A crown for Morgana...

Its about time our den mother was crowned, she's put a lot of work into our spotlight for the last year giving us great levels to play, makes some fine levels herself, and is a great member around the forums. | I echo what was said above. Morgana should be crowned for so many different reasons. For example, the tremendous amount of time she spends on the spotlights, ensuring that people stay interested in the game and play quality levels <-- this alone should give her a crown. Not to mention all the behind the scenes magic that we (the public) don't even know about that Morgana is involved in but too modest to mention. Her awesome levels also speak for themselves. | Aw, grant beat me to this thread, gosh darn it. If media molecule could somehow see this, I think they should know how much Miss Caryn deserves a crown. She's been extremely dedicated to this game and this community from the very beginning. She takes new players under her wing, winning herself the grand den mother title, but that's not all... her countless hours spent playing and spotlighting levels alone are enough to warrant her receiving a crown. I've never known such a hard worker. She was also probably one of the most dedicated beta participants I've ever seen. I'm pretty sure she made a level with almost everyone in the beta. but wait. There's more! Not only does she do all of this, but she finds time to create levels... and quality levels, too! I mean, come on. Who even has the time to do that and have a full time job!? Caryn, that's who! And she does it with grace, ease, and an overabundance of lighting. So, yeah. I could go on and on for ages. ... but I shall digress. | Just as a note: StevenI got a crown over at workshop because of a thread like this. Others tried after him, and Sam_the_Protagonist didn't want to give it to them because they were just whining for a crown. this is a genuine plea from the community, though. Morgana25 is the StevenI of this site, she is helpful, people love her, and she really needs to be recognized for her efforts. Well, being a helpful, active and useful member of the community is all it takes to get a crown over at the workshop, it seems. Now seeing as this board is far more active than the workshop (quick results in 120:25 members online right now), being even vaugely helpful here is arguably equivalent to being unbelievably helpful there,plus add in awesome level skills and the spotlighting effort and we have: Crown Morganna Nao!!!! | Yeah StevenI got crowned because of a similar thread to this, many did try after to no avail. I do believe she deserves it for her spotlight efforts without a doubt. Threads like this can be a slippery slope though, hence why Sam's opening line in Steven's crowning thread was 'In the first and only publicly nominated crown'... | Morgana is one of the most patient, enthusiastic and encouraging people involved both on LBPC and in LBP itself. Her knowledge, coupled with her ability to share that knowledge, plus her tireless behind-the-scenes work, is a testament to how many friends and colleagues have posted here. | Here Here Hear ye, hear ye aye the aye's have it Without the constant vigilance of the spotlight team, this site wouldn't be so attractive, and there wouldn't be an actual community so thriving and dedicated. Without the appeal of notoriety and recognition from likeminded peers and critics, perhaps there might not be such a high drive for creators to continue striving for excellence week in and week out, or so many people flocking to this spot because of the pride in creating and the sense of support and friendship that's found here. It's the reason we all followed aer0blue's lead and plastered our levels with LBPC stickers and promos, everytime we published a level we were proud of, in hopes that more talent and more players would come here and see the house that LBP built. I know for a fact that Morgana works her butt off on the spotlight, and it must be grueling now because they're by far bigger than ever, the talent pool is 5 times as big, picking and choosing is even harder, and keeping up on all of it WHILE creating your own stuff and giving people tons of constructive feedback and positive support is almost too much to do. I know that's why I couldn't keep up with it anymore, but if I wasn't finding a gem or two in the showcase or on the server, I knew I could always join (try to fit in anyway) Morgana in the wee hours of the morning and she'd be diligently working on going through the showcase levels, reviewing the rest of the teams recommendations, or just showing everyone she can everyone's awesome levels that they put tons of work into. She has by far the most nurturing attitude when it comes to fostering a support system for creators new and old alike on this site, and by extension in the game. | Thanks you guys & gals I think I'm just going to load up this thread when I'm having a bad day - I'm so humbled and grateful for all the kind words and recognition for the time and effort I've put into Spotlight and level work.... I'm really just speechless and so lucky to have found this great community. Shiny hat or no, I'm feeling like a queen today for sure thanks to you. I'm feeling a little singled out though. There are many many other creators that should be recognized as well. @ Wex - you are so generous but I could never accept that. YOU are one of my great inspirations and so deserving of that crown. | So... do we start another thread for Zwollie? Or, we could create a whole new section on the website with separate threads for people who we think deserve crowns.... Or we could create a separate website dedicated to getting people crowns.... | I'm a volunteer, definetely. What can I say that hasn't been said already? MORGANA does deserve a crown. She is such an active part of thye community that LBPC wouldn't be quite the same without her. And I'm being literal. When I first joined here, it was Zwollie and she who put me under their wings and even playtested my level. Boy, I couldn't be happier. This little example goes to show how caring she is (not to fotget Zwoll!) with just about everybody who crosses her path. I'd even dare to say that everybody in this forum who has played trough the spotlights is in a bit of a debt with her, since there's so much of Morgana poured in every one of those. No matter how you look at it; we're not expressing a wish, neither an opinion. It is a FACT that Morgana deserves a Crown. Long live to the Queen! I don't think anyone has any idea what was going on in the spotlight crew at the time. I was by myself, in the dark, lonely, trying to play as many levels as I could by myself... I had been invited into the spotlight crew... and then everyone abandoned me all at once. In fact, I told ConfusedCartman that as soon as I found a crew I was quitting. But I stayed on for quite a bit longer because you, Grant, and Coxy were awesome to work with - it was fun again. And we still have the best spotlight crew! And Matt and Zwollie only made it better.
