scattered across the mysterious forest. "REOW!!!" Two enormous attack robots emerged from the nearby bushes. Shaped like jaguars the mechanical beasts open their mouths revealing rows of deadly blades. At incredible speed they dashed off leaving almost no trail....2010-02-06 04:51:00

Darklight, a shadowy figment of your imagination. He's a twisted creator and can make your darkest nightmares come true. He watches the the events below him unfold as he floats above his home of Thunder Towers. An evil grin comes across his face as he paces to the edge of his black cloud hideout. His eyes glow an eerie blood red as the dark forces around him create something terrible. A despicable creation that hates all living things. With a mischievous cackle, Darklight unleashes the nightmare onto the world below.2010-02-07 20:59:00

Riding the maintenance elavator. Finn sighed as the dull lighting careered past him, Taking out a schematic he circled with a red pen the pieces he had found, the compressive water cooler had been easy to find but the crystalite that grew where hot water flowed, he felt the lump in his pocket and smiled; Just as the maintenence elevator screeched to a halt, "Dangit" he swore "Stupid Technology" heactivated the hand crank and slowly pulled himself to the steamy surface.

Dex woke up feeling a little hazy. He was slumped awkwardly in the back of his car being drove through the city gates by a member of the forest camp.
From the look of his scars and scorched clothes the zeppelin had exploded. The metal trinkets on his belt gave him a weird tingly sensation so he threw them over the side of the car, the zeppelins explosion must of affected them - not that it mattered as he was headed to his workshop, or at least that's where he was supposed to be heading.

"Hey where are you taking me?!"
"The medical centre sir"
"I said take me to my workshop, get out", Dex pushed the soldier out of the car and drove off as the soldier lay on the road in disapproval.

It was a fairly busy day in Steam City. He followed the circular road around the perimeter of the city, with a cloud of steam floating gracefully overhead from all the traffic.
Most buildings in Steam City had a fairly brassy feel to them as if following a tradition; gold and copper metals, orange tinted stone - this gave the streets a warm glow.
Occasionally there'd be evidence of the water system integrated as decorations. Steam attractors would provide water for waterfalls and fountains before returning to the reservoir beneath the city. Rain wasn't uncommon either although most of the steam clouds were either gathered by attractors or blown over to the marshlands up north.

Dex approached Sector 5 and drove in from the outer road. Sector 5 was one of the more floral areas with lots of tree's laid out along the roads, and the sky was also a lot clearer.
He parked beside his workshop which was one of the quieter buildings in the area and walked inside.

It was supposed to have been a simple mission. The leader of a group of assassins, the Kinzhal [iz teh] Schastlivchikov - the Fortunate Daggers, of, literally, the Daggers of the Fortunate, Koshmar, the Naslednik Bozhiĭ of the guild, was waiting in a tree. He was waiting for his target.

Normally an Atmos Pirate by trade, he had foolishly taken a contract on a human bounty. Why? He was the leader of a very successful firm, whose underground activities, while not necessarily evil or good, were usually frowned up. He could've gotten any lackey to do it, no problem, and be sitting back at his firm's tower with a fine lass for each arm besides.

But the pay was so much higher if he did it. Koshmar looked at himself mentally:

Five throwing knives.
Four poisoned darts.
Three swords.
Two sets of clothes.
One body, and therefore one life.
Currently, zero firearms.

He had to remedy that last one. He wasd going against professionals, after all.

Why was he taking this mission, again? Oh right...the money...

He fingered his only memento on his person - a chain with shards from a meteorite set in peridot, a gift from his ex-girlfriend. He wondered for a brief moment if she ever thought of him, but froze as the hairs on his neck stood on end.

There was someone nearby.

(some of you may catch the reference to the Console Wars,,,lol)

