Soil and other natural objects

Archive: 20 posts

I am wondering if there will ever be an option on objects that appear naturally, not flowers and trees made of felt, etc. But a sandbox, or forming stone. I really want to make a Fraggle-Rock themed level, and have it kind of like the show, with things drug in from 'Outside-space'. I think it would be neat to have water you can edit as well, that conforms to the physics of the world, you have it gush down a ramp, and it puches x to y, or whatever.

What do you think b/?

Sorry if this is a repost.

Totally awesome ideas. I would love to have a more organic feel as well. It already does probably more than any game out there, but I'd love to have them push it even further.

Welcome here.

I don't think LBP will be doing an open beta. And beta's aren't always online. Any of us would be extremely lucky to get on the beta test, as It means being on the whole SCEE beta scheme, which millions are trying to get on, even though its closed atm.

You guys are talking more about a demo.. It would be released when the game is as near-perfect as they can get, and alot of PS3 Demo's do have online now..

Anyway, the original post. I'm almost certain you'll get stone. You have shells already and some looked like fossils to me.. (set in stone)
They have announced that water is entirely possible as-well, but it wasn't implemented when they said that, not long ago. Im fairly certain they will provide natural things to create with.

Woot! 200th post!

A beta is for testing online...other wise, its a demo. They might do a open one close to release, no one knows.

Uh, no, beta is testing any game for glitches and gameplay issues, and is the full game, usually. For games without online play, beta testers are just game testers and its their job.. they get paid to do it. It's a pretty awesome job but it doesn't pay too well.
