Welcome to this new deep story tale.
I've been working for about five months on this project and are finally ready the first two chapters.

http://i267.photobucket.com/albums/ii317/tlalocine/Nocte.jpg
In this second chapter of the series, Nocte must find a bubble of time. Just so he can pursue their goals. Although Nocte has successfully ridden, his luck led him to a distant land in a more distant time.

here, that is certainly a huge excavation. Each element of the pyramid and the excavation was made piece by piece.

Just like chapter 1, Use this Notebooks to get information of the level, clues or Noctes thoughts

This level is built with a structure where the puzzles are even on the same platform. You must constantly ask what is the best way forward for the various challenges. Taking into account the elements on the screen and remember that everything has a solution.

Okay, your research skills have led you into this huge pyramid. If you think you've seen everything ... expected to meet the challenges inside the pyramid.

You'll have to cross the oceans of lava to reach the underground city.
Perhaps if you are adventurous enough you can risk youself and you can go after the king's treasury.
Unfortunately these photos do not show the dynamism of the level, the lighting design and sound.
This chapter has more platform. This level is more exploration and adventure
Chapters 3 and 4 coming soon.

Hey there

This level is very impressive. The pyramid is really well built and the visuals are amazing. I liked how much though you put into your obstacles. some of the puzzles were very tricky.

The pyramid at the start was a great maze and took some time to think out how to get around it. after getting through the pyramid and going underground the obstacles down there were equally as impressive. I suggest giving a little more room, if possible, to the puzzle with the rotating sand ball. The spikes were very close and it took a long time to move the wheel.

The part with the statues whose arms you had to use to get to the other side was really cool, although you paid a steep penalty for falling down. It took a long time to get back up to the top, and after the first time falling I just used the restart button.

The puzzle with the moon, earth and sun were also really neat and it was one of my favorite rooms, visually.

Overall I'd say tour level is a real adventure, with some excellent puzzles that were well thought out. I know english probably wasn't your first language but you should try to find someone to fix up the dialogue for you because it can get confusing Other than that, very well done!

If you could try out and review my level, The Aquaduct, as your f4f I would be most appreciative! here's a link:

Thanks!

I played both of these last night, some of my thoughts:

Pros:

To start things off, you are a master of storytelling and you really manage to suck the player into this world you created.
The visuals are well done on both chapters, chapter 2 is my favourite though as I loved your stylised egyptian settings, very atmospheric.
Impressive puzzles all around, well thought out and nicely excecuted.
Details
Your characters
Overall polish
The rocks with bubbles inside is a great example of small details, they do matter.

Cons:

Mostly a small issue I had with chapter 1:
I would have preferred if you thought of a way to kill the player instead of having him pop to get to the next scene.
It takes a bit too long.
Chapter 3?

Overall an excellent start of your series, I can't wait to see where you will take us next.
:star::star::star::star::star: and a http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r80/Zwollie/ist1_4913220-heart-icon.jpg?t=1264586505 on both of them.

Very well done!!

Yeah, I've been waiting for a thread on this website, I'm glad you've made one !

I really enjoyed this series, the chapter one was very impressive and stunning ! What a great introduction !

This second one was even better, the riddles were really smart and platform parts (scaffoldings, etc...) were really enjoyable !

However I got stuck, after the sand wheel, I fell in the aperture but I dunno what to do (after turning on the switch and grabbing the sponge).

Excellent level anyway :hero:

Hi,

I played your level earlier today and thought it was really impressive.
Congrats for your accomplishments!
I even got the king's treasure in the room that "there is no turn back".
(that sentence you put there got me a bit scared, lol)

As possible improvements I would second two things that has already been said:

Ch2:
"The part with the statues whose arms you had to use to get to the other side was really cool, although you paid a steep penalty for falling down. It took a long time to get back up to the top, and after the first time falling I just used the restart button. "
I would suggest that maybe you could think of something to help the player get to the top in an easier way after he completed the "penalty" one time.

Ch1:
"I would have preferred if you thought of a way to kill the player instead of having him pop to get to the next scene. "
I would suggest something you did throughout the Ch2, that is, put a place where the player would normally walk in, but then he would die and go to the next part. This way the player wouldn't need to kill himself and yet, he would have 'control' in between the cutscenes, which is something i really like. xD

But for me your level the way it is, is already really awesome.
I'll probably play it through again, and if I think of anything that IMO would improve it I write it down here.

Looking foward for the next chapter! xD
As Zwolle, I'm also wondering where you'll take us next.
Thanks for making and sharing.

I've added a checkpoint once you get the first penalty section. (Although the penalty is a fun section the first time) When you climb back there is a checkpoint that was not previously even with a legend that offers help jaja. That way if it slides off the arms, is easy to start from the top Well, it's good to know the details that need improvement in the level. Thanks again!!!!2010-01-28 01:16:00

Hi Thor,

I was playing your level again earlier today and noticed some changes you did and IMO they're all welcome.

However a glitch that did not happen before happened now, don't know if you're aware of it...

When I'm finishing the penalty for falling from the statues' arms, there's a room with timing switches and with gas at the top.
When I passed this room (as the gas together with the platform I'm in go up) and made the first jump out of the platform that went up, I fell inside the ground. I took this pic at the place and put a red circle to show where I fell:

http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=12151

normally, I mean, the other time I was in this room, I could walk there... strangely now, I just passed through it and probably stepped in something that's inside this wall.

Then when I walked to the right side of the screen (beyond the platform that goes up as I press the red switch in this room), I fell to the room below:

http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=12152

and then I noticed that I was able to go through this whole wall:

http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=12150

(I changed to Barbosa Costume because his hat would still be visible while I'm in the wall layer)
Then, as I walked right I kept falling to rooms below, until I died at the room which a black gas take the room all over (the room before the mummy survival challenge).

Well, I hope I made it clear...
Unfortunately I don't have a clue of what this could be.
I never had a similar problem.
Though I guess that the fake wall you did in a room nearby could be somehow interfering this room. But thats just a wild guess.
By the way I was playing with another player (2 total), if that could help you figure out what could have happened.

I'll probably play your level again.
And at that opportunity I'll try to check if the glitch will repeat.

Hey, thanks for letting me know this detail. Yesterday I played did not happen and some friends not notified me. It could have been a mistake the moment, and hope does not happen again, however I will continue to check this part to see what happened. Thank you very much.

By the way in working in your feedback too.

I played this about a week ago and the detail was magnificent, I especially liked the scaffolding on the pyramids. It's good to have a change of pace and to play something a bit more serious and emotional. The only problem I had was that sometimes I could not understand what was being said because the English is translated oddly, but that's hardly your fault. Five stars, and when will part 3 be out?2010-02-09 10:28:00

The third chapter will be published in a month or two because im polishing the basic structure of the gameplay! Sorry about the language, i even take support of two online translator... i will try next time to make a better translation.

Just played the level and I though it was great. It was very polished and had great visuals. You made really great use of the Egyptian theme, especially at the excavation at the beginning, and the end with the invisible fire area and the underground city. The puzzles were really cool, too, although it was a little tricky to tell where exactly you were pointing the light in the sun and moon puzzle and frequently killing your self was annoying. I would also suggest making sure that none of your magic mouths that are near hazards have a cut-scene camera because this can result in many unfair deaths. (I noticed a few of these, one of them was in the sun and moon puzzle room.) Overall though, it was a fantastic level. 5/5 and a heart. Please give me some feedback on my level, Mysterious Planet: Black Ore (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=21278-Mysterious-Planet-Black-Ore). Thanks.2010-02-13 19:17:00