"... and as you can see, one windmill could power an entire village," Mitch concluded, spreading his hand over the vast horizon.
"Wow!" Blyth responded, simply amazed, "An entire village; and no emissions!"
The two were on top of a large, tan wind turbine, aptly named "Ol' Sir". It was the tallest turbine in the Iberdrola region, a substate to Thunder Towers.
"So, kid," Mitch started, "What brings you out here to Aero del Mar, eh?"
"Erm," Blyth hesitated, "I was on... leeway? Yeah, leeway."
"Hmph," Mitch responded, scratchin' his head, "The closest airport 'round here is in the Edison District."
"Edison?" Blyth remarked, "Why, that's where I came from!"
"You're one of them Thunderheads?" Mitch questioned, raising one eyebrow.
"Erm... I guess," Blyth mumbled, "To a point. Isn't necessarily a bad thing though, right?"
"Meh, doesn't matter out here," Mitch shrugged, "Thunderhead, Steamer, Outsider- you name it, we've got it."
"Steamer?" Blyth asked, "What's that?"
"Eh, someone from Steam City," Mitch replied, "You haven't heard of it?"
Blyth shook his head, still intruiged by the word "steam".
"Well, if you ought to know," Mitch started, "Steamers come from the metropolis Steam City, a mecha of copper, brass and everything 'steam'... I guess you don't know what steam is."
Blyth shook his head again, still dumbfounded.
"Steam is that stuff that comes out of water when you cook it," Mitch stated, "Sorta like vapor at a high rate, if y'know what I mean. It's usually used as a means of transport, like, say, for trains and boats and what-not. But they... they take it to a whole 'nother level. You see, not only do they use it for transport- they use it for EVERYTHING."
"Everything?" Blyth questioned, his eyes wider than before.
"Oh yeah, EVERYTHING," Mitch responded, "Manufacturin' , cookin', ligthin'- yep, eveything. Even for weaponry!"
"Wow," Blyth gasped, "That's really neat."
"Yeah, so you'd say," Mitch scoffed, rolling his eyes.
"Erm, why?" Blyth asked, abit confused.
"Well," Mitch spoke, crossing his arms, "You see, some rich folk from Steam City- yeah, didn't want steam. So they set out and made Thunder Towers, that 'utopia' you came from. Only the rich and famous make it into there."
"Well, um," Blyth hesitated, "I wasn't rich nor famous. I was just a beggar."
"A beggar," Mitch stated, abit bewildered, "Erm, anyways: So they came up with this new 'technology' called 'electricity'. Supposidly, some guy named Tesla invented it. Now they've been conjurin' up lots of trouble. Why, from pollution to taxation and even to no-good vandalism, they've been stirrin' up a storm for the Steamers. And now, they're gonna get it."
"Get what?" Blyth questioned, sounding a little scared.
"Haven't you heard?" Mitch contradicted, "It's gonna be all-out WAR soon! Riots on the uprise, secret technologies, political squeals- it's gonna happen. Just wait."
"Well then," Blyth concluded, "I sure hope it won't come down here."
And with that, the two watched the sun set over the Invictus, watching the coastal town slowly light up.

The Leader of the Petra Golems was slammed to the ground by a powerful tackle from the mechanical panther. The unconscious rseah was flung onto the ground as the Golems began a heated fight with the two robots. Although the panthers were outnumbered they were much more powerful than the golems and soon only the leader golem was left. "FNFJIFN..." rseahs eyes instantly snapped open and he rolled out of the way just as the panther was about to maul his face off. The Golem instantly smashed the panthers head off, cogs and bolts flew through the forest embedding themselves in trees and boulders. The other panther shrieked in fury and its eyes began glowing red. Its began body flickering and suddenly it was gone. "Guaa!!!" The Golem yelled in pain as the invisible foe began its deadly assault. It was helpless at the hands of its foe and soon began to go in and out of consciousness. With a loud cry the large beast fell and the panther appeared again unaware of rseah. rseah was now fully alert, grabbing a strange iron rod from his belt he charged towards the oblivious robot....

The workshop had a familiar dim lit feel to it. Warm colours and a metallic dust that seemed to hang still in the air.
On one side their was a workbench littered with all sorts of strange looking contraptions, and on the adjacent side their was a large red curtain covering an entire wall.
Dex swept the curtain to one side revealing a wall covered in thousands of shining metal parts and tools, almost making the wall seem to glow.
He pulled a chair from under the workbench and sat contemplating what he'd need for the journey ahead, and then spent the next hour gathering his equipment.

The door slammed behind him as he vaulted into his car and then he slammed the pedal down leaving a ring of steam behind him.
He left the city and headed towards part of the grand archive to the north, some people know this as Aero Del Mar.

Finn sighed as he rose into the terminal, the Steam Caverns were free to go to but required a permit to enter, Flashing his Security card on the scanner he was let out as the pistons hissed steam, it was almost magical as the young boy stepped out from behind the cloud.

