Are you tired of spending hours making custom stickers for your level to them stolen from under your nose in 3 seconds? Its too easy to sticker jack someone. You simply take the sticker off an object. Place it on your sack person and viola! You've stolen their hard work. You can even make copies by saving the costume or saving it on an object. All I'm asking for is that Media Molecule should add an option to stop people from taking stickers off your levels if you don't want them to. The fix is simple, just add a custom clear sticker you can place over photos to protect them. When people try to take it off, it should disappear like a sticker from downloadable content you don't own. I think it would be a valuable asset to creators everywhere.

But how would we tweak it? Press square before a sticker is set down? Cause some levels rely on the ability for you to be able to "steal" stickers.

Omg... Wasn't this whole game about playing together and sharing ideas? Yeah, But Ideas you wish to share with people. This is a good idea, maybe in the global settings you could have a sticker locking tool that unlocks/locks all stickers in the level from being picked up.

I can understand you frustration but personally I would would feel quite good about myself if someone decided that my custom sticker was good enough to steal. Objects are a whole different story, there is no way I want someone steeling my object.

I completely agree with Matimoo there. A creator should have the ability to share these things with the world, if he/she so chooses. When it comes down to it, I could care less if someone takes a sticker and uses it for their pod or costume, its when they use it as the icon on their level that it bothers me. Oh, and as far as objects go, its pretty easy to make a counterfeit. You simply place the object in block of material to make a mold. The rest is elementary from there. It's things like this that makes me weary of the things I publish online, but that's the risk you have to take.

Kind of related to this topic, but I feel that we should have an option (Profile setting) to stop ANYONE taking and placing stickers from you and/or your pod. Even friends.

agree with kernel...plus you know you can take pictures of the stickers with your camera tool right? and with the eyetoy...so your solution would have to be to take away those gameplay features and with that...why even bother playing the game? game is about fun...i know its bad to steal but others will find ways to steal no matter what...best solution you can do is stop making these stickers...since there is no other way to stop the theft other then giving them nothing to steal

I like the logic you use Shadow crazy. Since you can't stop people from stealing stickers, it follows that you should stop make stickers for people to steal. Sound about right? I don't think that's the best argument for your case. Oh, and I never mentioned anything about taking away the eyetoy or photo option. I think they're necessary tools when creating a level. Even if they did use the eyetoy or photo option the quality of the photo would degrade. I just wish there was a better solution to this problem, that's all.

I agree, broseph. When I play online everyone tries to steal my h4h stickers. (that I make for fun of course!) @Renamon: There should also be an option for people who aren't on your FL To edit your costumes/pod

Well if there was a tool it would probaly be something close to how ifyou try to pick up a sticker say from the Vera Bee pack, and you donot own that pack, you will end up deleting it the second you hit X.

That's exactly what I was thinking, but it seems people don't like the idea. Another way of doing it, would be to have an option on the scoreboard that allows people to take stickers when they leave the level. Like I said before, LBP supports the idea of "free sharing" Anything you publish online is free game. So in the words of my little buddy over there, "best solution you can do is stop making these stickers...since there is no other way to stop the theft other then giving them nothing to steal." Now to delete this thread if i knew how

This doesn't sound good at all... Stop making stuff because someone else could steal it. No! Go on making stuff/stickers - maybe the core of creators will know where they came from. Actually they all seem to be registered here...
