LBPC: The League

Well, this is kinda a crazy idea mr radical came up with, and although he didn't mean for it to be an official site thing, I thought I'd at least try my luck and see what happens.

Basically, this Contest Team would be a team of people who would create Mini Challenges, a'la the ones in LBP Survivor (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=19757-Survivor-LBP-2!-Win-1000xp-and-a-PSN-game!-8-Players-Remain!), or just general contests.

People who succeed in these challenges would obtain points. These points would accumulate, and someone would update a list with all the points (I could probably do that, I like inserting data into leaderboards...)

So, for instance, if someone wins a contest, they get the points and go into a leaderboard. Simple as that.

People could then also challenge other users, and wager a bet- like they both wager 20 points. Then they partake in a challenge akin to the ones mr radical makes for LBP Survivor (watch the videos, he really makes some good ideas for stuff like this :/). Winner takes all.

As for the prizes for the actual points, I'm really not too sure... mr radical said he may be able to buy a cheap PSN game for the winner every month or so, but i don't want him to have to waste too much money on this of course.

Even if CC/LBPC in general doesn't want this an official aspect of the site, me and mr radical could probably do it on our own (maybe with help from more people)- I'm kinda just asking if site contests could give points for this as well, or a tab on the screen, or something else, I unno. I'm just getting this out there, so tell us what you think. We'll hopefully do it even without official support, even if it's different.

I kinda just made it here cause I'm bored, and people seem to pay more attention to me then to mr radical (his words, not mine, although it is a bit true...)

Anyway, yes. that's mr radical's idea, so I'll just go now. Let us know what you think.

how about we call it "LBPC: The League"... maybe we can even get someone to make an official red and blue logo like the nba and mlb have.

seriously though, it would be awesome if we could get official backing in any way whatsoever. even a sticky when we finally open a thread in the contest section would be great. if you want to see how much we're willing to put into a contest, check out the official companion site for Survivor: LBP.

I've had a lot of fun running the two games of Survivor, and I think that a competition in this "league" format would be a great way to get as many people involved as we can without really demanding a lot of time or investment from any one of them.

so powers that be... magic eight ball.... Oz... whoever... let us know...

Well, mr radical could, but i don't wanna force that on him... then again he'd kinda be in charge, I just made this in the hope more people would respond... kinda didn't work.

Anyway, for survivor, he buys a game code from amazon less then 5.99 and sends it to the winner. Although he didn't eyt because brunvictim wanted Water round 1, which still isn't on amazon...

anyway, yeah. I guess he should answer that really ;-;

I figured the things that would make it "LBP themed" would be that we're running it on a LBP forum and playing the challenges in LBP.

For survivor, it's pretty much up to the winner what they want to get so long as it's within the price guidlines and available on amazon. Theoretically, that could be DLC. I find that having the option for the players to pick what they want give a little more incentive than deciding on one specific item. Maybe the only DLC a player doesn't have is the history pack, but they really wanted to get Critter Crunch... Options are Radical.

i guess no one has a sense of humor... The League is supposed to be sarcastic... no one seems to take contests too seriously, so I figured I'd make fun of a video game that came out a while back with our name. Anyone remember Blitz: The League?