Stepping onto the "Steam Rocket" as it was called he sped off towards the east port, Taking a Pneumatic lift upwards he arrived in the bustling streets of the markets, Pinning in his code the seemingly blank steel sheet rose out of the ground revealing a small food trailer, Fin climbed inside and put on his apron
"we got Steamed Clams, Steamed Vegetables and Steam Roasted Chicken" Finn Shouted "All for your enjoyment!"

Koshmar grinned. This was gonna be fun. Underneath the tree walked six people, five soldiers, and one very professional looking business man. With a deep breath, Koshmar gently eased two of his swords from his scabbard. As quietly as a dead man, he jumped from the tree, getting the rear guard in the throat, giving them a silent death. Next, he took out two throwing knifes and got the side guard. Now the business man was alerted to his presence!

"Get that man! He's an assassin!"

As the two rather large and intelligent bodyguards attempted to get within a good shooting range for their pistols, Koshmar took out two more throwing knives and got each of them in the chest before a shot was fired. With a low kick, he tripped the businessman and ruining his suit in the mud.

"W-w-who are you?" asked the businessman.

"Your angel of death." Koshmar sighed. He hated this part of the job. "I need to know everything you do about your business, though, before you go. Everything. Keycodes, safe deposit combinations, everything. My client has no reason to steal it all from you, but he wants to take over your business. I'm just the mediator."

"I'll never give in to you thugs!" The man yelled.

"That's funny. Because I'm not a thug. I own a business like you. I know how to do most of the things that you do. I could BE you. So, you are possibly calling yourself a thug. Nice job. Well, if you won't talk, then there's no point in letting you live, right?"

"Wait...I'll tell you! Please, don't hurt me!"

"Now you're talking!" agreed Koshmar, with a hungry light in his eyes.

------

Upon the man's conclusion, Koshmar had learned quite a lot. Including the fact that NO ONE had told him who this man was.

This was Nikolai Tesla's nephew.

As Koshmar readied his throwing knife, the man punched him.

"You jack---". He pulled out a pistol. "I should kill you." With that, he dealt a blow to Koshmar, knocking him out for the count, and dropped his pistol as he ran away.

((It's all good, swweet))

Koshmar woke up. The scenery was different in loaming. As he looked around, he saw the six pistols lying on the ground. Checking the ammunition, he smiled to himself. Not a single bullet shot in an effort to kill him. His operation had nearly been a success. Except Tesla's nephew had gotten away. Probably for the better, he supposed...although Koshmar had a feeling that this meant the war machine was only going to loom ever larger. Funny, really, that an act meant to help stop the war (or at least postpone it) would have a completely opposite end result. As he put all the pistols away, he turned and his jaw dropped with horror.

It wasn't dusk. It was dawn.

He had to get back to his office!

He looked all around, and jumped into a tree and started leaping his way back home. He had to make it.

rseah slammed the giant robot with the metal rod. He heard a loud clang but to his surprise the robot leaped into the air and pinned him to the ground. Opening its mouth it released a large cloud of purple gas which made rseah cough and splutter. In a matter of seconds rseah lay on the ground unconscious....the robot was headed for one destination Thunder Towers!!!!

The petra golem slowly managed to stand and began following the machines tracks.....

Raul sped through the stuffy, dry caverns beneath his home, Steam City, his gas lamp stuttering and shivering in the dark. As an apprentice assassin, Raul knew all the passages, the potholes and the bottomless pits in these dusty tunnels. He had to. Without that knowledge, he would have gotten himself lost, and had to wait as his body starved and rotted in a place where no citizen of Steam dared to go. No, as an almost-assassin of IronStorm, Nate was determined to mentally map this place, or he would not earn his first Cog, and become a real assassin.
So he sprinted through the caverns, kicking up red dust in his wake. He turned a corner, then another, and another, leapt a drop of forty-foot sheer rock. If he wasn't so nimble, his leap of faith would of ended in a splatter of twitching, spiky death, impaled on a stalagmite as it stretched longingly up at him. But he made it with ease, just as he'd been taught. It was no surprise that he was nicknamed "Brassmonkey" among "acquaintences".
Raul was still running when a bright, fizzing light twirled and whined past him, slamming into the hot red rock just behind. He threw himself at the wall, trying as best he could to blend his tangled black hair with the stark crimson rock; obviously to no avail, as he felt another glowing round splinter the rock to his right. It hung in the middle of a charred patch of stone, sparking and pulsing with an odd blue light.

Note: will continue later.
